Part 2;

*Alexie's POV*

"J-James?" I croaked out, still admiring the tall, slender figure stood in the doorway.

"I'm sorry, Shannon said it was cancelled" he panted.

"Well, your here now so that's all that matters" I said before regaining my focus on the baby on the screen, who was kicking about like crazy.

"Well, James come sit down and I can reveal the gender of this little munchkin" Jodie smiled as James sat down beside me.

I extended my hand hoping he will hold it. When he did I clasped it as hard as possible. I wasn't letting go for anyone or anything.

"Well, you see that there?" Jodie pointed inbetween the legs.

James and I leant forward and squinted at the screen.

"There's nothing there" James' accent filled the room.

"Exactly" Jodie beamed.

"Is that good?" I asked, unsure of what was happening.

"Yes Lexi, say hello to your daughter" Jodie beamed. I watched James' reaction, his jaw dropped down.

"It's a girl?" James croaked out.

"Yes, that's what a daughter means" I giggled.

"Are you happy about a girl Lexi?" Jodie enquired.

"I didn't mind" I muttered back. I didn't care because I didn't want this baby.

"And how about you dad, a little girl?" Jodie spoke again.

"I'm-" James began speaking.

"He's not the dad" I shot back immediately.

"Oh yes, sorry Alexie" Jodie said as she looked down.

James and I were having a daughter. A daughter who wasn't going to stay with us. Someone else's daughter.

*James' POV*

I might be having a daughter. A daughter.

Lexi didn't seem as happy as I expected. Normally they cry or something, but she didn't seem attached to it like I would be if that was my daughter.

I'd drop Shannon in a heartbeat if that meant I could be with Lexi and her daughter.

"Well, she is very healthy and very active so keep doing what your doing" Jodie said as she typed at the computer screen.

"Thank you" Lexi smiled as she took her hand away from mine. She began wiping her stomach of the gel stuff.

"Welcome, now here are your pictures of your healthy baby girl" Jodie beamed as she handed Alexie an envelope.

Is it really that obvious? Everyone keeps calling me dad and Barclay seemed weird earlier.

Alexie got up and pulled her Tshirt down, she shoved the envelope in her handbag and pulled her coat on over her neat, round bump.

We left the room and Alexie stormed off.

"Lex, what's up?" I called out.

"Nothing James but go back to that skank of a girlfriend you have" she yelled at me.

"She's not my girlfriend, Lexi" I shouted. "Id be with you if I could" fuck I shouldn't of said that.

"Yeah, well I'm with Blake now" she sternly replied. I could feel my heart sinking.

"Where's he now then?" I shouted.

"He had to leave and I understand why!"

"Why? Why did he have to go, another girl on the go?" I questioned.

"Of course not, ask that monster Shannon" Lexi screamed as we were in the car park.

I could see Jess sat in her car waiting to pick Lexi up.

"What's Shannon done?" I enquired loudly.

"She killed Blake's girlfriend and unborn baby" she yelled before running off to Jess' car.

I couldn't chase her anymore. Jess would kill me and I couldn't deal with that right now. I saw Jess glare at me through her window. I pulled my hands up to my head and just screamed.

What had I done? I don't understand.

*Jess' POV*

"So how was it?" I asked.

"Alright" Lexi murmured.

"What happened?" I questioned again. Knowing there wasn't something she wasn't telling me.

"Blake ran out and James turned up" she said quietly.

"Oh, urm" I replied, unaware of what to say.

"It's a girl" Lexi whispered.

"Oh wow, that's incredible" I smiled.

"But I know I can't keep her" Lexi frowned.

"You could keep her, I support you and so does Barc and the boys & girls" I reassured her.

"I know, but Shannon is going to keep sticking her face in" Lexi explained.

"She won't, I won't let her anywhere near you or your baby" I said sternly.

"But my daughter deserves a family who love her and can give her everything she wants and needs" Lexi said, tearing up slightly.

"Your daughter needs her mum and dad, her real ones. If you choose adoption I'll support you, but what's best for her is you and James together" I reassured.

"He's too wrapped up with Shannon" Lexi began crying.

"He's only wrapped up with her because he's scared he thinks he's lost you" I told her.

"Well he hasn't lost me, he's just being stubborn"

"Your being stubborn, James is willing to be there, he will step up for your baby" I told her "Barc always tells me"

"It's not my fault I don't want this baby"

"Well, everyone's at the house and they all want to know what your having. They think your keeping her" I pointed as her stomach.

"Then that's what I'll tell them, all my adoption papers are at your house, they won't find out"

"Okay, but I promise you, everything will be okay" I smiled reassuringly as we pulled into the house.

Everyone was there, including Barclay. The only one who won't be there is James.

I pushed open the door as Alexie walked up the pathway beside me. Her pace was slightly slower because of her bump.

"Alexie" Faye shouted as she got off of Chris' lap and threw her arms around her.

"Hey Faye" she giggled hugging her in return.

"So what's the baby?" Brooke asked as she handed Casey a beer.

"Yeah, is it a girl? Or a boy?" Meli questioned as she sat down beside Jake who placed her hand around her.

"Oh, I think it's a boy" Chelsea smiled as she placed Bradley on the floor, he began to kick about as Tom sat down beside him to play.

"Well, it's a girl" Alexie smiled. I could tell she was faking it but I went along with it.

"I've got some news too everyone" I called out.

"Yeah, we do" Barclay smiled as he walked over beside me.

"I'm pregnant" I beamed as Barc placed his hand on my stomach.

"Awww, double celebration!" Jake shouted loudly.

"Yeah, give us another beer" Casey called out as he was playfully hit in the arm by Brooke.

"That's incredible guys, two more baby kicks!" Chris called out as he pulled me into a hug.

"That's not far, a few months ago I was the only baby kick" Charlie pouted.

"Yeah, your baby, baby, baby, baby kick!" Reece giggled.

"Aww, Bradley's gonna have a girlfriend!" Tom laughed loudly from the floor.

"Yeah, I suppose" Alexie added.

"Any names?" Faye asked.

"Not yet, not really hit me yet" Lexi smiled again, rubbing her arms awkwardly.

"What about Casey?" Casey called out as he threw his hand up in the air.

"No Case" Lexi laughed, running her bump.

"Well, I'm a bit tired, I might go home" Lexi called out yarning.

"Yeah busy day" I added.

"It's only half 3" Meli shouted.

"You try being pregnant and carrying this thing day and night" Lexi said as she placed her hand on her stomach.

"Have fun in Essex if we don't see you before hand" Faye smiled as she pulled Lexi and I into a hug.

"Bye!" We both waved to everyone.

"I'll be down in a minute!" Barclay shouted.

"That was horrible" Lexi frowned as we heard the door slam shut behind us.

"I know but you did well"

"Is Barc coming?"Lexi enquired.

I nodded.

"Sorry" Barc apologised as he jogged up behind us.

"That's okay" we both smiled.

*Alexie's POV*

The drive home was slow. I didn't know where James was or where Blake was. They hadn't made contact and it was beginning to worry me.

Everyone was asking questions and now I was going to have to lie to them all.

"Lex? What's this?" Jess asked as she bent down and picked up a parcel and passed it too me.

"I don't know" I replied, taking the parcel off of her.

I pulled at the cello tape and pulled out the contents.

A small letter was attached to the fabric.

'I know what your up too'

Aye? What where they going on about? I pulled out a small baby grow which someone had written on.

'My Mummy Didn't Want Me'

I shoved it in my bag before Barclay found it. Who the bloody hell was sending me threatening messages?

I made myself comfortable in my room before there was a loud knock at the front door.

"I'll get it" I called out.

I pulled the door open to find James stood there with a present and a bunch of flowers.

"What do you want?" I snapped.

"Jess text me" he replied.

"Well I don't want you here" I shot back before closing the door. His foot jammed in it and pushed it open.

"Just hear me out?" He asked.

"No" I replied.

"Oh hey James" Barclay called. "Fancy a beer?"

He nodded.

James walked beside me and handed me the present and flowers before making his way into the living room.

"What's he doing here?" I pulled Jess to me.

"Your fixing this Lexi" she smiled before getting a drink.

I walked into the living room and sat down beside James.

Barclay and Jess came back in and placed the drinks on the table.

The exited quickly and I heard a door lock.

"Jess you haven't just fucking locked he door have you?" I shouted.

"It's for your own good Lex" she replied.

"Thanks for the present" I said as I smiled weakly.

"It's for your baby girl" he smiled. "Our baby girl" he corrected.

"James she isn't yours" I replied.

"She could be" he answered placing a hand on my bump.

Automatically I put my hand onto of his. Our foreheads connected and I looked up into his eyes.

"What have we become?" I asked.

"I don't know Lexi, but I still love you" he smiled.

"What about Shannon?" I asked.

"She's nothing to me, your the one I want to be with"

"You don't mean that, I'm not Shannon"

"I do mean that, I loved you ever since I first laid eyes on you" he began to sob.

"I love you too" I whispered. I felt his other hand on my cheek.

"I don't know what to do" James said weakly.

"Kiss me"

"What about Blake?" James questioned.

"He's just Blake" I responded before I felt his lips on mine.

I could feel my baby kicking hard. Our baby. Our daughter kicking. She loved James when he would place his hands on my stomach of when he kissed me.

"She likes me doesn't she?" James smiled as he pulled my Tshirt up, exposing my bump.

He placed a kiss on the top, she kicked back like it was a response.

He did it numerous times as tears began forming in my eyes. My hand began playing with his quiff. It felt like old times when he would come over and we'd talk for hours. He'd lie his head on my lap and I'd play with his hair.

He sat back up and pushed my hair back out of my face, before grabbing my cheeks and kissing me again.

I could feel us both smiling against the kiss. This was what I wanted. I was just scared that Shannon was going to ruin this for me, and part of me believes she was the one who sent that package.

*Barclay' s POV*

"It's been an hour" Jess smiled as we were lead in bed.

"They haven't killed one another have they?" I asked.

Jess giggled and then snorted slightly.

"I don't think so"

"Let's go check on them" I suggested before we untangled ourselves.

We tiptoed to the room next door and quietly unlocked the door.

Jess peered in and smiled.

"Look Barc, they've fallen asleep"

"Aww that's cute, go chuck a blanket over them?" I whispered as Jess did exactly that.

She kissed their foreheads and awed at the fact James still had his hand draped over her bump protectively.

This must mean she's told him, but I won't mention it until he does.

A/N - Baby is a Girlham!

So, it was James who was stood in the doorway at the scan!

Everyone knows about the upcoming arrival being a girl! But no one knows about the adoption.

And isn't that just the cutest Jexie moment? Seems like their little girl knows about them and kicks as an indication!

Jess is trying to convince Lexi too keep the baby, do you think she will?

The next chapter is going to be a big one, you are going to meet Jason and Alexie's big brother Aden! It's set in Essex as James is going home and Alexie comes with him.

What about that package! Do you think Shannon's behind it?

Are there any names for the baby? I'd love to hear your suggestions! If I hear one I adore then that could away Alexie's decision!
