~ 99 ~
Jiyeon looked up from her notebook at the sound of knocking at her door. She shoved away her design sketches, hiding them under the covers of her bed. "Come in," she called, feeling nervous.
She was surprised when Sunghoon opened the door and came in. He shut the door behind him and stood awkwardly in the middle of her room for a moment.
"Um... I wanted to see if you were alright," he finally said.
She frowned. "I don't really want to talk about it."
"Then just listen. I don't know what's going on between you and Heeseung, but I assume he's being an ass, right?"
She just nodded, not sure where this was going.
Sunghoon sighed. "It's probably not because he has anything against you personally. He just gets like that. He shoves down his emotions and whenever things feel out of control for him, he just becomes such a jerk. He's been like this for years. Trust me, I understand how it feels. To be friends with him one moment and enemies the next."
"I just wish he'd tell me," she whispered, playing with the covers on her bed. "I wish we could at least communicate like friends."
Sunghoon stared at the floor for a moment. "He has a girlfriend."
Her gaze snapped up to meet his. "What?"
"His mother doesn't approve. Not at all. She was working here, actually. Her room is right next to yours... Aera. His mother sent her away for a while and then brought you. That's probably why he's treating you so terribly. Of course it's no excuse but... I thought you should know. Sunoo and K probably didn't tell you because they want Heeseung to be the one to do that, but I know him better than they do. It may take years for him to admit it."
Jiyeon chewed on her bottom lip, considering. Then finally, she gathered her courage.
"Do you have Aera's number?"
