Y/N's p.o.v
I smiled as Percy was trying to get Nico into the ocean. I couldn't hear anything but I saw Percy pulling Nico's arm and Nico desperately trying to get away.

I splashed some water towards Percy so I can get his attention, since I couldn't talk either. Percy turned around and said something. It looked like he said, what.

Just let Nico be, don't force him to come in here if he doesn't want to, I said in sign language. After I came to camp, most people learned sign language. Percy understood and let go of Nico.

Thanks Y/n, Nico told me. I smiled and nodded. I got out of the ocean and sat next to Nico.

NICO's POV
I was grateful that Y/n didn't make me go into the water. The last couple of months have been something with Y/n around. She would usually hang out with me. I felt special, in a good way. It was an unusual feeling that i don't get often.

"Hey (Y/n)..." I said aloud, knowing she can't hear me. I looked at the ocean, seeing Percy mess around with dolphins or whatever animal is in the ocean. I don't know ocean..."These past months have been something ... You've made me feel something that I don't know how to explain. You're so clever, brave, and cute. Well i mean, there's so much more to you. You're like some rare flower that's so beautiful, but so hard to learn about" I stopped. I sighed, nothing i said made sense. Luckily, although not really, (Y/n) couldn't hear anything. She was just staring at the ocean, smiling as the breeze pulled her hair back.

I laid my head on my knees and took a deep breath. I suddenly felt a someone gently place something on my shoulder. I slowly lifted my head to find that (Y/n) was resting her head on my shoulder. She looked up at me and smiled. I blushed and looked away.

She poked my cheek.

I looked at her and she stuck out her tongue. "Do you wanna fight ?" I raised an eyebrow. I started to tickle her and she ran away silently, but smiling. I chased her around for a bit. She then was clever enough to go into the ocean again. Her shorts getting wet again as she splashed around. I sat down in defeat, and she came to sit next to me once again. She tugged on my shirt. I turned to look at her, ready to say if she wanted to go again. Instead I was met with a pair of lips softly touching mine.

Y/N's POV
Nico...

Nico was well... Nico

The italian emo boy who everybody has gotten annoyed with at some point because Nico is Nico.

I loved him for being like that.

Sure he does dumb things at times and makes me worry at times, but he seems to really care about me. He put a lot of effort to try to communicate with me, of course everyone did, but Nico seemed to seem the most concerned with it. I loved him as a friend and now i love him as more than just that.

Hell, a boyfriend is like your best best friend that you can sometimes kiss on the lips right?

After I kissed Nico, Nico looked at me in surprised. I looked down for a bit and then told him,

I love you, sorry if you don't feel the same.

He responded with,

You wanna fight mate?

he then shook his head,
fuck, i'm still stuck in the past
yes of course i feel the same. I love you. Look take this as an acceptance of my love.

He made a skeleton come out of the sand. He said something to it that i couldn't hear and then the skeleton started doing a silly dance.

I sighed and smiled to myself. Nico was being Nico again. I hugged him and kissed him again. I pulled away and told him again,

I love you Nico

he responded with,

I love you too, but i'll still fight you if you want
