~ 101 ~
Jiyeon sat on her bed, working on some sketches. This was what she wished she could do. Maybe it was a selfish thought, considering how hard her parents had worked to make the company successful for her to take over, but she didn't want to be a businesswoman. She'd much rather be a designer.
"May I come in?"
She looked up, a smile coming to her face as she saw K standing in her doorway. "That's a silly question. Of course you may," she said, waving him over and patting the spot next to her.
He hopped up to sit on the bed beside her, his eyes widening as he took in the many papers of sketches scattered around her. "Wow," he said, picking up on of the stray papers. "Jiyeon... these are fantastic."
"You really think so?" she said nervously, peering over his shoulder to see which one he'd picked up. It was a short blazer dress, paired with black heels and gold jewelry. It was one that she hadn't been sure she'd liked.
"I really do," he said honestly. "Damn, you could design our clothes. For our debut and stuff."
Jiyeon laughed. "I wish," she said. "You know, you're the first person to see my sketches."
"For real? I'm honored."
"Not to be rude... but was there a specific reason you came?" she asked tentatively.
"I just wanted to check on you. See if you were alright and all."
She sighed. "I'm fine."
K raised his eyebrows at her. "You're fine. Sounds real convincing to me."
Jiyeon huffed, crossing her arms in front of her chest. "I'm trying. I don't want to care about how he treats me anymore. I'm just going to ignore him. Maybe I'm entering my reputation era."
K laughed. "It's hard not to care. I get it. But I think staying away from him might be best. He's been such an awful mood lately."
"I heard about Aera. Why didn't you tell me?"
He frowned at the floor. "I wanted to," he said after a moment. "I didn't want to see you get hurt. But at the end of the day, I felt that this issue was between you and Heeseung. I thought he should be the one to tell you. I really thought he would. I'm sorry. That was stupid of me and it only resulted in you getting hurt."
She shook her head. "You have nothing to apologize for. Heeseung was the one who hurt me, not you. And I can respect that, you know? He should have been the one to tell me. I shouldn't have had to find out from someone else. But, I guess that's not how Heeseung works, hm?" she said, shrugging. "I'm really okay now. I promise."
"I'm glad," he said, smiling at her. "I was worried about you. Especially after the incident with the fans."
"Oh please," she sighed. "Don't mention that. I'm never stepping outside again."
"You're going to live the rest of your life out in this room?" K teased.
"For the time being, yes," she responded, making him laugh. She put a hand on her hip and pretended to glare at him. "You think I'm kidding, don't you? But I am 100% serious."
"Sadly, I think you are. I haven't seen you come out for days."
Jiyeon frowned. "I didn't want to run into Heeseung."
"Yeah, but the rest of us miss you. Forget about Heeseung's stupid ass and come be friends with the rest of us."
She laughed. "I think about it. Depending on how brave I'm feeling."
"Come with me," he said, hopping off of the bed. "I have a surprise for you."
