Warning: Do not read if you hate every cop out there for no given reason. This does involve a cop.

Yeah. We actually called 9-1-1. Wait a second let me get to it.

So this was in 8th grade. We had these people coming from colleges to demonstrate what they did to the class to see if maybe we wanted to go into that field.  One day it was a computer guy, one day it was a nurse (almost made one of my friends pass out but that's a story for another time), and this day it was a police officer. Really nice woman. So we called 9-1-1 as a demonstration. The boy who was actually talking to the person on the phone sucked, by the way, and after it was explained that there was a certain way people who were handcuffed were cuffed I asked how.

What does this police officer do?

Make me go up in front of BOTH CLASSES and handcuffs my hands behind my back.

Like, excuse me, I asked how people were handcuffed. You give the rest of the class a visual but you make me look down and forward (sort of) and cuff my hands BEHIND MY BACK. I'm the one who asked for a demonstration and I didn't even get to see it.

It was kind of funny though because when she said I was under arrest and stuff the kids in my grade were like, "Now who would've thought Laura would be the first one of us to get arrested?"

Let me tell you. 

I didn't.

Then there was the demonstration on what would happen if you resist. The kid was so confused. She said, "Try to get away from me," so he was like, "Ok," and then she said, "Sir, I'm going to have to ask that you comply to arrest," so he was like, "Ok."

Then she had to stop him and tell him, "No. This is a demonstration of what would happen if you resisted arrest."

So he finally got it and pretended to resist arrest and blah blah blah. 

I hated that kid though so I thought it was funny.

And she never got rough like she would with an actual criminal, she made sure to be gentle with the fragile children (🙄) and answered all our questions about when it would be considered self defense and when it wouldn't because this one kid (happens to be my cousin) was going to court to figure out if the kid who punched him in the face and broke his nose was just defending himself or what. Blah blah blah.

Not sure if this is funny but I thought bits and pieces were so, yeah...
