People looked at the person sitting in a corner by himself, they had the feeling to keep clear of him. That person was Y/N, he was on his way to Beacon Academy not because Ozpin asked. He only is going to help innocent people, Y/N doesn't have the slightest interest to become a huntsman.

That is something Y/N wants to keep a secret if he were to have befriended people who want to know what reason he is there. He already went through vigorous training to get where he is today. It was tough enough to be the one be chosen as the next successor to Hokuto Shinken.

The bullhead was getting closer to Beacon, things seemed calm until Y/N opened his eyes to see someone vomiting. The person was a blonde male, he vomited on someone's shoes. Once the shuttle landed at Beacon everyone slowly got off.

Y/N was walking off the shuttle and the same blonde guy ran past him to a trash can to barf. On the way to the building, he heard an explosion behind him, so he only turned around to see a girl wearing a red cloak getting scolded by the heiress Weiss Schnee.

Y/N walked over there to stop her from being yelled out by that Schnee girl. He saw a girl with a black bow on her head assisting the girl out but Y/N still wanted to help out.

"I'm pretty what she did was an accident, carrying all that dust is really dangerous anyways. Due to your negligence, you've allowed this to happen, Weiss Schnee." Y/N spoke in the usual gruff tone he had.

"What...?! How dare you.....?! The nerve of you two!" Weiss obviously didn't have a come back so she just scoffs, then she snatches the dust from the girl with the black bow and walks off.

"I promise I'll make this up to you!" The girl in red cloak yelled out to Weiss.

Y/N saw that girl walk off leaving him with the girl with the red cloak. But Y/N didn't have time to stick around. So he walks off while the girl looked at both of them leaving.

The martial artist made his way to the entrance ceremony, he made his way to spot to stand and watch the ceremony. While standing there watching what was going on he crossed his arms when that same blond-haired guy was standing next to him.

"Motion sickness huh?" Y/N tried to start a conversation.

"Yeah, motion sickness is a more common problem than people let it on to be!" He looked like he was glad that I knew what his problem was.

"Yes, but we all have our flaws, some flaws can be used to make us stronger."

"You sound like you know your stuff."

"If you only knew."

"By the way, the names Jaune Arc! Short, sweet, rolls off the tongue, ladies love it!"

"Y/N."

They both see Ozpin on the stage, Y/N looks at him with a look that he would normally give enemies because they were killed. There was something about Ozpin that Y/N didn't like, but he made it unknown that he doesn't trust him.

"Ahem... I'll... keep this... brief..."

Something was wrong with his tone as if he was troubled by something. It seems like he wasn't himself.

"You have traveled here today in search of knowledge. To hone your craft and acquire new skills. And when you have finished, you plan to dedicate your life to the protection of the people. But I look amongst you and all I see is wasted energy, in need of purpose, direction. You assume knowledge will free you of this, but your time at this school will prove that knowledge can only carry you so far. It is up to you to take the first step."

Ozpin walks away from the microphone, but something definitely was off. Everyone in the crowd felt a little confused about this. Then Glynda Goodwitch walks up to the microphone to give her info.

"You will gather in the ballroom tonight. Tomorrow your initiation begins. Be ready. You are dismissed!"

People were now exiting the area while Y/N just looked at both Ozpin and Ms. Goodwitch leave, he had a hunch they knew something that the students don't know.

"Initiation tomorrow, that sounds like something to prepare for. Oh man, why do I have a bad feeling about this?" Jaune whined. He was rather nervous about hearing the announcement.

"Considering this school requires teams, you'll do just fine out there if you're not confident in yourself. We all start off small in life."

"I hope so..."

"Just try to end up on a team of people you can rely on, you'll be fine."

"That's easier said than done."

Jaune leaves the room, while Y/N just thought to himself before he even decided to move on.

"Obviously, he is keeping everyone in the dark. I want to know why he wants me here even though, I don't want to be a huntsman. That is something I'll have to find out." Y/N left the area along with everyone else.

Everyone was gathered in the ballroom with their sleeping bags, I had nothing to sleep on nor some pajamas to wear. Rather I just took off my red t-shirt only wearing a white tank top with jeans, then I folded it up to wear for tomorrow.

I noticed that girl who wore the red cloak except she was now in some pajamas. There was someone with her, a blonde-haired girl with lilac eyes. I also noticed that girl with the black bow sitting by herself reading some book, then I see Jaune walking around the ballroom.

Deciding it would be nice to get some shut-eye, I lay on the ground and close my eyes to fall asleep. But my slumber wasn't a very long one, I hear footsteps coming my way. I open my eyes to see the two girls walking over to me, it seems like they want to greet me.

"Hello! I believe you and my sister have met." The blonde-haired girl spoke to me in a very peppy tone.

"Well, I did help her out against Weiss Schnee. So yeah I met your sister."

I slowly got up from the ground, then my attention turns to both of them.

"I've never gotten the chance to thank you since you walked off. Uh... My name is Ruby Rose." Ruby extends her hand out for me to shake to which I do.

It was obvious that Ruby wasn't really a social person judging by how awkward the conversation has started.

"Nice to meet you Ruby, my name is Y/N. That was some explosion that happened earlier today."

"I didn't mean for that to happen, that's gonna stick with me isn't it?" Ruby looked down in embarrassment.

"It probably will disappear in due time, that seemed like an accident, you know accidents happen. Who are you?" I looked at the blonde.

"Well handsome~ I'm Yang. Ruby's older sister!" Yang had a rather flirtatious tone, but by the way it was, it could be a way to get a rise out of me.

"So what do you two need? It is rather late at the moment." I sat back down on the ground.

"Just trying to make my sister some new friends. She is socially awkward." Yang obviously was teasing her younger sister.

"Yang!" Ruby pushed Yang due to being embarrassed by her.

"If you want to be my friend, I guess we could be friends. But you two are sisters but look nothing alike, which tells me you could be half-siblings?"

"Yep! It was nice meeting you, we'll let you get back to sleep!" Ruby waved bye to me and I waved back.

Both Ruby and Yang left, so I laid back down on the ground to go back to sleep, it's been a while since I've had a decent sleep. But that's the price I pay becoming the heir to Hokuto Shinken. And as the successor someday I'll have to teach others it, until another is chosen.

Quick Note

So now that this chapter is done, I'll be reworking chapters later when I get further in the story. Also, I've gotten up to volume 3, so that's something. I know this chapter was mostly about the reader, it will not be like that all the time. Since Hokuto Shinken is one of the deadly martial arts, I think the reader could be a one-man team but if you want to join a team or not let me know.
