~ 67 ~

Aera exited the building with Sunoo, to find Sunghoon eagerly waiting for them by the entrance. As soon as he saw them, he linked his arms with theirs and started dragging them along.

"Why are you in such a good mood today?" Aera commented playfully. "It's kind of scaring me."

"Me too," Sunoo muttered, staring suspiciously at Sunghoon. "Is he alright?" Sunoo mock whispered to her. "Maybe he's sick or something."

"I can hear you," Sunghoon complained, stopping suddenly in the middle of the street. "Listen, I want to say sorry. To both of you. For not being as nice as I should have. Sunoo... we're going to debut together someday. I hope we can become genuine friends now. And Aera..."

Sunghoon trailed off, looking at her for a long moment, his eyes searching hers.

She swallowed and looked at the floor, suddenly feeling uncomfortable. "So, what were your plans for today?" she asked quickly, starting to walk again.

He grabbed her hand, turning her back around to face him. He gave her a small smile, though his eyes were sad. "I want to be friends with you too Aera. Really."

Aera smiled at him, nodding her head. "Let's do that," she said. "Now... where are you taking us?"

"To the ice skating rink, of course!" Sunghoon said cheerily, linking his arms with theirs again and starting to lead the way once more. She smiled, happy that he'd cheered up again. They walked the rest of the way to the rink in silence, but it was a happy, comfortable silence.

They were all just happy to be spending time together.

"Can we get hot chocolate too?" Sunoo asked after they'd put on their skates, and had been about to hit the ice.

"I think I'll get some after I skate for a bit," Aera told him. "Why don't you come skate first?"

He pouted cutely. "I want hot chocolate first," he muttered. "But I didn't bring money... Sunghoon...?"

Sunghoon sighed, reaching into his pocket and handing Sunoo his wallet. "Buy anything you want."

Sunoo brightened up, tackling Sunghoon in a hug. "Thanks! I'll pay you back when we get to the dorms!" he promised, already waddling over to the food stand.

"Let's go," Sunghoon said, stepping onto the ice effortlessly. She stepped foot onto the ice and... almost fell.

"Woah there," Sunghoon exclaimed, laughing at her. "Haven't you ever skated before?"

She sighed, glaring at him. "Do you think I've ever had time for things like skating? For doing things just for fun? No."

He laughed again. "Okay, well today you're going to have fun," he said, holding onto her arms and pulling her along. "Today I'm going to teach you to skate."
