💜~ Love, Sunset ~💜
A/N: Hi, the long-awaited companion fic is here, and I'm so excited! I've never done something like this before, so it's going to be interesting, to say the least! I highly recommend reading at least a few chapters of "The Faded Star" & "More Than Fate" before continuing this one, if you haven't already. Otherwise, you'll be a bit lost, not having context from the stories or being familiar with my OCs (original characters). If that doesn't interest you, then this fic isn't for you. Votes & comments are welcome, just keep them respectful. Without further ado, enjoy "My Forever & Always".
Dedicated to you, my lovely readers, my OCs, and every soul, real & fictional, who has ever dared to dream.
Ellie's POV
"So, like I was saying to Al-," I cut myself off at the sound of gentle knocking on the door. "Come in!"
The door opened and Esme walked in with an apologetic smile on her face, "Sorry to interrupt, girls. You have a visitor waiting downstairs."
"Oh? Did you recognize them?" Maisie asked, tilting her head to the side.
"No, but they seemed to know both of you, and they're very sweet. They gave me this note," she explained, handing her a small piece of paper.
I scooted closer to read it over her shoulder: "Maisie and Ellie, I've sent along a friend of mine to hang out with you in person. They've enjoyed your stories and wanted to know you better, so I invited them on this adventure. Please treat them as nicely as you treat me, and have fun! ~ Love, Sunset."
"Yeah, that's her writing alright," Maisie smiled, gently tracing her finger over the little dahlia sketch at the bottom of the note.
"Wait, so Sunset's friend just showed up out of nowhere? No car, or bike, or anything?" I questioned, looking up at Esme.
"Not exactly, they appeared like Maisie's spirit friends do, in a flash of light, and Alice had a vision of their arrival," she replied, shaking her head slightly.
"And they aren't ghosts like the guys?" Maisie asked, adjusting her hair tie.
"No, they're alive, I could hear their heartbeat. Though they were as excited as Reggie," she chuckled, smiling fondly at the thought of the bassist.
"Well, now I have to meet them! C'mon, Ellie, let's go!" Maisie grinned, pulling me to my feet and out of the room with a quick wave to Esme, not releasing my hand until we reached the bottom of the stairs.
I rubbed my arm, "Maybe take it down a few notches next time, Kenzie."
"Aww, but what would the fun in that be?" she quipped, a teasing smirk playing on her lips.
An insistent ringing sound filled the air and Maisie pulled her phone out of her jacket pocket, showing me the caller ID: "Juliebean💜🎹".
"Do you want me to wait, maybe Em and I could start a Mario Kart match with them?" I suggested.
"No, it's alright, just go keep them company and I'll catch up later," she waved off. "See you later, Ellie," she said, pulling me into a hug.
I gladly returned it, "I love you, I'll see you later, Blue."
"I love you too," she smiled with a wave, heading out the door as she answered her phone, "Yeah, Jules, I'm here."
Turning around and following the sounds of talking, I walked into the living room, finding Em, Ally, and a new face, who had to be Sunset's friend, chatting on the couch.
"Hey guys, you don't mind if I borrow your new friend, do you?" I asked as Ally skipped over to me, tucking a rose in my hair.
"Of course not," she replied, a knowing twinkle in her eyes. No surprise there.
"I guess it's alright, if you have to," Emmett added, a smirk spread across his features.
"Have her home by midnight," Ally added, getting a salute and a snicker, respectively, from our friends on the couch.
"Laugh all you want, Em. I'm still going to beat you on Rainbow Road later," I smirked, snagging a pillow from the couch and throwing it in his direction, only earning more chuckles from him as he caught it with ease.
"Have fun!" Ally called from the porch. Our ride was waiting in the driveway, highlighted by the dwindling sunlight.
"Your wish is my command," I grinned at her as I led my new friend to my motorcycle, climbing on, buckling my helmet, and handing them one when they got on behind me.
The open road in front of us was full of possibilities and stories waiting to be told. There was no time like the present to explore them.
"Are you ready?" I asked, and smiling at their response, I turned the key, the engine started, and the headlight ignited. "Alright, hold on tight," I replied. "Here we go."
A/N: So, that was the first chapter! What do you think so far? I know I probably sound like a broken record, but I am so, so excited to continue this! I'm sure to no one's surprise, I had to start this with our sweet leading girls, Mackenzie Mercer and Mackenzie "Ellie" Forge!💖💜💖
Thank you so much for reading, I hope you enjoyed it, and stay tuned for future chapters of this & my other stories! Have an amazing day/night, and I'll see you in the next one! ~Love, Sunset💜🦋
