Chapter 9

GUESS WHO GOT HER DOCS BACK <3

ps. it's me :)

(Y/N POV)

I've been wondering.

I stumbled back to my room, my heart pounding.

Pressing my keycard against the door, I ran into my room and threw myself onto my bed. Thoughts were swimming through my head, and I was drowning in the sea of worry.

How could I be so stupid?

I started falling for a guy who was too perfect to be true, and then I find out that he has a girlfriend. Not to mention that he was making moves on me, which is horrible considering he has a girl back home.

I groaned, and shoved a pillow in my face. I wanted to push every thought of him away, but his soft smile kept appearing in my thoughts. I had to see him in the morning anyways.

.....

3:50am

Bzz Bzz Bzz

I rolled out of my bed, my head banging. My body could feel the effects of the late night catastrophe, because I could barely lift my arm. I was exhausted.

I slipped on a light blue shirt, and threw on some sweatpants. If I was to be staying at the set all day, I might as well be comfortable. Grabbing my phone and my wallet, I left the room.

I passed by Aidan's door as I headed to the elevator, but I didn't bother thinking anything of it. I was here for a job, not for a boy.

This was my second day on set, so I had 12 days before I had to go home. I shouldn't get attached anyways.

Once I got to the starbucks, I picked up the black coffee and the granola for his breakfast. I was dreading our next meeting, but I knew it was inevitable. I couldn't mention anything about it though, because he doesn't know I saw the messages.

I probably shouldn't have read them in the first place.

"Hey, where'd you go?"

Aidan was bouncing out of his trailer, his face lighting up when he saw me. I sent him a weary smile, and stuck out my arms for him to grab his food. He didn't notice my awkwardness at first, which made me think.

Was I just a really awkward person? Have I been awkward this whole time, so he doesn't notice a difference?!

"I didn't want to intrude on your space," I said quickly, "so I went to my room for the rest of the night."

"Oh. guess what?"

"What?"

I had a feeling it had to do something with the text messages, but I let myself hope he wouldn't say anything more crushing.

"My best friend is coming to visit me," he said, "her name is Nina."

I didn't really register that her name is Nina, the only description I had for her was 'love of my life'. Was that whole contact name an inside joke?

"That's cool," I stated, "where will she be staying?"

"Same hotel I think," he said, "we haven't really worked that out."

"I see."

We stood there awkwardly for a bit, Aidan munching on his granola bar. I could hear the crunching of his food, and it was annoying me slightly.

"Okay let's go," I said, pushing him, "we need to get you to the make up trailer."

"But I'm not done with my granola!"

"Finish it later!"

"But I'm hungry!"

"Then shove it in your mouth and move!"

My hands were still on his shoulders, pushing him towards the designated trailer. What I said about shoving the granola in his mouth was an overstatement, but I don't think Aidan understood.

Puffing up his cheeks, he took off the remaining wrapper of his treat and swallowed the rest of it whole. I had never seen anything so amazing in my life.

"You scare me," I said, "but amaze me at the same time."

"I'm taking that as a compliment."

I laughed, and watched as he stumbled up the stairs and into the trailer. Before he went inside, he turned around and sent me a smile.

"Bai bai," he chirped, waving his hands wildly.

I smirked, but waved back. He looked satisfied with my response, because he smacked his lips on his palm and pretended to blow a kiss my way.

I was too shocked to catch it.
