"Surprise?" Aera said, trying to look excited as she stood in front of three very confused boys. 

"Why... what are you doing?" Sunoo asked, looking back and forth between her and suitcase. 

"I'm going to be staying here for a while," she said, forcing herself to keep a smile on her face, though it was getting more difficult with every passing moment. 

"But why?" Sunghoon asked. "What happened? Don't you have a-" 

"Shut up," Heeseung snapped, glaring at all of them. He grabbed her hand and started to pull her away, but K reached out and stopped them. 

"Why don't I show you to your room?" He said kindly. "And the rest of you, why don't you go prepare some food or something for Aera, hm?" 

She tapped her fingers on Heeseung's hand, and he let go of her. Aera smiled at him, hoping that she could convey what she felt without words. 

She was grateful to him, for being there for her in this moment, but his fiery emotions were not helping hers. Right now, she felt safer and calmer with K. 

And so she followed K through the hallways until he opened the door to a room. 

"We can decorate it how you'd like," K said, gesturing around. "It's kind of small, but-" 

"It's perfect," she told him. "A fresh coat of paint and it'll be perfect." 

"I'm glad," K said, taking the sheets off of the bed and gathering them in his arms. "I'll go wash these-" 

"You don't have to, I'll do it," she said, holding out her hands. 

He shook his head, gently pushing her hands away. "Something's wrong. You just rest."

Tears of gratitude filled her eyes. "Thank you," she whispered. 

"Do you want to talk about it?" 

Aera shook her head. "No. No, I'm okay. Really. Thank you. Just... can I be alone for a tiny bit?" 

He nodded, leaving the room and closing the door behind him. 

"Okay," she said to herself, taking a deep breath. "Unpack, shower, change... and then go to sleep."

"Everything will look better in the morning," she whispered, trying to convince herself.
