"Hoba, you've been sitting there for half an hour now," Yoongi groaned, looking at the younger man. "Tell me what's wrong."

Hoseok, sitting with his legs crossed, wasted no time and threw himself onto the couch in in his hyung's studio with a loud sigh when the latter opened the door for him.

He had decided to see his best friend as soon as he woke up that morning, who is the producer. Yoongi was always the one Hoseok opened up to, sharing all his concerns. So, the PD knew something was off as soon as he saw dongsaeng's face.

"Hyung, I'm confused," Hoseok sighed, slowly shutting his eyes. "There are so many things stuck in my mind right now..." He paused, looking at Yoongi, who sat in his swiveling chair, listening intently.

"My father, on one hand, is urging me to marry a girl I don't even fucking know! And then there's my album, which I still haven't finished yet, and the preparation for the documentary on the other hand. And then there's Saera-"

"I'll stop you right there," Yoongi interrupted, sitting up in his comfy chair behind his large computers. "What does Saera have to do with all of this?" He asked, clearly interested in the topic.

Hoseok's eyes widened as he realized he had said too much. Fuck, what do I do know? He thought, panic setting in internally as he looked at his hyung, wanting to deny what he had just said about her.

"Too late, Hobi, spill all the tea now." Yoongi smirked, looking at his puppy widened eyes and moving to sit in front of the younger man on the couch. "I know something isn't right between you two. You knew her before, right?" Yoongi urged, trying to get Hoseok to open up.

"N-no-"

"Don't even try to deny it. The way you exploded in anger last time wasn't typical for you, Hobi. Please, tell me everything." Yoongi encouraged, gently pressing for more information.

The idol sighed, aware that he couldn't back out now. He sat up straight, facing Yoongi properly. "Yes, I knew her before this," he muttered, fidgeting with his fingers.

"I did something awful and broke her heart. I swear I didn't do it on purpose, hyung." The younger man looked up, his expression serious. "It just happened involuntarily, and she ended up being the victim, even though she didn't deserve it." Hoseok's gaze dropped to his lap.

"She was so naive back then and so timid," he began reminiscing about her personality. "She used to be with girls like her; she was so introverted and timid that she struggled to make new friends." He paused, squinting as if trying to remember well.

"You know what, hyung?" Hoseok exclaimed as if he had recalled something important. "We were in the same class for five years since the end of the middle school till the high school. Can you imagine that? There was a time she didn't have her old friends in the same class, and she felt so lonely during the first few months."

Yoongi listened attentively, noticing how animated Hoseok became as he talked about his school days. Maybe he liked her, Yoongi thought, tilting his head slightly, still focused on Hoseok.

He knew very well that once Hoseok began talking about something, he wouldn't stop anytime soon. Not that he disliked it; he appreciated these moments, cherishing the connection he had with the younger man. So, he settled back into his comfy couch, crossing his legs and pouring himself a glass of golden drink.

"Fortunately, some girls approached her, and she quickly became friends with them. That just shows how timid she was," Hoseok continued, a hint of sympathy in his voice as he remembered a younger version of Saera.

"And then there was him. I thought they had a serious argument back then, but it turns out they are still in touch." Hoseok placed his hand under his chin, lowering his voice while speaking about the other guy, clearly not fond of this part of his story.

"Ahh damn, I wish I hadn't been such a jerk back then," Hoseok groaned, burying his face in his hands.

"What happened exactly, Hobi? And who's this guy you're talking about?" Yoongi asked, eager to know what had left his best friend feeling so ashamed.

"I wasn't on good terms with him back then," Hoseok admitted, meeting Yoongi's gaze. "His name is Kim Nam-"

"Honey, are you-oh, sorry, sorry! I should have knocked first; clumsy me!" A beautiful young woman entered suddenly, interrupting the two men.

"It's okay, noona, come in." Hoseok grinned and stood to greet her. "How have you been, Chunga noona? It's been a long time!"

"I'm fine, but Hobi, I'm upset, you're acting like a spoiled rich artist with me," she replied, wrapping him in a friendly hug. "I bet you don't even remember my existence, huh?" Chunga pouted playfully as she pulled away from him.

Hoseok smiled, scratching the back of his neck in embarrassment. "Aniyo, noona, it's not like that. I've just been so engrossed in work lately with the tour and my upcoming activities. Sorry, noona..." he mumbled, glancing at her pouting, cute figure.

Jang Chunga, despite being young, was the executive marketing manager at BigHit and a close friend of all the bands the company managed. She was also Yoongi's girlfriend of four years.

"I'm joking, Hoba! Aish, look at your face!" The older woman laughed sweetly, gently hitting his shoulder. "Just promise me that I'll be the first to get your upcoming album," Chunga said mischievously, wiggling her eyebrows.

Hoseok turned to his hyung, who immediately looked away, avoiding his gaze. "Hyung," Hoseok groaned, placing his hands on his hips and giving him an accusatory stare.

"She found out on her own; I didn't say anything to her, Hobi!" Yoongi scoffed innocently, feeling Hoseok's burning gaze on him.

"Honey, I'm so offended! How dare you underestimate my skills, huh?" Chunga pretended to be angry as she sat on the couch next to Yoongi's chair, folding her arms. "And yeah, Hobi, I'm the marketing manager of this 'desperate company,' remember? It's totally normal for me to know about it right away." She added proudly,

"I also have my own ways to punish little betrayers like you and your hyung." She shot a dark gaze at her boyfriend.

"What a shame," Hoseok laughed, grabbing his coat and beanie. "Well, I'm going to leave you to deal with your punishment, hyung. Good luck!"

"You brat, come back here! We haven't finished!" Yoongi growled, but Hoseok was already at the door, opening it. "Another time, hyung! Bye, noona!"

"Bye, Hobi!" Chunga called, waving at his disappearing figure.

"What's wrong, Yoongi? Did I come at the wrong time?" Chunga asked her boyfriend, her voice laced with guilt.

"No, honey. I'm sure I can get the truth out of that little brat," Yoongi reassured her, smiling widely as he kissed her softly on both cheeks.

"You sure?"

"Yes! How about we go to my place? I don't have anything left for today, hmm?" Yoongi asked in a husky voice, wrapping his arms around her tiny body.

"Why not..."

Meanwhile, Hoseok was walking to the exit, eager to reach his home and work on his pending songs. That should help occupy my mind a little, he thought as he opened the door to his splendid blue car and started the engine after fastening his seatbelt. On his way home, he received a call and recognized the caller as soon as the ID appeared on the screen.

"Hi, hyung!" Hoseok grinned, keeping his focus on the road. "How are you?"

"I'm good, Hoseok. What about you?" Pdogg greeted back. "Where are you now? How's the album going?"

"It's going well, but I'm stuck on one song. I don't know why. I'm trying to find matching lyrics for the second verse, but nothing seems to work," Hoseok complained, taking a sharp turn.

"Ah, geurae? Why don't you come over to my place tonight?" the producer suggested.

"Ah, hyung, I'm a bit tired today... How about tomorrow? Are you busy?"

"Nope, then I'll be waiting for you in my studio."

"Okay, hyung, see you then!"

"Annyong!" The producer hung up, and the conversation ended.

"Ah, fuck," Hoseok cursed under his breath, feeling lost amid the chaos in his mind. "A warm shower will help me get back to my senses; I'm sure of it," he mumbled, turning on the radio.

He finally reached his apartment, took the elevator, and entered the cold, lonely house. "So warm," the idol murmured as he stepped into the living room, tossing his coat nonchalantly on the couch.

After taking a warm shower and changing into comfortable clothes, Hoseok sat down in his study room to tackle some of his pending work. He sighed heavily as he assessed the amount of work waiting for him.

***

"What's left is just to create the melody for 'I Wonder', and then I'll be done... hmm, and for the house song, I'll just ask someone else to compose the whole thing to add a new vibe to the album ... nee," the brunet confirmed, speaking on the phone again with his producer.

"Great! Then we'll start the recording sessions tomorrow for the first two completed songs," Pdogg suggested, and Hobi nodded his head. "Yeah, for the features, hyung, I think it would be best to collaborate with a female artist for the new song."

"Yes, why not? We'll discuss everything tomorrow. Hobi, take a rest now. You did a great job." Pdogg advised the younger man.

"Okay, good night, and thanks for your hard work."

"Yeah, jal ja!"

Hoseok ended the call and shut down his laptop while stretching his stiff body. The night had fallen as he continued working on his upcoming album. He had called the producer to update him on the progress he had made and to discuss potential featuring artists.

Looking at his wristwatch, he saw it was 9 p.m., so he decided to order some good food and enjoy the brief free time he had while watching a good drama on his comfy couch. Hoseok grinned at the idea and immediately got up from his studio chair and headed toward the living room. Once he placed his order, he grabbed the remote and started searching for a good K-movie to watch.

Just then, his screen lit up with an incoming call. As soon as Hoseok saw the caller ID, he quickly dismissed the call and returned his focus to the movie, completely ignoring his maknae, who was trying to reconcile with him, but to no avail.

As kind-hearted as Hoseok was, he couldn't resist the desperate calls and plead of his maknae. So he sent a message, clearly warning him to stop bothering him if he didn't want to jeopardize their friendship. The maknae listened immediately and stopped disturbing Hoseok's restful night.

Satisfied, Hoseok received his food and enjoyed it while watching the romantic comedy. After a while, he decided to call it a night. He shut down the 5th episode and headed straight to his room, switching off the lights on his way.

He buried himself under his heavy, warm blanket and closed his eyes, although thoughts of his pending album and upcoming documentary shoot lingered in his mind.

The next morning.

"Annyong, Dr. Sohee," a nurse greeted as a young lady bowed respectfully upon entering the large hall of the hospital of Seoul. "Someone is waiting for you in your office."

"Ah, jinjja? Who could it be? The blonde thought to herself as she returned the greeting and headed directly to her office.

"Sorry, it's usual for me to be late! I had some issues with my car; it wasn't cooperating today," Sohee excused herself with a nervous laugh, still unaware of who her guest was. "Anyway, how can I he-" Her words trailed off the moment she saw the person sitting across from her.

"Please, let's talk, Sohee. I can explain why I behaved like I did that evening..." Jae-yong pleaded, looking up at her shock expression.

Sohee hadn't spoken to him or even seen him since that night a week ago. He had also ignored her, further confirming the hurtful words he had said then.

She quickly regained her composure and returned to her desk.

"Doctor, I'm at work now. As a professional, you should separate your professional and personal life," Sohee scoffed dryly, donning her white coat and rushing off to begin her daily patient check-ups. She didn't give him a chance to respond.

Left alone, Jae-yong sighed in guilt, recalling the painful words he had thrown at her without regard for her feelings. He covered his face with his hands, feeling ashamed of his impulsive behavior. What a loser, he thought to himself.
