Chapter 12

"Haejin-ah!"

"What do you want now, Mark?" Haejin said as she holds her phone near her ear.

Mark called her in the middle of practice and she has no idea why.

"Come here!!!" He shrieked.

She covered the microphon of her phone and stood up, "I'll just talk to my brother."

Her members nodded.

Once outside, she started talking, "Come where, exactly?!"

"You know our practice room, right?!"

"No, I don't."

"Fine, I'll just send Jaemin there to accompany you here!!"

"WAIT, SEND WHO?!"

"Bye!!!"

"MARK!!!"

"I hate you..." She muttered under her breath.

The line was cut.

She stomped her foot in agony and frustration. She went inside their practice room and stomped her foot.

"The heck is your problem?" Soeun said while munching on her chips.

"Unnie, give me some~" Junghee whined at Soeun. Soeun just stuck her tongue out.

"Eunji-unnie!!!! Soeun-unnie is being unfair!!" Junghee whined.

Haejin rolled her eyes. Are they really my team?

"Can you guys just---" Eunji sighed. "Don't mind her Junghee. I'll buy you chips later, if that's what you want."

Junghee's eyes sparkled, "Jinjja?! Yaaaaayyyy!!!" She looked at Soeun and stuck her tongue out. "Bleeehh! Meanie!"

"Okay, I'll just go out because no one is listening to me.." Haejin said.

"I heard you. I just needed to stop the two," Eunji said. "Anyways, what is it? You looked frustrated. What happened? Was that Mark-sunbae? Did you two fought?"

"Yes, I'm frustrated. Yes, it was Mark. No, we didn't fight." Haejin answered.

"Then what happened?"

"He told me to go to their practice room."

"And? That made you mad?"

Haejin shook his head, "No! First, I don't know where their practice room is. Second, he said that he'll send Jaemin to accompany--or basically to fetch me!!"

"HE SAID WHAT?!?!" The members screamed.

"AAAAA WHY IS MARK LIKE THIS I HATE HIM!!! I'M GONNA KILL HIM I SWEAR I HATE HIM!!!" She lied down and kicked the air.

"Can youㅡ"

"Calm down? Of course I CAN'T!" Haejin interrupted Yui.

"Why are you so mad at Mark-sunbae for doing that? You're acting weird, Haejin-unnie... tell ud the truth. Do you like Jaemin-sunbae? Are you guys dating?" Xiurong asked.

The members looked at Haejin sternly.

"What theㅡokay first of all, we are totally NOT dating. Second, I DO NOT like him. Understood?" Haejin said, rolling her eyes.

Fudge why am I like this. I don't want my co-members to know. Not now...

"Why are you like that thenㅡ"

A knock interrupted Eunji's question. Haejin's heartbeat sped up even without knowing who the person who knocked might be.

"Oh crap that's him..." Haejin covered her face. She whined.

The other members screamed. They immediately stood up (again, except for Haejin) to open the door.

And yes, Haejin was right.

It was Jaemin.

"U-uh... Hi, I'm looking for Haejin."

The girls looked at each other. "ANNYEONGHASEYO JAEMIN-SUNBAENIM!!!"

"Haejin-unnie is over there, just... don't mind her whining." Junghee whispered. "She's annoying sometimes... I mean most of the time..."

"JUNGHEE I'M NOT DEAF I CAN HEAR YOU CLEARLY!!!!" Haejin yelled.

"Anyways, come inside, Jaemin-sunbae. She's over there. We'll leave you two." Eunji said.

The other members left Jaemin and Haejin alone.

"Haejin-ah..."

"What? Leave me alone."

Jaemin froze. Is she not in a good mood? Maybe she does not want me here.

"M-Mark-hyug told me to come and get you." Jaemin stuttered.

Haejin wanted to laugh. Why is he stuttering oh my gosh and why do I find it cute?!?! Argh, someone help me. Someone call the doctor!

"Tell him I'm tired." Haejin said.

She got no response and thought that Jaemin left.

What? Did he leave? Tsk.

She was about to turn her head but a pair of strong arms started to lift her up. It was Jaemin once again.

"WHAT THE HELL LET ME DOWN!!!" She screamed while trying to break free.

Jaemin just carried her, bridal style.

"Keep quiet, people migt hear you and think that I'm doing something bad!" Jaemin said, standing up, leaving their practice room.

"Jaemin-oppa, please let me down! Y-you... you might hurt your back because of me... pl-please..." Haejin pleaded. She was almost crying. And she wanted to kill herself because she doesn't want to cry in front of Jaemin. In front of the guy she loves.

"Haejin-ah? Are you crying? Don't... Don't worry, I got my back treated, alright? I'm fine now... You... stop crying, please? Uljima... (don't cry)" Jaemin said.

NO, I'M NOT CRYING. I'M LAUGHING!!

Jaemin is heading towards NCT's practice room with a girl in her arms. Staffs were looking at him and Haejin, who was covering her face because of embarrassment, but he just doesn't give a single damn about it.

"We're here." Jaemin said.

Haejin wiped her eyes. "We are?"

"Mhm.."

The door opened, even without knocking. It was Taeyong who opened it.

"T-Taeyong-oppa... this.. th-this isn'tㅡ"

"Hyung can you just let us in?"

Taeyong, still in shock, opened the door widely so that Haejin and Jaemin can enter.

The members froze and just looked at them. Their mouths were agape.

Taeil stopped playing his phone.

Johnny dropped the sandwich he was eating.

Taeyong was still staring at them.

Yuta's eyes went wide.

Kun wanted to scream.

Doyoung was happy, but he couldn't scream. He was still processing the words he'll say later.

Ten's mouth was agape.

Jaehyun and Winwin were smirking at Jaemin.

Jungwoo and Lucas was smiling.

Mark was smiling happily.

Renjun, Jeno, and Haechan were looking at each other, signalling a "you-know-what-I'm-thinking-right?" kind of look.

Chenle was in awe.

Jisung, who was trying to call Chenle's attention while hitting his arm stopped and looked at the people who just entered the room.

"Hey, cut it out!" Haejin said, embarrassed.

They all blinked.

"Hyungs and dongsaengs, you're scaring us." Jaemin said, chuckling.

They all coighed awkwardly.

"Haejin-ah!!!" Mark called.

Haejin looked at her brother who was still smiling brightly.

Why is he skiling like an idiot? Did Hyuck already said yesㅡoh right, 'no homo bro' Haejin wanted to laugh because of impersonating his brother's voice once he told him that.
