Chapter 24

"Okay girls, you have 4 weeks break. You can do whatever you want as long as it won't ruin your group, okay?" Their manager reminded them before they parted ways.

They're currently at their dorm. It's 8 am and Haejin's excited because she and Mark are going to Canada and stay there for a week, until New Year is over.

"Here are the keys for the front door. In case some of you will arrive here earlier than me. I'm giving you a duplicate." Their manager hands them the key.

Haejin's phone vibrated. It was from Mark.

Where are you? I'm waiting for you at SM. Our flight's at 11 come on.

She locked her phone and stood up, grabbing her luggage.

"Manager-unnie, girls, I've got to go now. My brother is already waiting for me." Haejin said.

"Take care, Haejin-unnie." Junghee said.

Their manager nodded.

Haejin smiled at them, "I will. You guys take care too. See you soon."

And she left the dorm. She waited for a taxi to pass and went to SM Building. Once she arrived, she saw Mark waiting outside the building, wearing his favorite coat and mask, with a luggage by his side.

"Minhyung-oppa!" She called.

Mark looked at the person who called her. He sighed, "You're here. Finally."

Haejin laughed, "I'm sorry.. our manager told us some things, that took me some time."

"Let's go." Mark said.

"Where?" Haejin asked.

"127's dorm. Hyungs wanted to see you so bad. We're also going there to say goodbye." Mark said.

"Okay then."

"Jaehyun-hyung, open up..." Mark said, knocking at 127's dorm.

'Could they possibly be sleeping? At this time? It's 8:30.' Haejin thought.

Well, they were all busy doing promotions. Haejin could understand.

The door opened, "Haejin-ah!!!!" Winwin hugged her.

"Haejin?! She's here??!" Haechan said, standing up and going towards the door.

"Yah, hyung move over!" Haechan said, pushing Winwin aside, he wad the one hugging Haejin instead.

"Dongsaengieeee!!!!" Jaehyun came running.

"Donghyuckie, move." Jaehyun ordered. Haechan didn't budge.

"Mark!!! Get your Donghyuck over here!" Jaehyun said.

"What the heck hyung?!" Mark said, looking st Jaehyun disapprovingly.

"See? They missed you so much." Mark whispered. Haejin smiled.

"Why won't you let us in, guys? We're tired standing." Mark said, rolling his eyes.

"Where are the others?" Haejin asked.

Just then, a running Taeyong came into the room, giving Haejin a big hug.

"Call Taeil-hyung, Doyoung and Johnny. Wake them up. NCT 127 should be complete." Taeyong ordered.

They complied.

Leaders...

"Taeil-hyung just go..." Jaehyun gestured Taeil inside.

"Haejin-ah!!!!" He said, screaming like a girl.

"Taeil-oppa!!!" She said, smiling.

"Haejin-ah!!" Johnny smiled at her.

"Hello, John-oppa!" She smiled back.

"HAEJIN LEEEEEEEE!!!!" Doyoung screeched.

"DOYOUNG KIIIIIIIIM!!!" Haejin imitated the way Doyoung called him.

"Haejin, we're so proud of you!!" Taeyong started.

Haejin smiled.

"We were so amazed with your performance last August. You performed reaaaaallly well!! You guys are still rookies but you outsold some groups!" Haechan said.

"Your album was even ranked 2nd!" Taeil said.

"Woah, how did you guys even know that? I'm a member but I have no idea.." Haejin laughed.

"We're fans!" They all said at once.

Haejin was amused, "You're what?"

"We're GA's fans!" Johnny said. Haejin laughed.

"Really? Awww thank you guys!" She was deeply moved.

Her idols were idolizing her.

"Chenle even bought your album. He got your photocard." Haechan said.

Haejin was flustered. She didn't know how to react.

"For real?" She asked.

Haechan nodded, "Yes. His favorite track in your album is 'Smile' which is your duet with Junghee, right?"

"Yes... right.." She smiled.

She was happy. She didn't expect that her idols were actually idolizig her and her group.

'This feels surreal.' She thought.

"Go visit NCT Dream's dorm some time." Haechan suggested.

"I want to but our flight's already today. I also want to see Dream. I'll just go there when we get back." She said.

"Do you really want tk see Dream or is it just Jaemin?" Jaehyun teased her.

Haejin sighed, "Guuuuys, I don't like him~" She whined.

NCT Members nodded uncovincingly, "Okay sure... whatever you say." Taeyong said.

"Sure, sure... if you say so..." Taeil nodded.

She stomped her food, "Yah, how many times do I have to tell you guysㅡaish nevermind."

"Haejin-ah, let's go?" Mark said.

She looked at her wristwatch. It was already 9:45. Time really flies when you're enjoying.

"I'll see you guys next year?" Haejin smiled.

The members nodded.

"Group huuuug!!!!" Yuta said.

And they all hugged.

"Mark, Haejin, take care okay? Call us when you get there." Taeyong said, hugging Haejin for the last time.

"Okay, hyung." Mark smiled.

"Oppas, take care okay? Advanced Merry Christmas!" Haejin smiled.

"Thank you, Haejin-ah..."

"Hyungs, we have to go now..." Mark said.

"Haejin-ah, one more thing." Haechan said even before Haejin and Mark could leave.

"What is it?" She asked.

"When will your winter album be released?" Haechan smiled sheepishly.

Haejin chuckled, "On the 27th, Haechan-oppa."

"Okay, I see.. I'll look forward to it." Haechan smiled.

"Thank you! Bye guys!"

"I'm so excited to see mom again," Haejin squealed once their plane took off.

Mark smiled, "Me too."

Haejin looked outside the window.

"I'll miss Seoul, to be honest." She sighed.

Mark laughed, "What are you even talking about? It's just a week."

"I know, I know..." Haejin nodded.

"Hey, what about the comeback stages? GA will perform without you?" Mark asked.

Haejin shook her head, "It's been filmed already."

"Oh, okay.. I see.." Mark nodded.

hours later...

"Haejin-ah, wake up... We'll be landing..." Mark tapped his sister's shoulder.

Haejin was leaning on Mark's shoulder.

She slowly opened her eyes, the sun was about to rise. She was in awe. It feels like this is the first time that she'll see Canada after a long time.

She looked at her watch, 8:40 pm, Seoul time.

"Mark-oppa, what time is it here?" She asked.

"4:20 am." Mark answered.

"Mom's already awake?" Haejin asked.

Mark chuckled, "She didn't know that we'll come back here."

"Really? It's a surprise then?"

"Yes it is."
