Team Plasma is stealin' bones.

Lenora and her husband run to the museum and yell at Team Plasma.  Apparently, stealing this dragon skull is some step in pokemon liberation, but that doesn't make much sense.  Maybe it's just a statement, but I don't care enough to look into it very much.  So, after pretending to be pokemon, Team Plasma steals the skull and I have to chase after them.

This artist appears and has a casual chat with Lenora.  His name is Burgh, and he is the Castelia City Gym Leader.  He saw nothing, though, because Team Plasma grunts are masters of stealth.  Cheren and Bianca show up and are told to just stay at the museum.  I can see the plot is using them well.

Burgh and I head into Pinwheel Forest to track down Team Plasma.  BUT FIRST THESE TWO TODDLERS WANNA DOUBLE BATTLE ME!  SURE IT'S NOT LIKE I'M TRACKING DOWN AN EVIL ORGANIZATION BECAUSE THEY JUST ROBBED A MUSEUM!  YEAH SEND OUT YOU POKEMON THIS THE BEST TIME FOR THIS!  ONE OF THEM IS NAMED MAYO!  WHO NAMES THEIR KID MAYO????

Anyways, they posed no challenge.  Back to the story.  Time to fight team Plasma grunt #1.  I beat him with a single Leaf Tornado.  Time for Team Plasma Grunt #2.  I beat her with a single Leaf Tornado.  Oh hi, Youngster Nicolas.  Yeah, I'm just trying to catch a criminal, but I'm sure I have time to battle you.  Back to actually catching the criminals.  I gotta heal Gangrenous because freakin' Nicolas poisoned him.  Thanks a lot for that, bud.

Oh yeah, I get to fight a pokemon ranger because why would I turn down a battle to catch a criminal?  Alright, let's fight Team Plasma Grunt #3.  His Patrat went down in two hits.  Team Plasma Grunt #4 is next.  OH he has THREE pokemon!  Pills Hoh took out his first Patrat.  I switched to Borffy for his second one and took it out with no problem.  Next is his Sandile, which means Snakemoji has time to shine...again.  Yep...only took a single Leaf Tornado.  Maybe I trained too much for the battle with Lenora...

I got the skull back and Gorm appeared so he could scold the grunt.  He almost tried to battle me, but Burgh and Lenora showed up and scared him.  I give the skull back to Lenora, get a moonstone, and head towards Castelia City.  I get across Skyarrow Bridge and enter the city.  I head straight towards the desert and run into a Darumaka!  I catch him and name him Daruk.

I go into the gym, but Cheren blocks my path so he can flex his new badge on me.  I couldn't just sit there in take that!  Let's show him what we're made of!  Oh... nevermind... he just walked away.  HA!  He must fear me!  As he should be!  Well, Team Plasma is causing trouble, so I must wait before challenging the gym.

I meet Burgh, Bianca, and this girl named Iris on the pier.  Team Plasma has stolen Bianca's Munna and Iris is having absolutely none of it.   She's ready to throw hands with these grunts.  Speaking of which, a Team Plasma Grunt just walked towards us and then retreated.  Burgh and I will just follow her and take Bianca's Munna back!  Once we infiltrate their base, Burgh ask them to give Bianca's Munna back and Ghetsis says, "Deal."

Now it's time to take on the gym!  I can already tell that Daruk will carry the team through this gym.  Daruk made the trainers a breeze, so now it's time to deal with Burgh.  He sends out Whirlipede first.  This caused a bit of an issue since his Whirlipede didn't take a lot of damage from Daruk.  Borffy dealt some damage to  it and Pills Hoh finished it.  Next is Dwebble.  Snakemoji took it down with only two Leaf Tornados.  Lastly, is Leavanny.  Daruk missed his first hit and was brought to only 3 HP from a critical hit before defeating Leavanny with a single blow.  

And with that battle, we have earned the Insect Badge!
