Chapter 45 --> The Unbeknownst Reality
Chapter 45 --> The Unbeknownst Reality.
→ [START]
Something crackled in the cellar. The air pulsated with an electrical, living lights. Several silhouettes with no true physical form came to be within the small room. Their bodies not tangible but based on their respective whim. Their eyes unearthy and luminescent. Their cells nanobots. Their goals definite.
In the Hugh Residence, the blue house, the empty home lacked the usual noise of teenage antics. The air began to pulsate as if it were alive with many colors.
Side by side, the obvious leader and his right hand lady, an inseperable two, stood in front of the small group to discuss the near future.
"It appears there is going to be a problem with the one set to arrive soon...." The leader glowed brightly, the yellow lights were blinding as they were dazzling. Despite the flood of light his features remained shrouded, mysterious.
"All the others have been fine, what makes this one different?" His right hand said with a deadpan tone surprisingly held a hint of curiousity, a rare display of emotion. What makes this time any different than any other? What made this newcomer any more dangerous than the others? Her pink light flashing like a warning siren's as she looked up to her leader. Because she was always on his side she knew his profile by heart.
"If not personally dealt with this will bring an end to the peace that has been set in balance here." A grim declaration from a most jovial leader was an ominous warning. This sent a stir among their subordinates who had been silently listening to the two as if they were bystanders to the two's podcast.
"Do you have a plan?" Her cold voice cut through the chatter, bringing the room to silence once more.
"Do not worry... It shall be dealt with. By any means necessary. With everyone's help..." His glowing yellow eyes looked off into the distance just then.
The distant sound like that of a wounded animal... an anguished cry... could be heard, coming from the direction of the leader's gaze.
It was time to make their move.
"As the Keepers of the Program, we can't let this happen...."
The group looked up to their leader for the signal.
"Ain't it fun...! Finally a mission for us!" On the shorter side in comparison to his companions, this figure exclaimed with a childlike excitement, surrounded by sparkling purple lights like pops of fireworks.
"What a handful...." Beside the playful shorty spoke the low voice of the stockiest being present. His towering figure was all for show and he was gentle as he pats the gleeful being. His voice held a hint of exasperation, but he spoke with a grin in his tone. His big body gave off a blue buzz as he flexes, enthusiastic, ready for action.
"Keep watch, K.O.P.s... Disperse....!" The mellow voice of their leader were their send off.
The once crowded cellar was now empty.
Except one remained, lagging behind the others. The air pulsated a dull red light. With the others gone ahead only her colors filled the dark room. Alone remained the single shadowy figure, smaller than all the rest. The short shadowy figure slowly morphed at the intense glow into a young child. She appeared in a girl's form. Her white, bluish, hair overflowed. Her emotionless eyes were a neon red. A cute black, white and blue lolitta dress adorned her petite form. Her reason to stay behind unclear.

"Tip the scale of peace huh.... That is indeed troublesome...." she mumbled quietly with vacant eyes.
There was a warbled sound that came from her head. She clutched her head to stop the sound but her temporary body warbled. She became see through and her body turns from solid to pixelated. The synthesized being clung to a table until she finally stabilized.
In order to distract herself she picked up a picture frame. A family all with blue eyes and dark hair, except for the mother whose eyes were warm and brown. The little being narrowed her eyes as she focused on the blue eyed girl in the picture, the one with the biggest grin of all.
"What would you do..... master..." She said aloud to herself. Her gaze fixed unblinkingly on the girl in the picture frame.
"Beta, go...!"
She spun around searching for the owner of the voice that knew of her alias. She narrowed her eyes suspiciously and her gaze flickered around the area as she was the only one in the room. Or was she. She was now aware of approaching footfalls. Maybe the disembodied voice was letting her know she had company coming...?
"Dammit... I cannot believe we left Natalya behind!"
A sound came from nearby but the expressionless girl seemed unfazed about being discovered. The petite girl calmly set the picture down and just as someone flicked on the light she vanished into a blast of red pixels that shimmered under the florescent glow above and dispersed.
"Couldn't someone-- anyone remember my precious cousin, my god!" Naomi ranted as she entered the kitchen and she tossed the fast food leftovers onto the table knocking over the picture frame resting there.
"Oops..." She picked up the frame and gazed at the photo of Natalya who was
surrounded by her parents and her big brother Leon.
She smiled softly and placed it back in its original position.
"Now I'm the official babysitter for you guys until Natalya returns, so prepare yourselves!!" What she heard in response made her laugh out loud.
"Have mercy!"
Unaware of the presence that had been there and what had transpired moments before, Naomi pranced out of the kitchen.
