Chapter 7

"What's with that look?" Jaemin asked once Haejin entered their dorm.

Haejin ignored her and went straight to her room. "Haejin-ah!" He called. No response. She didn't even bothered to look back.

Jaemin turned his head towards Mark, who happened to be also looking at Haejin.

"Hyung what was that?" He asked.

Mark shrugged, "Why don't you talk to her?"

Jaemin complied. He went towards Haejin's room and knocked.

"Love..." he knocked softly.

Meanwhile Haejin was behind the door, holding the door knob, thinking if she should open the door or not.

"You really have the guts to call me by our nicknames but you ignored me earlier? What in the world?" She whispered.

Not that she's jealous—wait, let her rephrase. She's in fact jealous. The fact that Jaemin ignored her for someone else earlier. He even walked forward, not sparing Haejin a single glance.

"Love can we please talk?" He knocked again.

She didn't response.

She rolled her eyes, even if Jaemin could not see it. "Yeah right, 'Love'."

"Mark-hyung! Can you please hand me the spare key?" Jaemin shouted so that Mark could hear him.

Haejin, as quick as he could, grabbed her bluetooth headphones and connected it to her phone. She played a song on full volume so that it would look like she couldn't hear him because she's on headphones.

The door cracked open and Haejin started dancing to Girls' Generation's "Into the new world."

Jaemin saw Haejin dancing while her eyes were closed. It looked like she was feeling the lyrics while dancing, although she was pretending.

Jaemin just watched her in awe. He sat down on her bed and just watched her.

"Love." He called once.

"Haejin-ah, can you please talk to me? I know you can perfectly hear me." He said softly.

Haejin could really hear him. She just ignored him and continued dancing.

Knowing that Haejin could perfectly hear him, he continued talking, "Hey are you mad?"

Haejin looked at him and stopped the music, "What do you think, genius?" She raised a brow.

"What did I do? Could you please tell me?" He pleaded. Then he continued, "I might go crazy if you don't tell me..."

Haejin shrugged, "I don't know... maybe ignoring me earlier?"

"Ignore you? I didn't—"

Haejin unexpectedly slammed her desk which made him flinch. She was mad. "I don't know, geez." She said sarcastically. Then she continued, "Why don't you ask that Sohyun girl?"

Jaemin raised a brow. Sohyun? What does this had to do with Sohyun? He smirked upon realizing something. Her girlfriend is jealous.

He stood up, smiling, "Hey~" He singsongs, walking towards Haejin who was leaning her head on her desk. "Are you perhaps jealous?" He asked, sitting beside her.

Not getting any response, he decided to hug her tight. "Haejin-ah, listen to me. Please don't be jealous? Please believe me when I say that she's just a friend. And she will never be more than that. Because I'm lucky to have a girl who's beautiful, smart, and as talented as you." He said.

Haejin looked at him, "Mhmm... alright... just a friend... but you ignored your girlfriend for that friend you just met? Okay..." She said, leaning her head down on the desk again.

Jaemin sighed, he really could't win any if their arguments.

He started singing a song which made both of their hearts flutter.

Haejin wanted to cry. She's always stubborn. But here he is, still persuading her. Which feels like he's courting her again and again.

She was crying, but Jaemin couldn't see it, as her head was leaning onto the table.
