Heeseung's eyes widened in appreciation, watching the girl handle those men, and watching her walk out confidently.
She was unapologetically confident, and he was immediately interested in her.
"Looks like you'll have your work cut out for you," Sunghoon said, his eyes also following the girl as she left.
"It'll make it all the more satisfying when I succeed," Heeseung replied calmly, getting up. "Now if you'll excuse me," he continued, walking away. "I have other places to be," he said to himself, following her shadow out the door.
She was about to board her delivery bike.
"Excuse me!" he called out, rushing over to her.
The girl looked at him in annoyance, her eyes prepared for a fight.
Clearly flirting wasn't going to work with her. Fine. He'd have to try other means.
"I lost my phone," he muttered, feigning nervousness. "Could I borrow yours for a second?"
She looked him up and down. "Why don't you borrow someone else's phone?" she asked, getting onto her bike.
"It's my first time at the club," he lied. "I don't feel comfortable asking anyone."
She raised her eyebrows at him. "It doesn't look like it's your first time here," she stated, looking at his outfit with distaste.
Heeseung sighed. "I have my reasons, okay? Can I just call my friend to pick me up? Here," he said, taking out his wallet when she looked like she was getting ready to bike away. He placed it in her hand. "You hold onto this while I'm using your phone. That way you know I won't run away."
She hesitated for a second, opening his wallet and seeing if he actually had anything inside of it. Her expression never moved away from stormy, scary.
After a moment of neither of them moving or saying anything, she took out her phone and handed it to him.
"You have one minute," she told him firmly.
Heeseung winked at her. "Yes ma'am."
She scoffed, rolling her eyes at him. "Hurry up. You just lost ten seconds," she said, leaning forward and putting in her passcode.
He dialed a number.
In his pocket, his phone rang.
Heeseung smirked, handing her phone back to her and holding up his own. "I found it," he said innocently.
She tilted her head, glaring at him. "Why were you wasting my time?"
"It wasn't a waste of time," he said, turning around and walking away. He held up his phone triumphantly. "I got your number," he called out to her.
