My first story

Jim was bored. Very bored. He sat there, staring into outer space, as the history teacher baffled on and on. Goodness, there was probably no other teacher in the world like Mr. Brown. All he would do was just come into class and start talking and talking about ancient vikings, warriors, priests, kings, princes, dukes and who knows what else for the entire class,  the minutes ticking by ever so slowly.

Jim was even starting to feel a bit depressed. It was only the first school term, so he would have to cope with Mr. Brown for the rest of the year. But no, he couldn't. He just couldn't, so he stood up abruptly.

"Could you actually just shut up!" he screamed.

Five minutes later, he was walking down the school corridors, with a stern look on his face. Stupid Mr. Brown had expelled him from class. Straight to the headmaster's office. At least he was the only boy in the class that had the balls to say something like that to a teacher. It gave him a slightly good feeling.

He finally arrived at the headmaster's office, so he knocked on the door. There was no awnser, so he opened it and peeked inside. There was no-one there.

"Oh, great, now what?" he asked himself.

He then quickly gave a look around a few of the other rooms. A visitor's room, one with medical equipment, detention class,... but they were all empty. There was no-one in sight. He suddenly spotted the teachers' room, where they would ocasionally have meetings and other activities.

"Aha!" he said "there has to be someone in there".

He walked over and looked trough the little glass window in the door... and almost fainted. He backed his head away quickly and leaned against the wall. Had he just seen what he had thought he had seen? No, it couldn't be, he must've been day-dreaming. He rubbed his eyes and then cautiously looked again.

And there it was once more. There were live beings in there. But not people. Animals. Animals. There was a giant wooden round table in the middle of the room, with seats round it. And in those seats, he saw a wolf, a leopard, a hyena, a snake, a monkey, and even a small zebra standing in the corner. There must have been at least a dozen animals in total, most of them sitting around the wooden table.

But the worst part was that the animals were talking! He couldn't make out the words but he was sure they were speaking english. All of this was just too much for poor Jim. He was about to turn and run away when he suddenly heard a deep voice behind him.

"Hey!" said the voice.

Wait, Jim recognised that voice. It was Mr. Brown! He spun around, now happy that Mr. Brown was there, to help him out of this horrible nightmare.

But when Jim saw him, he faced the horrible reality. It was a bear. Mr. Brown was a bear, standing on his hind legs, staring at him with dark eyes.

"Hello, Jim!" he said.

Then everything suddenly went black.
