Chapter 13

(Y/N POV)

Stuck in my thoughts.

I'm really bad at planning things.

As I held the two-scoop dessert in my hand, I watched as is melted slightly in the sunlight. How the heck was I supposed to get it all the way back to set, without it melting all over me and the hoodie?

I sighed, and started to run towards the train station at a full sprint. I was careful not to drop the ice cream, though.

It took a good 20 minutes to get off that crowded train, and I swear people were judging me. Well, in their defense, if I saw a girl with a half melted ice cream cone standing in the middle of a train and not eating it, I'd be confused.

As I hurtled my way through the trailers, I tried to find a fridge somewhere. My first thought was the kitchen, but then I remember they cater all their stuff. It's literally just a room with long tables.

I ran towards Aidan's trailer, and swung open the door, but then I realized it was too small to even fit a mini fridge, so I ran back out.

As I was running, I almost tripped over my shoelaces and crashed into a person. They were standing in my direct path, but I managed to see them quickly enough to get out of the way.

"Woah woah woah woah woah," I yelled, skimming past them, "sorry, ice cream coming through!"

"Are you looking for a fridge?"

I stopped in my tracks, gravel flying up from my feet. I spun around, the ice cream cone still melting at light speed.

"Yes, yes I am," I said, "where can I find one?"

"There's one in the make-up trailer," he said, "I'm heading there now, actually."

"Oh, thanks."

I started walking in a random direction, but when I saw he wasn't moving from his spot, I spun back around and started heading the supposed right way.

"Yep, you were going the wrong way," he laughed.

"It's only my second day here," I explained, "I have no clue where I'm going. I usually just run around until I find something familiar."

"Or you could just look at the park map."

"There's a map?"

"Yeah."

I sighed, and wiped off some vegan cream that fell on my hand. I could feel the boy eyeing me from the corner of my eye, but I ignored it. He was probably judging me, like the people on the train.

"Are you Y/N?" he asked.

"Depends on what kind of trouble I'll be in."

"No trouble, I'm just wondering."

"Yep, thats' me," I said with an exasperated tone.

Apparently every kid actor knew who I was, but that made little sense. If Aidan didn't mention me to anyone, who did? Ahhhhhhh, Cameron. He probably went and told everyone I was a clumsy assistant who dropped soda cans.

"Nice to meet you," he said, holding out a hand. He immediately drew it back when he realized my hands were full, "I'm blake."

"So you're the person who told Aidan about lunch with Cameron?"

"Was I not supposed to?"

"No you were, I'm just wondering why you did."

"Aidan was running around looking for you, so I told him. That's pretty much it."

"I see."

I felt my heart lift at the thought of Aidan running around looking for me, but then I dropped it when I realized who was coming tomorrow. I had forgotten all about Nina, when I probably shouldn't have.

Once we got to the makeup trailer, I searched around for the fridge. Once I caught sight of it, I shoved the cone inside I wished for the best. I was a pretty bad assistant, but in my defense, it's my second day.

"See ya Y/N," Blake called out, as I started to leave.

"Um, bye."

I stumbled out of the trailer, not sure what had just happened. Why did everyone seem to know me? I couldn't tell if I made a bad impression of myself, or I had just been seen running around all the time.

"I didn't know you were a UN Environment Goodwill Ambassador," a voice said behind me, "I've never seen you at any of the meetings."

My eyes narrowed when I realized who it was. Of all places, at all times, he had to magically be standing there. I turned around, a sheepish look on my face.

"I'm really sorry, I was cold," I exclaimed, "it was sitting right there, and I thought I could get it back to you really quickly."

Aidan laughed, and shoved his hands in his uniform pockets. He didn't seem mad, but I was too worried to think he wasn't. Why did I take the stupid sweater....?

"It's fine, you can borrow it," he said, "it looks cute on you."
