Prologue

~Narrator's POV

Goth woke up with a loud banging on her bedroom door. Her mother ('cause if goth is a girl, why not Geno as well?) was on the other side, yelling at her to wake up.

"Goth, Reaper has to go to work and so have I! Wake up and come downstairs, breakfast's ready!" Geno sighed angrily before continuing.

"I'm gonna give you more 5 minutes before I break this door down and drag you out of bed! Do not test my patience!!!"

Goth groaned and opened her eyes(sockets?), the sun rays lighting up the room through the window. "Coming!.." She groggily answered, hoping Geno wouldn't break another door. Goth had experienced enough to know that was NOT gonna end well.

The young teenager waited 'till she heard her mother footsteps leaving, and sat straight in her bed, stretching her arms a bit, and getting ready for the first day of junior year.

She went to her closet, digging for a dark red shirt and a pair of random black jeans. Then she put on her old red boots and loved black cloak. Lastly, she put her red belts over the cloak, making an X with them.

(This is her "cloak". It's not exactly a cloak, but she was not gonna wear an actual cloak to school)

Before she got out of the room, she wrapped her comfy red scarf around her neck and picked up the school bag.

Downstairs, her parents were both in the kitchen, a heated argument between them. Not that Goth really cared.

Reaper and Geno argued a lot, but they would always apologise to eachother eventually (at their own way of course, never directly), besides, yelling was something really common in the household, so Goth didn't mind anymore.

She entered the kitchen and coughed up a little, getting her parents attetion.

"Huh.... Good morning mother. Good-" She was cut off by Reaper, a cup of his usual coffe at hands, an annoyed expression on his face.

"Finally you decided to get out of that room, took you long enough!" Reaper's low and demanding voice made her flinch slighty. Even if it didn't scare her as much as it used to when she was younger, it was still quite a scary tone to hear so early in the morning.

"Sorry father, I'll try not to do it again. Good-" She stopped, as the smell of eggs and bacon reached her nose(?). Her stomach(?) grumbled.

God, she was hungry...

Geno sighed, reaching to the oven, and scraping the eggs from a frying pan to a plate.

"Here. Eat, fast. We can't leave without you." She handed her daughter the plate, before turning around and disapearing somewhere else, probably getting her own things.

Goth immediately started eating, her hunger making her completely forget that she still hadn't properly greeted Reaper.

"Goth. Don't you have anything to say to your father?" he asked, calmly.

He didn't rase his voice in the slightest. Reaper always believed that there was no need to yell to be understood, feared, or respected. And since he was all that, it was rare the time he would yell. There was just no need to. Not like he needed to, he was already scary enough.

The smaller skeleton, in the other hand, froze in place. If there was something Goth knew about her father, was that he hated  being ignored. Well, both parents were like this but surprisingly, Reaper always took it worse. For him, greeting in the morning was kinda like a sign of affection and respect. If he did not get his greeting from his chidren, it was almost like he wasn't respected enough to get a simple Good Morning...

And Reaper obviously wouldn't like to know he wasn't respected by his children.

She slowly stopped eating, placing the fork Geno handed her in the plate, and placing the plate in the white-pearly(?) counter.

"Oh, yeah, sorry! Good morning father. Guess I was to hungry. I-I mean... Not t-that is an e-excuse, but..." She started stuttering at the last part, her voice getting more insecure by second. It was really scary to talk to Reaper sometimes. Now, you can say it was one of those times.

Reaper sighed, angrily. "Don't even try. It's pointless. Next time don't ignore the person right next to you, and when excusing yourself, do not stutter, makes you look even weaker." She limited to nod. "And now lets get going, Geno's probably waiting for us."

"Alright father."

Goth followed Reaper outside, a nervous smile on her face.

Geno was at the front door tapping with her foot on the floor, obviously impatient to get out of the house.

"Took you two long enough!" She said, clearly annoyed. "Let's go!"

She swung the door open and they all got out.

It was officially a new day for the (Fell!)Afterdeath family!

Goth waited to see Reaper sumoning a portal and Geno imediatly going trough, not bothering to say goodbye to her daugther. Reaper, in the other hand, turned to look at her and said "Goth, don't you dare forget the talk we had yesterday, do you hear me? We made a huge sacrifice to send you to school this year, so don't throw this chance, 'cause it's the last one we give you." And with this, he stepped in the portal and disapeared.

Goth sighed, looking at the empty space where once was Reaper's portal. She really couldn't mess up this year, it was indeed her last chance. Her last chance of a normal, teenage life.

"I will not throw away my chance." (I WILL NOT THROW AWAY MY SHOT!)

She turned around and started walking to school.

She was determined to make this year worth it.

She just couldn't predict what was gonna happen to her...

So...
SO...

I feel so happy :') I finally had the courage to publish something I wrote!!! Yay!

(I feel this was more of a chapter 1 than a prologue but who cares anyways)

Oki, so i just wanna warn in advance that english is not my first language and so if i give any errors in grammar or vocabulary dont hate me... :)

Also, (?) <-- these things is just a warning that I'm not sure if what I wrote is correct, or if it doesnt really make sense, but I wrote anyways...

And something about the story itself now, I dont intend to make Reaper and Geno horrible parents. Here, they're not gonna be abusive or super mean to poor Goth, they're just gonna be really strict and harsh on her when she does something wrong.

Oh, and if you think the way Goth speaks to them is weird, it's suposed to be, Reaper and Geno makes her speak this way. It's more respectful... (i dunno :p)

And.. yeah! I think thats all... i hope I said everything.

(this was a long description)

HAVE A GOOD DAY!  ^^(or night, thats when i write this)

Ok, bye :p
