Chapter 48

8 weeks later...

Jaemin, Jisung, and Chenle were the only ones left to look after Haejin.

"Where's Mark-hyung?" Jaemin asked Jisung who was sitting on the couch.

"I think he's with 127 hyungs. Look, Haechan-hyung is not here too." Jisung said, looking tired.

Someone knocked at the door. Chenle opened it. It was Chanyeol, Baekhyun, and Sehun from EXO. Haejin's EXO biases and closest friends (that aren't from NCT or GA).

"Hyung..." Jaemin softly said once he saw Baekhyun.

"We heard about Haejin. We flew back here as soon as we could." Baekhyun calmly said, putting his arm around Jaemin's shoulder.

EXO just came back from Japan from their promotions. As close friends of Haejin, some of them went to the hospital to see how she's doing.

"But hyungs, aren't you supposed to be on tour? Or promotions?" Jaemin asked.

Sehun sat down beside Jaemin and patted his back, "Fans won't mind if we get delayed for a bit. Haejin is also our friend. She's like our younger sister. She's also an EXO-L. She's important to us."

"That's right. She's a fan, a friend, a family. That's what's makes her special," Chanyeol coninued.

Baekhyun looked at Haejin's sleeping form. She looked so peaceful. But at the same time, she looked weak.

"Haejin-ah, wake up already, okay? Baekhyun-oppa is already worried..." Baekhyun whispered.

Jaemin wanted to cry for the nth time today. It hurts to see her girlfriend like that. When she wakes up, he'll probably hug her, and never let go.

"Haejin-ah did you took my joke seriously? I didn't know that you will... wake up, my daughter. Appa misses you already..." chanyeol sat beaide Haejin's bed.

Everytime Haejin complains about things being hard, she would say that she wanted to sleep forever. Chanyeol would reply, "then go sleep forever." Haejin would just smack him in his arm and walk away, leaving Chanyeol laughing behind.

Haejin would call Chanyeol her "appa" and she would tease Baekhyun, calling him "eomma." The two of them would just laugh, and will go along with her joke.

The two, Chanyeol and Baekhyun, wouldn't want to admit it but they already miss their "daughter"

During their last show in Osaka last night, they mentioned Haejin in one of their ments. Saying that she should already wake up and her oppas already miss her.

"Haejin-ah, why didn't you tell me about this? I already told you that you can tell me everything. Whatever uour reason is, I totally understand you, okay?" Sehun softly said.

"Haejin-ah, your brothers and sisters already miss you... they're worried already... wake up now, okay?" Sehun continued.

Jaemin sat down beside Jisung, giving way to their hyungs so that they could see Haejin.

"What did the doctor say?" Chanyeol asked.

Jaemin shrugged, "When she was transferred to this room, he said that Haejin had a weak heart. I forgot the exact name of the disease but he said it. It was Mark-hyung whom we talked with."

Chanyeol nodded.

"Back then, did you guys suspect that she was hiding something?" Baekhyun asked.

Jisung shook his head, "No, hyung. She's really good at hiding her feelings."

"Though there was a time that she complained that she's having a hard time breathing and that she felt dizzy," Jeno said.

"She said that?! She really complained?! To you?!" Jaemin said, shocked.

Haejin doesn't usually complain, when she does, it means that something si wrong. That she isn't feeling good.

Jeno nodded, "She did. Once. You were on hiatus that time, Jaemin-ah. Don't be mad.."

Jaemin nodded, "Okay, okay..."

"Jaemin-ah, how did you feel when you knew about this?" Sehun asked.

"It was around 3 am when Mark-hyung called me. I had no idea what was up because it was 3 am! Then I was really shocked when he told me that something had happened to Haejin. When I got here, the docors were reviving her and I was so scared. I really didn't know what to do. Haejin's co-members were crying so hard, Mark-hyung was silent. I just cried silently as I watched the doctors revived her." Jaemin answered truthfully.

Everyone knew about Haejin and Jaemin's relationship. Well, except for the fans. They are the only ones who doesn't know. Well... for now. The president even know about them.

Although there are rumors about them. But they just kept on denying it because they don't want to be the topic of the news.

Chanyeol stood up and went towards the cork board which has sticky notes on it.

He looked at the notes and saw messages from people who had visited her. There were messages from Yoona, BoA, Heechul, Suho, Kyungsoo, and certain others.

On the other side of the cork board lies Jaemin's daily notes. Ever since Haejin fell asleep (coma), Jaemin had the habit to write notes for her.

There were also notes from fans in which they collected two weeks ago.

"What are these?" Chanyeol asked.

Baekhyun stood up and also looked at the cork board.

"Those are notes from people who visited her. Some are from fans. Some are from our sunbaes. Most of them are from me." Jaemin shyly said.

"Oh, I see... but what's the purpose of writing these?" Baekhyun asked.

"So that when Haejin wakes up, she will see how worried people were. So that she'll see that we were all thinking of her. That she is included in every single prayer we pray." Jaemin said.

"I wanna write. Where can I write?" Sehun asked, standing up, and looking through the notes.

Chenle stood up and pointed at the sticky notes that were lying on the table beside Haejin's bed.

There were pink, blue, and green sticky notes on the board. Each one of them telling Haejin to stay strong and wake up. That everyone is worried about her.

Baekhyun grabbed the pink sticky notes and wrote some korean syllables quickly. Though the note was short, it was really meaningful. Haejin-ah, my child, my daughter, please wake up? Everyone is worried. We all miss you already. When you wake up, please be careful okay? We don't want things like this to happen again. We love you Haejin! We truly miss you. -Baekhyun-oppa

Chanyeol was the one writing on the blue sticky note, Haejinnie, wake up? Appa misses you! We miss you already :( Can you do appa a favor and wake up? I love you! -Chanyeol

Sehun was writing on the green sticky note, My sister~ can you wake up already? I miss your irritating voice. I miss your annoying laugh. But most importantly, I miss my number one fan. It's you, Haejin. If you wake up, I promise that I'll treat you ice cream or bubble tea-make that anything you want. Just wake up, okay? I miss you, Jinjin. I love you! -Sese

A few minutes later, the three left. Jisung, Jaemin, and Chenle were the ones left.

Jaemin stood up and wrote a note: Wake up, love.

Simple, yet meaningful.

"Haejin-ah wake up now please?" He said, tears streaming down his face.
