After Maki destroyed Lyle's team of level 5 Wurmples and leveling up to level 8, I woke up Rantaro by throwing him in a battle and then went to rescue a scientist from an edgy pirate and his dog.

I got the exp share after that, which was REALLY useful since I got tired of switching in and out.

After beating up some 6 year olds, I went to Rustboro and got HM Cut. Then grinded a lot because Roxanne is scary-

Also, Gummy evolved into a Silcoon and learned Harden, which is probably one of the most annoying moves in the game tbh

I caught a Whismur on route 116 and named him Buddyman (don't ask-)

After defeating the trainers there, I went to battle the gym. Honestly it was really easy, since Rantaro knew Mega Drain.

He massacred the trainers, and got to Roxanne with thirst for blood.

She wasted her potion on her Geodude, which left her Nosepass vulnerable and killed in two Mega Drains.

Gummy and Rantaro both evolved after that

Beautifly looks really creepy if you stare at it for long enough tbh

Anyways, we got our first gym badge, and witnessed a chase scene when we stepped out the building, which is where I'll leave off this chapter
