The journey didn't take as long as expected and before we knew it we were already there. I was really happy because I got road sick often.

We got off the bus everyone talking excited. A few other students were there already. As I took my suitcases I heard a voice giggle " the one in blue is way cuter, you can definately see his abs through his T shirt "

Really already?!

We all waited for our turns in taking the speed boat to the main camp which was on an island. Meanwhile people were getting to know each other. I sat on my own obviously being ignored by millie and jakeass okay you have gotta gimme credit for that one with my headphones on nodding to some random music.

Finally we were on the boat. By this time my ears hurt from listening to loud music so I turned off the music but kept the ear phones on. Yeah Yeah my sad attempt to avoid a conversation with any of the weirdos beside me.

Everything was going fine as we almost reached the island and I noticed a pair of eyes on me. " I lld just ignore him" I murmur to myself and I did just that. The boat jerked backwards and we locked eyes. I was tempted to divert my eyes almost immediately but that would give him the wrong signal so I held his gaze cocking an eyebrow for more effect as if to say ' what are you looking at you dimwit'.

He flashed me a toothy grin revealing a set of disarranged dentition barely held together by the braces he had on.

Either this guy's dentist never graduated from college or his teeth are just impossible.

I kept my face blank hoping he would take a hint and stop bothering me. He didn't though instead he smiled more widely. I scrunched off my face in disgust at the boy in spectacles

Pity though he would have classified as geeky cute if only he had kept that smile to himself. It wasnt something to be proud of anyway

Okay so that was kinda rude. Well that was me in bitchmode

We all got off the boat and trooped into the camp. I stopped surveying my surroundings and I actually smiled. It was perfect totally surrounded by water and had beach sand.

We were shown to our rooms mireal and I was grouped with three other girls who happened to be from the same school Linda, lily and Lisa

Weird right?!

Lily and Lisa were nice yeah I could say that . But Linda, something tells me we wouldn't really get along. I had my plans to ignore her to avoid any unwanted attention.

We walked together though and we all gathered into the hall provided for all indoor activities. We registered ourselves and we were given dinner table numbers. We sat at our tables getting to know one another

Typical camp setting

" may I have your attention please " a supervisor announced and everywhere became suddenly quiet. " as a camp tradition every year we pick a student to join we supervisors " an applause sounded.

" we pick a different student official for everyday " he continues after the applause had died down." this student is the head of the rest of the student body for that day and he or she reports the summary of the activities of each day". He rambles on about things I am sure aren't necessary.

" this is gonna be sooooo fun" mireal says poking me at my side making me squirm a little.

Oh soo I am suddenly visible.

I ignore her. Keeping my face blank and looking straight ahead at the supervisors in front who was still analysing things for our stay

"miranda? " she sounds confused

I smirk inwardly

" are you ignoring me?? " her hazel green eyes dilating

" what? No I am just waiting for you to stop flirting with mr whats his face James? Jude? Oh yeah I remember Jake " I deadpan

She smiles" someone is jealous "

" you wish" I say seethingly

"Okay I 'm sorry but unlike you I am trynna secure my future " she shrugs smiling

I ignore her

" you know you love me " she winks suggestively

" Okay eeeew " I roll my eyes at her

" miss Miranda Ryder?? "

Shocked to hear my name I look up quickly obviously quite confused.

What the heck is going on??

" would you come up here please " the supervisor says smiling at me.

All of a sudden I hear an applause. I glance quickly at Millie and she looks just as confused as I am.

As I walk up to the supervisor up front I hear a girl say " so she's the first student supervisor? "

That's when it dawns on me. I summon up courage and walk faster as I was about reaching I trip and fall flat on my face

Way to go. I cant really do things like this without somehow embarrassing myself. One major reason I lld always keep out of public activities.

I quickly get up earning a weird look from the girls around me.

" are you nervous ? " another surpervisor asked looking concerned

" no not really " I managed a smile

" could you introduce yourself properly " a brunette who I assumed was also a supervisor said.

" hi guys" I say trying to keep my voice from shaking " 'm Miranda Ryder, my friends call me manda for short and I lld be happy to be the first student official for our camp" I heard people clapping.

I guessed that most of it would come from my school obviously happy that we were given the honour.

The rest of the evening passed uneventfully and we were allowed to move around. I was walking with mireal when I noticed the spectacles boy closely behind me. Mireal noticed too so we stopped walking and turned to face the boy.

" is there a reason why you are following us? " Millie asked

" I - er - am" he stuttered

" awwn he's sooooo cute" she beamed

She's kidding right

He flashed his smile and she squirmed " not really anymore" and practically ran off

" Hey am Daniel" he says falling into step beside me

"hy" 'm trying to sound really nice

M sure he knows my name already

" yeah I do its manda right " he grinned widely and I realise I said that aloud

He should really stop doing that, makes me wanna puke

" so I gotta go nice meeting you though" I say hurriedly entering my room. He looked somewhat hurt but smiled and said a quiet goodnight. I nodded my response and shut the door.

So much for a good feeling about camp.

The next morning was anything but good. Well at least I didn't think so. We were rudely woken up by around 6am and forced to do some exercise with myself being in the front of the whole situation. It took all I had not to trip so many times Oh thank you whoever designed sneakers.

It all ended with we all being divided into groups and statistics were taken. We were also told the activities of the day and sent off for breakfast.

As we made our way to the hall where breakfast was held, random people talked to me. I didn't have to force a smile it was all good and they were really friendly.

While we waited for breakfast, everyone chatted in groups. I was not particularly in the mood for any talk at this point so I plugged in my ear phones and scanned the room for mireal. I spot her quickly and of course she's with Jake apparently their relationship was progressing faster than Taylor swift finding love.

" Hey " I look up from my phone and see a dark haired boy smiling at me. I take a quick scan of the hall trynna make sure I wasn't a victim of some prank and this guy the perpetrator.

" Er- hi? "I say after am sure.

Did I just stutter? Probably not must be the heat in this place

" you haven't made an attempt to make friends with your team mates and your the student supervisor" he says giving me this bad boy kinda smile. I look at him blankly.

" come say hi to my friends" he says throwing a hand over my shoulder like we have been friends for years.

Who's this boy and where did he get this confidence from?

And what the fuck is wrong with my legs?

I dont say anything though and quietly follow him.

" hello" smiles a tall blonde way taller than the dark haired one beside me. " am Tobby" he continues

He looks like he's really dumb

" miranda " I say in a quite voice and he gives me a smile.

" your from lord's high right? " the dark haired boy pipes in.

" yeah you? " I asked smiling a little

" Morrison high " he said. I heard a lot about that school. Its mainly for stuck up snobby rich kids whose parents have too much money for their own good.

He doesn't look like snob though

Breakfast was ready and we walked to our table.

" I ll definitely see you later" he says smirking and joining his friends.

I roll my eyes " yeah sure" I reply and slip into a sit beside mireal.

" who's the hottie? " she's cocking an eyebrow.

" nobody " I reply already munching my pancakes

I actually don't know his name

" come on" she groans " so what did he say".

" he ll see me later " I shrug adding syrup " can I eat in peace please? ".

She pouts " yes mom".

I smile at this. She is such a baby.

We were allowed to freshen up and rest a bit before gathering for the day 's activities . I took a long shower which kept mireal screaming for eternity. I finish up and put on a pink crop top and jeans which hung tightly to my legs showing my curves.

I tie my hair into a messy bun and apply mascara and lip gloss. I look good my mum would be so proud of me right now.

" Oh shit ! " I say quicky reaching for my phone.

" language" lisa says as she's curling her hair with a curler.

I blush and quickly send a text to my mum telling her how am okay and having so much fun already and hope they are alright.

" so " lily says as am putting on my hoop ear rings. " I saw you talking to that guy ".

" yeah she's totally in to him " mireal says coming out of the bathroom and I shoot her a look.

" I am not. She's probably high on something " I say shrugging.

" well you better not be cos that's Linda's crush and she gets really upset if any girl so much looks at him twice " Lisa says without a smile.

" one time, this girl at school called Clara was seen giving him an invite to a party she was holding that weekend. When news got to Linda she cut the girl's hair and put it in her lunch bag " lily says fiddling with her hands

Wow! arrogant much?

" babe never showed up to school again" Lisa continues for her.

I look to see mireal her jaw almost reaching the floor.

" that's so mean " she says reaching for her red hair instantly. The look on her face is totally picture worthy.

" I am pretty sure all that wont be happening " I say slipping my pink shoes on. " besides we might never even talk again ".

The bell rang and we all rushed out putting finishing touches to our make up. If you consider lip gloss make up.

" y'all already know your groups. Now for every activity held every group scores points and at the end of each day we get the group with the highest point. They also stand a chance of winning a price at the end of the camp " Jordan a really cute supervisor explained.

" come on am sure you can do it " the dark haired boy said.

Shit! I still didn't know his name. Not that it really mattered anyway.

" no way " I cross my arms over my chest and pout. Five minutes after Jordan walked away and we were arguing on who would volunteer for the first activity for our group. Apparently no one was ready and my group all thought it was a good idea for me to go first.

" it just a game come on Miranda " a chubby brunette says and I roll my eyes.

I was being told to complete an obstacle course picking different items with blindfolds on while my team mates shout out directions to me.

These guys dont know am not good with balance and with blindfolds on its like sponge bob getting a drivers license.

Yeah impossible

" Group one I need you out here right now or your disqualified " Jordan shouts and everyone gives me a pleading look.

" fine " I mutter making everyone squeal. " if I mess up though its so not my fault ".

" dont worry you wont " he says giving me a smirk.

My heart beats a little faster

Jordan hands him a blindfold and he straps them on me.

" I cant breathe" i am almost suffocating.

Didn't his mum teach him how to tie a blindfold?

"sorry " he mutters adjusting it. I can feel his breath on my face

Mint. I like mint

I shake my head slightly in an attempt to get the thought out of my head.

" you really shouldnt do that " he says. " seeing that we will get to it anyway". I can feel he's smirking as he says this

I take a step backward flippling him the bird and mouthing a 'FUCK YOU'. I hear lots of laughter and I smile inwardly

" blindfolded but still got attitude " someone says

I roll my eyes

" hot and sassy, I like! " this voice I know but cant really place the owner .

Minutes later everyone is shouting out instructions to me along side the other groups and its really confusing. I manage to keep my balance through out the whole game which is a miracle. After about twenty minutes of screaming, we end up wining and everyone is happy. Mireal hugs me tightly as I grin widely blindfolds still on. We make our way towards our next activity spot. I have a sudden liking for Blindfolds.

So this chapter was kinda boring I think, but its really needed cos this is a very important plot in this book.
I hope it gets better though and I know I suck at punctuation and stuff but bear with me.

Dark haired boy : * rolls eyes smirking * we all know she ends up with the good looking guy with mint breath and great dentition

Manda : I dont believe in love * turns to author * am I really supposed to end up with this nameless dude here?

Author : *shrugges * I gu-

Dark haired boy : *rudely interrupts* who said anything about love. We would just be *cough* *cough*

Manda : *eyes dialating * asshole. Am actually saving myself for someone who doesn't have a neeedle dick #fact

*other characters laugh*
