~ 24 ~

The next day after school, Aera couldn't find Heeseung.

She ran around the whole school looking for him, but he was nowhere to be seen.

"Heeseung, you idiot," she muttered, closing her eyes and leaning against a wall. "Where are you?"

"Why are you looking for him?" Sunghoon whispered.

She opened her eyes, smiling as she watched him approach. "Because I have to get him to practice, obviously."

"You have to get me there too."

"You promised me earlier," she said teasingly, waving a finger at him. "You better not break your promise."

But saying those words reminded her of earlier. They reminded her of Heeseung.

And her heart shattered.

He'd been with another girl. He'd completely ignored her the whole day. Since he sits next to her, he usually would talk to her, or annoy her in class.

Nothing.

She hadn't really realized that she'd enjoyed his company until now.

She hadn't realized that she'd been falling for him.

But this is good, she thought to herself firmly. You needed a wake-up call. He's a player, and he always will be. It's better now that you realize that before it's too late

They weren't even dating, and she'd known that all along...

But it still hurt.

Taking a deep breath and attempting to hide her emotions, she turned her attention back to Sunghoon.

"Do you have any idea where he is?"

"He's with another girl," Sunghoon warned.

"I don't care," she snapped, more defensively than she should have. "I didn't like him anyway," she said, trying to convince herself more than Sunghoon. "And we weren't dating."

He raised an eyebrow. "Sounds convincing."

She sighed, crossing her arms. "Just tell me where he is, please?"

"Probably at the club," Sunghoon said, smirking. "You know, where you two first met?"
