Thursday 29th January (17 weeks, 1 day)

*James' POV*

"How's Jess?" Tom asked Barclay as we were all seated in the living room.

A vast amount of equipment was all around, from guitars to pieces of paper with random lyrics on.

"She's been okay, she's been a bit off recently" Barclay replied as he reached the nearest pen to him.

"Pregnant" Reece and Charlie giggled.

"Do you even know how you get pregnant?" Casey laughed as Jake pinched Charlie's cheeks.

"When a mummy and daddy love each other very much" Charlie began to explain.

"That's it, I'm so proud of you" Chris smiled as he hugged Charlie who began to thank everyone.

"Well, she could be but it's too soon, we only said we would start trying a few weeks ago" Barclay sighed.

"It only takes once mate" I smiled weakly. It could have worked one time with Alexie.

"Aww, baby kick is now baby, baby,baby kick" Tom laughed loudly.

"But I'm still original baby kick" Charlie called out proudly.

"Or she could have got her hormones of Lexi" Jake shrugged his shoulders.

"She's pregnant, I think that's different mate" I laughed as I stood up for Alexie. She was pregnant, she could do what she wanted.

"So, is Shannon your girlfriend yet?" Chris asked.

"No, haven't asked her yet, but I'm thinking about it" I shrugged.

"I don't like her" Barclay said sternly.

"I like her" Tom added. "She's Bradley's aunty"

"She seems like a psycho" Jake added.

"Yeah mate, I'd be careful" Casey added, shuddering at the thought.

"Yeah well, I like her so you guys will have to get used to her being her because she's gonna be here for a while" I shouted before storming out of the room, slamming the door behind me.

I heard footsteps following me. I turned around quickly.

"Barc I don't care, just go see Jess or something? I think our writing session has gone down hill" I snapped.

"James, I'm not going to stop you from seeing her, you do what makes you happy" he smiled, placing his hand on my shoulder.

"Im just unsure" I muttered.

"It's Alexie isn't it?" Barc whispered. "We can all see it, we know you like her"

"But she's having a baby with someone else"

"You've told me you think it's yours, and I believe you" Barc smiled.

"She's my best friend and she would have told me, I just don't understand" I sobbed out.

"If Jess had a baby with someone else, I would still love her and the baby" Barclay added.

"It's just hard, they will look like Jason, it's going to be so difficult" I said quietly.

"James, it's obvious you like her, you need to tell her before it's too late" Barclay smiled another reassuring smile before leaving me stood in the hallway alone.

He was right, I needed to tell Alexie how I felt.

"James where are you going?" Reece asked.

"To Alexie" I replied.

"Text her Case" Tom added.

"Give me my shoe" I called out to Chris. He threw it to me.

"I'll drive" Barc called out as he grabbed his keys off the side.

"Go get your girl Graham!" They all chanted as we rushed out the door.

My heart started beating faster.

"Stop at a shop, I need to get some flowers & melon, Alexie loves melon" I shouted to Barc as he got in the front seat.

"Yes mate" he responded.

I was beyond nervous. I had never told a girl I loved her before, let alone my best friend. I wiped my sweaty palms on my jeans.

"James, it's okay. I know how your feeling, remember I asked Jess to marry me. I was shaky, my hands were sweaty and my heartbeat increased. She's my best friend, so it will work" Barclay beamed.

"But what about Blake?" I asked.

"Alexie likes you, Jess tells me all the time. We hear her in her room talking to herself, you could have a baby on the way too James"

"Wait? I can't be a dad" I panicked.

"You can, Tom can do it and so can you, she just needs love and reassurance for her and the baby. She needs stability and support" Barclay began explaining as his hands where on the steering wheel.

"You know a lot Barc, I don't know how you can do it" I replied.

"I can do it because I love Jess, I love the fact we are getting married and will be starting a family. I love the idea of our future together" his smile grew wider because he was talking about Jess.

Barclay pulled into the car park.

"You look really flustered, do you want me to go in for you?" Barclay asked politely.

I nodded, I don't think I could move from my seat.

"I'll be back in 5" he smiled before getting out the car.

I pulled out my phone from Jess. My heart rate increased if that was even possible.

From Jess;

James, hurry up. Blake's on his way over now and I know how Lexi feels, I'll try and distract her as much as possible, Jess xx

I saw Barclay appear with a massive bunch of flowers and a bag full of melons.

"Barc, we need to hurry, Blake's on his way over" I exclaimed.

"Oh fuck" Barclay cursed as he handed the shopping to me before adjusting himself in the seat.

He turned the key into ignition and began driving. Thankfully Jess' flat wasn't too far away.

I clutched the flowers close to me and inhaled the sweet scent.

"That's Blake's car isn't it?" I croaked out, shakily pointing to the silver car parked a few flats away from Alexie.

"I think so" Barclay frowned.

"Oh I can't take this Barc, he's there isn't he? He's taking my girl isn't he?" I began calling out.

"James, don't think like that, that might not be his car"

"But Jess text me" I frowned. "Just stop the car" I shouted out.

Barclay pulled up and I just got up and ran with the flowers in my hand.

The wind was strong and I felt like my heart was going to fall out my mouth.

I could hear Barclay behind me. I don't want Blake to be there.

I pushed the gate open and gasped. I dropped the floors and they fell to the ground with a thump.

Alexie broke away from the kiss and gasped loudly.

"James?" She called out.

Barclay came panting behind me. He was bent over slightly with his hands on his knees.

He looked up and went to touch my back.

"Save it Alexie" I called out before turning on my heels and running away.

I could hear Alexie screaming in the background, this just spurred me to run even further.

I could feel the tears forming in my eyes. I wiped them away. The only place I could go was Shannon's.

*Shannon's POV*

I looked down at the test on the side. Please, please, please be positive.

My phone beeped and I excitedly got up. I pulled the tests up.

Negative.

It can't be negative. I've made sure, I've always used my condoms. My condoms would get me pregnant. I can't have 5 negative tests.

Maybe I didn't prick them enough.

My phone buzzed again.

From Jamesy xx

On my way to yours now, I need to see you xx

I smiled widely and threw the tests in my bag. I grabbed my sexiest underwear and pulled it on.

My parents where out and there was soon a knock at the door. I opened it to see James. He was panting heavily.

"Hello sexy" I winked. Before pulling his hand inside, he kicked the door close and followed me upstairs.

I was going to get pregnant tonight even if it was going to kill me. James was going to love me, even if it means I have to lie to get him.

A/N - Sorry it's a shorter chapter, the next ones will be so much longer aha! So James was too late and blew his chance with Alexie! James really needed that heart to heart with Barclay, do you think he's gonna be running straight to Shannon like she wanted and she wants to get pregnant. Jealous much?

And what's she up to now? 5 negative pregnancy tests and she's still going, she will do anything to get attention won't she!
