Iris's POV:
One week has passed and our one week break starts.

Today is the day that me and my friends would change the decision of my parents without them knowing

I hope this plan works..

I woke up early in the morning and cooked breakfast for me and my parents

After that i prepared the table and wake my parents up

*knock* *knock* *knock*

"Wake up mom and dad, i cooked breakfast for us" i said sweetly at them

"Huh? My daughter? Cooked breakfast for us?" My dad said teasing me

"Oh come on dad, it's not like i burnt the kitchen down into a crisp" i pouted

"Sheesh, stop teasing your daughter hun. Be thankful enough that she cooked breakfast for us when we have break from work" mom told dad

"Come on guys, the food is getting cold" i told them while pulling their hands

"Wow, you cooked this?" My dad pat my head

"Yeah" i said proudly

"Let's eat" my mom said

As we we're eating our breakfast, someone knocked at our door

I hope it's you guys

"I'll get it" i stood up and went to open the door

As i opened the door i saw my two best friend winking at me and i went to hug them

They came in our house and greeted my parents

"Good morning Auntie, good morning Uncle" both Alex and Cloe said

"Good morning you too, mind telling me why you're both here?" My dad asked suspiciously

"Nothing important Uncle, we just wanted to ask if you would like to join us for our picnic later at the park?" Cloe asked my parents

"Hmm...sure. We got nothing to do today so sure, we'll join you" my mom smiled at them

"Yes.." i said inside my head

"But first let's get ready" i told my parents

"Yeah, alright. We'll just get ready" my mom excused themselves to get dressed

"I hope our plan works" i whispered hesitantly

"I hope so too, we don't like you all sad and dead" Cloe pat my head

"But first get ready, we don't want your good looking boyfriend to see you like you just woken up now do we?" Alex smirked at me

"Geez..fine" i blushed then went upstairs

All i heard was giggles from those two jerks..idiots

I changed into this:

Styled my hair into this:

And put light makeup on

I went downstairs to see my parents all dressed up with my friends waiting for me.

"Let's go?" Dad asked me

"Let's go!" i cheered while smiling

We got into Dad's car and Alex told my Dad which park we'll be in

Once we get to the park, it was set up like this:

"Wow guys, you outdid yourselves this time" i said while looking around the beautiful scenery

"It's true.. it's such a beautiful scenery" my mom said in awe

"Marvelous scenery you picked" my dad complimented them

"Thanks Uncle and Auntie" Cloe thanked them for the compliments

As we we're setting up the table, Max and Kyle came

"Eyo Guys!" Max cheered

"Sup peeps!" Kyle greeted

"Well hello too boys" my mom said strictly

"Ohh umm..hi Auntie" Max scratched the back of his head

"Who are this boys?" My dad asked Alex

"They're our friends Uncle, we also invited them for the picnic...including another person" Alex said nervously

"And who is that?" My dad asked

I felt more nervous

"It's me.." Xian said

My eyes glistened looking at his eyes

Those eyes that i missed looking at, his presence that i longed for so long

"Ohh..hi Xian" my mom smiled at him

"So he's also invited?" My dad asked Cloe

"Yes Uncle" Cloe answered

I just stood there looking down

"It's fine sweety, you don't have to be like that" my mom walked toward me

"One week already passed and both of you earned our trust" my dad said to me

Hearing that made me feel relieved. It felt like a lot of load from my chest has been lifted.

"Really dad?" I looked at him

"Yes" my mom said while patting me head

"Go on, go to him" my mom pushed me forward

I walked towards him and just looked at him

"Are you just gonna stand there?" Cloe glared at me

I glared at her too

"Are you not gonna give me a hug?" He told me while putting his hand on my head

I looked at him blushing while pouting

Then he hugged me..i hugged him back

"I missed this" i said inside my head

*Cough* *cough*

"So let's get this picnic started" Max said to break the awkwardness

We sat down

I sat next to my boyfriend. Alex next to Max, Cloe next to Kyle and my dad next to mom.

"So what are we eating" i asked

"I'll be cooking" Xian said proudly

"Ohh look at Mr.Cocky here" i rolled my eyes

"Iris!" My mom shouted at me

I pouted

"So what are cooking Xian?" My dad questioned

"I'll be grilling sir" he answered

"Really?!" I asked him with sparkling eyes

I love meat. It's my favorite. I might tell you something, the only thing you need to do to win my heart is to feed me meat so yeah..

"Yeah" he pat my head

"I'll help" i said

"Can i help too?" Mom asked

"Of course ma'am" Xian said

We went outside and prepared the grill

"Sweety, do you know how to grill meat" my mom asked me

Xian laughed

"Mom of course i know, i can cook you know. I even cooked you and dad breakfast this morning" i pouted

"Just joking sweety" my mom also laughed

"Ugh! Let's just cook already!" i said madly

"Okay grumpy baby" Xian said and made my mom laugh again

As we started cooking, my mom started telling Xian about my childhood also..why mom..

"So yeah, pretty much that's why i didn't let Iris near the kitchen ever again" my mom said

"Ugh..mom that was like when i was 6th grade, i don't know how to cook that time" i stomped my foot

"Don't worry princess, i'll teach you how to cook properly in the future" he winked at me

"I do know how to cook. Why do you both have to be so annoying" i walked away

I just heard them laugh

"Why are you inside? I thought you were with them cooking outside?" Max said sitting next to me

"Ugh! Don't even ask. I'm annoyed right now" i rolled my eyes

"Mind telling me?" Max asked

"It's just..mom keeps telling Xian about my embarrassing childhood stories.." i told him

"Why? Scared that Xian might not like you anymore because of that?" Max asked again

"I-it's j-just.." i stuttered

"Look, he loves you from the start. At first we we're just playing with him. We told him to start being nice to you and see if you'd like him easily like the other girls did to him in the past. But the more we get to know you, the more we knew you we're different from the other girls, then he fell for you. Not for your looks, not for your flaws but for you great personality" he told me the truth

"He hasn't been that cheery ever since they moved here. They had to move because of his dad's work so they had to leave his home town, he really loved it there" he said

"But ever since he met you, he became his old self again. You we're the reason of his happiness so don't ever think he'll change because of your embarrassing flaws" he giggled

"Thanks, i needed that comfort" i told him

"And just to give you a heads up, you'd be a perfect match for Alex" i said to him

"I know" he winked at me

"Boy don't be over confident about yourself, you'll have a hard time before you capture her heart" i laughed at him

"I'm prepared" he said

"Fine suit yourself, now if you excuse me, i'll be helpful and start preparing the table" i got up and prepare the table

Xian's POV:
I hope Iris isn't that mad at me. She's just cute when she's flustered and embarrased

So i went inside and put the grilled meat on the table

I was getting more side dishes when i saw her carrying a lot of plates and glasses in her hands

I went beside her and grabbed the plates and glasses in her hands

She just looked at me

"Hey..umm about earlier.." i started

"It's fine, i was just embarrassed. I was scared you might not like me anymore because of my embarrassing childhood stories.." she blushed

I looked at her with so much adore and kissed her forehead still holding the plates and glasses in my hands

She looked at my hands and took the glasses

"I would never stop liking you just because you have those flaws" i assured her

"Promise?" She asked me

"Promise" i smiled at her

"Now let's put this to the table so we can start eating" he smiled widely at me

"Let's go princess" i said

As we went to the table to put the glasses and plates, everyone's eyes was on us

"What?" Iris asked them

"Nothing~" her mom cooed at us

"Mom it doesn't suit you, stop it" she said then sat down

Iris's POV:
As we we're eating we we're just chatting about some normal stuffs

"So do you like how the meat tastes?" My mom smirked at me

"Yeah mom, you outdid yourself today" i kept eating

"I didn't cooked them, your boyfriend did" mom told me

I almost chocked

"Y-you did?!" I said shocked

"Yes" he said and touched my nose

"It taste so good!" I said while talking another bite of the meat

"She's really cute while eating" Cloe said

"No you're cuter" I said to her

"Thanks girl" she winked at me

As the day was passing we we're just enjoying ourselves talking to each other.

Mom and dad had to leave after they ate because something came up from work so i have to go home with Xian today

Me and Xian was just sitting alone next to the cherry blossom tree next to our picnic are. We we're just relaxing together

"This feels nice doesn't it?" He asked me

"It does. Specially because i'm right next to you" i cuddled to him closer

"I hope this doesn't end.." i said to him

"I hope so too" he pat my back

"I was great at cooking wasn't i?" He said changing the topic

"Yeah, you we're great" i complimented him

"Hah..i should teach you how to cook next time" he said to me

"Uhh! I know how to cook ok?" I pouted at him childishly

"Hehe yeah alright princess" he pinched my cheeks

"But i d--" he cut me off my putting a lollipop in my mouth

"You're such a jerk you know that?" I took the lollipop in my mouth and threw it on the ground

"Heh but you love me" he stuck his tongue out at me

"Can't believed i loved a jerk" i rolled my eyes to tease him

"Yah!" He flick my forehead with his finger

"Hey! I was only kidding" i touched my forehead while getting up from his lap

"Hehe sorry" he kissed my forehead to make me feel better

"Let's go home it's getting dark already" i told him

"Yeah we should" he replied then we got up and went to the picnic area

Me, Xian, Alex, Max, Cloe, and Kyle tidy up the place and put everything in Max's car because he's car has a bigger trunk

Cloe went with Alex and they left

Max went with Kyle and they went home also

And i went with my boyfriend and he took me home

"Are you sure you'll be ok alone here?" He asked me worriedly

"Yes and my parents will be home any moment now so i'll be ok" i assured him

"See you tomorrow Iris, take care ok?"
He said to me

"Yeah, you too ok?" I held his hand

"Goodnight" he waved at me and walked over to his car

"Goodnight!" I yelled at him

I went inside our house and fixed my things

I went and took a quick bath and put on my pajamas

I really enjoyed it today. I wasn't expecting my parents to change their decision easily so i was really glad

I was really glad too because my friends can come and join us for today. It was really fun

I hope nothing goes wrong...
