《Prologue》

I had been wondering for six months whether I should publish this book or not. I was inspired to write this after listening to HEAVENS' Paradise Lost drama CD and the songs 'Fall on Me' and 'Beside You'. Though, otome games also inspired me to write some specific scenes. In other words, this book is just a fragment of my imagination. Lemme say it again, this is an AU version of Paradise Lost.

It has been a whole year since I published my first fanfiction book 'Angel of HEAVENS  (Uta no Prince- Sama)'. So,this makes today the perfect opportunity to publish another book.

Even though I've been 'working' on this work for approximately seven months, I've only completed writing 30% of it. I procrastinate too much :P

That aside, I'm gonna focus on this book once I complete my other HEAVENS fanfiction book 'Black Garden'. Meaning, updates are gonna be slow.

Anyways, reviews are well appreciated. Enjoy reading....I hope?

"Good work today," a brunette woman told her co-workers as she took her bag and left her desk. Her fellow co-workers bid her goodnight.

With a skip in her steps, the woman walked down the hallways. She had a bright smile on her face, her golden orbs vibrant with joy. She had a reason to be so happy.

She hummed to herself softly while she waited for the elevator door to open. Once the door opened, the sight of two other women inside caused the brunette to smile harder.

"Tomo-chan! Haruka!" The brunette woman joined her two best friends in the elevator.

"Akari!" The beautiful woman with burgundy hair and magenta eyes, Shibuya Tomochika, or referred to as 'Tomo-chan', exclaimed. A glance and anyone could tell she was a sophisticated beauty.

"Hi, Akari-chan," the cute woman with pink hair and bright eyes, Nanami Haruka, greeted the brunette.

"Just the two I wanted to see!" The woman with the striking golden eyes, Tenshouin Akari, smiled. Her hands grabbed hold of both the female's hands.

"Oho~ Aren't you excited?" Tomochika grinned. "Not that I don't understand why you are so excited."

Haruka giggled softly. "Akari-chan, have you been lively like this the whole day?"

"Of course! How can I not be?" Akari's eyes sparkled like stars. "I managed to get my hands on a STARISH and Quartet Night's concert ticket!"

In the two women's eyes, Akari seemed to be glistening because they could see flickers in a vivid background behind her.

"Lucky you, Akari." Tomochika claimed, her grin turning into a sad smile. "I would've tried too but I already have plans to go abroad then. Ugh! Why do they have to hold the final concert of their joint tour six months later!?" She clutched her head in frustration, messing strands of her burgundy hair in the process.

"Oh, Tomo-chan!" Akari grabbed the former in a bear hug. "I'm going to miss you SOOOO much there!"

"Me too." Haruka joined Akari and hugged their other friend, though not as tightly as Akari. Luckily, they were the only ones present in the elevator. Speaking of, the elevator was on its way to reach the ground floor.

"Lemme...go," Tomochika squeaked because they were hugging the air out of her. The two females let her go and smiled sheepishly.

At that time, the elevator door opened with a 'ding' and they stepped out. Three of them started walking out of the building.

The magenta eyed woman sighed. "Man, of all the times, why did I schedule a trip then?"

Haruka and Akari patted their best friend's back. Tomochika then turned to her friends, "Make sure you two enjoy the concert for me, okay?"

"Okay!" The two chirped.

Haruka started, "I'm really looking forward to seeing STARISH."

"You really like STARISH, eh, Haruka?" Akari asked, smiling.

"Yes. Their songs make me really happy and warm on the inside," the pinkette gave a brilliant smile.

"That's true."

Tomochika sighed again. "And I really wanted to see Quartet Night perform...."

"Aww, Tomo-chan, it's alright. We'll watch the blu-ray together once it's released," the brunette tried to cheer her friend up.

"....okay."

They exited the tall building together. It was a coincidence that the three college friends ended up working in the same company.

"Hey, let's have dinner together! It's been a while since we've gone out to eat," Akari proposed, turning in her heels to face her friends.

"Sure!"

"You're saying that you're inviting us for dinner but actually you just want to fangirl about the idols," Tomochika grinned mischievously.

"Mou, Tomo-chan." Akari pouted. "That may be the real reason for inviting you guys but like I said, it's been a while since the three of us ate together."

"Yes, it's been a while," Haruka agreed with the brunette. "Where shall we go tonight?"

"I wanna eat yakiniku!" The golden eyed female said aloud.

"Yakiniku sounds appetizing," Haruka joined.

"All right. Yakiniku it is," Tomochika grinned. And so the three friends went to their favourite restaurant.

We ended up spending more time than we intended.

"I'll get going now or I'll miss the last train," Akari told the two.

"Oh, that's right," Tomochika stated. "See you tomorrow." Tomochika waved.

"Goodnight, Akari-chan." Haruka smiled.

Akari went in one direction while those two went in another because their houses were close to each other.

.  .  .  .  .  .  .

I still can't believe I can go to their concert! Akari thought to herself as she walked down the street.

STARISH and Quartet Night were famous boy bands. They were the best in Japan while also being known internationally. STARISH consisted of seven members, like a rainbow. On the other hand, Quartet Night was a band of four members, just like their name.

Haruka is a major STARISH fan while Tomo-chan likes Quartet Night. Which group do I like better? . . . . . . How about both? I like both the groups equally. Thinking about the eleven idols made the woman feel giddy. As someone who had supported the two groups since their debut, she wanted to squeal in joy for their success. Unfortunately, if she suddenly shrieked in the middle of the street, people would doubt her sanity.

As Akari walked, she noticed a gathering of people from some distance. Curiosity getting the best of her, she started to go in that direction. But due to the crowd, she couldn't see what was going on.

"Um..." she asked the person in front of her, "what is happening here?"

Turning around, the person answered her, "There has been a car accident. The injured people have been taken to hospital."

"Oh..." A car accident...that's awful. "Thank you for telling me." With a small bow of courtesy, Akari left that scene feeling bad for the injured.

However, while she was riding the train, she heard news of another accident. Apparently, fire broke out in a building, causing some casualties.

Finally, she reached the apartment she lived in. Unlocking the main door, she entered inside her small but cozy home.

"I'm back," she told no one.

After Akari began working, she started living alone in Tokyo. Even if it felt lonely sometimes, living alone had its perks. There was no one to rebuke her for reading manga and listening to music till late night!

After having a shower, she flopped down on her bed.  I'm tired~ She turned around so that she was lying on her back. Her gaze lingered on the ceiling. A lot of accidents are happening these days. . . I hope it stops soon....

"I should dry my hair,"mumbling, she sat up on the bed. While blow drying her hair, her eyes drifted off the window. The sky is supposed to be clear tonight. I wonder if the stars are out now...

Akari looked at the clock. It's not that late. I can enjoy a bit of stargazing.

Deciding not to change out of her pyjamas, she put on a knee length cardigan over her blue and white sleepwear and headed for the roof; excited for looking at the night sky.

.  . .  . . .  .

It's so pretty...  Akari gazed up at the night sky. Many stars were twinkling brightly. The sight of stars brought a big smile on her face. The lights of the roof were out, allowing her to get a better view of the night sky. She put her elbow on the railings and placed her chin on her palm. The cool night breeze flew past her, stroking her brown hair.

Since childhood, Akari had always loved the stars. They were pretty, yes, but there was something else that she felt while watching the celestial objects. The stars made her feel as if....

It feels as if the stars are connecting the earth to heaven. . .  Akari thought as she admired the luminary objects. She was getting absorbed in her imaginary world.

"Ugh....!!" All of sudden, she felt a sharp pain in her head. The pain was really sharp, enough to form tears in the corner of her eyes. Akari fell on her knees while clutching her head. As sharp as the pain was, it was gone in an instant.

W-What….. was that..?

Standing up,she wiped the corners of her eyes. After doing so, Akari opened her eyes. But what she saw made her widen her eyes.

.....What in the world.......

What she saw made her forget that she was in extreme pain a few seconds ago.

The whole city was surrounded by black and dark mist. The fog-like clouds were covering the city like an evil spirit. She could feel nothing but a sinister and ominous vibe from these mists. Her legs gave out and she fell on the floor.

What…. What's happening!?

As if all this wasn't enough to throw her mind,a bright white light suddenly surrounded her. She could see nothing but white. Her eyes shut tightly because the brightness was pricking her. Yet,the light enveloping her felt surprisingly warm.

!?!?!

The light around her began to fade. Once the light disappeared and she adjusted her eyes, she saw something she never thought she would.

A soft gasp left her lips and her eyes, wide like saucers, stared at the sight in front of her.

There, on the roof of her apartment, stood seven males. And they were no ordinary men. Their clothing was strange, yes, but something else astonished her tremendously.

The seven men had wings on their backs.

To be continued.

So? What do you think? Veeeery different from the original drama track, let alone Utapri.
