Chapter 14

(Y/N POV)

Midsummers night dream.

My head was spinning.

It wasn't cool how Aidan kept playing with my emotions, because he kept pushing me away, then pulling me back again. It drove me crazy.

Speaking of him, I was sitting inside his trailer waiting on his arrival. He was supposed to be finished in a couple minutes, yet I was dying of boredom. Well, it gave me a lot of time to reflect over my decisions.

I really like Aidan, but he's not acting serious about me in anyway. He's playing around a bit, and it's getting really confusing.

Cameron on the other hand, he's cute, but I don't really know him all too much. But he seems to be interested in being my friend, not anything more than that, so I don't think I should pursue him.

Or you know, maybe I just don't have to feel pressured into liking anyone! Maybe I could just tend to myself, and not get attached. I'm leaving in less than two weeks now, so parting with everyone wouldn't be so bad.

I decided to get some fresh air, so I hopped out of the trailer and started walking down the gravely path. At first I thought I'd walk a few steps, then circle back around, but I got caught up in the cool breeze and kept walking.

"I'm having a hard time believing you're an assistant," I heard someone say, "all I see you do is wander around."

I turned my attention to a teenager, who looked about my age, sitting on the steps of the makeup trailer. He was tying his black suede shoes, ones I've seen Aidan wear, staring directly at me.

"I was just going on a walk," I said softly, "I'm an assistant though."

He intimidated me a tad bit, but I wasn't sure if he was trying to crack a joke or be snarky. He opened his mouth to say something, but I felt someone grab my hand and pull me away from the trailer.

"Don't worry about Dante," Cameron said, "he's just jealous."

I sent him a glance of confusion, and then yanked my arm away from his grip. He was holding onto my wrist too tightly anyways.

"Why is he jealous?" I asked.

"Because his assistant is a grumpy old man, and he's mad Aidan has you."

"There were a ton of girls who applied for the job, why didn't he just pick one of them?"

Cameron laughed. He thought I was being oblivious, and in truth I think I was.

"Aidan's a lead," he explained, "they give him what he wants. Dante got stuck with his assistant. A besides, he thinks you're cute."

"That's funny," I said, stifling a laugh, "I haven't even seen the guy before. How could he think I'm cute?"

"Just because you haven't seen him, doesn't mean he hasn't seen you."

"Jesus Cameron, you sound like a creep!"

He playfully rolled his eyes at me, and crossed his arms. We were standing outside of Aidan's trailer again, just chatting about random stuff.

"What are you doing after this?" he asked.

"Not sure, I'll have to ask Aidan."

"You have plans with him?"

"No, not really-"

I stopped talking when I realized Cameron was wiggling his eyebrows. I completely forgot he thinks I still like Aidan. Do I still like Aidan? I don't even remember at this point..

"No, it's not like that," I said defensively, "stop wiggling your eyebrows!"

"Fine."

He stuck out his bottom lip, an unsuccessful attempt at a pout.

"What are you guys doing?"

We both turned our heads to see Aidan standing in front of us. He didn't look amused by our conversation, or maybe us speaking in general, because his eyes were slightly narrowed.

"Talking," Cameron said, "I was just asking Y/N is she was busy after this."

"Are you planning on taking her somewhere?"

"Maybe."

"Cool," Aidan said.

It was pretty clear he wasn't interested in the conversation anymore, because he brushed past us and strode into the trailer. Yet again, another confusing signal from him!

"You know what," I said, "I'm not busy at all."

A/N: what's going on lately with Aidan? he says that the rumors aren't true, but I've been seeing some of his comments on instagram, and I'm not sure what to think.

UPDATE: this A/N was from a while ago^ I do not know what has happened after this, eek!
