~ 86 ~

Heeseung was a mixture of many emotions. He was still sad and angry, and he missed Aera. But now those emotions were mixed with happiness and excitement.

Because he was finally doing it. They were finally going to debut.

And in a strange way, he could thank Jiyeon and his mother for that.

He bit back his smile, thinking about how angry his mother would be if she knew that she'd helped push up the date.

When Belift's CEO found out that Heeseung was engaged, and then saw the articles go out, he'd been furious. At least he had been at first. But when he saw all the positive attention it was receiving, he decided they better build off of that attention. He decided to debut them next month.

Now Heeseung was sitting on the floor in K's room. K was perched on the bed, and he seemed calm, as he was supposed to be. He had been named the leader, after all. Sunoo was pacing back and forth nervously.

"I'm sorry I gave you so much trouble before," Heeseung said after a moment, breaking the silence.

K gave him a half-smile, and when they met eyes Heeseung suddenly saw how scared he was too. "As long as you don't give me any trouble going forward," he teased.

"You're nervous too," Heeseung said, not really knowing what else to say.

"Of course I am," K said, glancing at Sunoo, who was still pacing back and forth. He seemed to be in his own world, but K grabbed his hand and pulled him to sit on the bed beside him. He patted the spot on his other side and when Heeseung joined, K wrapped his arms around the both of them.

"Let's not be too nervous," K told them. "We're ready. We've been working hard, and we'll work even harder this month. We're so ready, I promise you that. Let's be excited and enjoy ourselves while working hard, okay?"

Heeseung smiled, more excitement blossoming in his chest at K's words.

Even more so when he remembered something else.

Sunghoon was coming home.
