Last night, I went to my friend's house for her birthday. I was the only one invited since her party is on Saturday. We went to a Chinese restaurant, then went back to her house for cake and presents. Though, I feel like I was being a bit impolite.
I said thanks to her father and stepmother, and I was trying to be as polite and well-mannered as I could, but I think I got a little out of control after a while.
My friend asked me if I wanted to go on a walk, I said yes because it was her birthday and I didn't want to say no on her birthday. Anyway, we went on a walk for about half an hour then we got back to her house. Her parents, grandparents, aunt, and uncle were all mad at us because we were gone for so long and they even sent out my friend's little sister to go out looking for us.
Thank god her sister was only down the street, but when she got back she was furious! It even scared my friend!
Then we went inside for cake and presents. She got all of her presents and one of them was really expensive (top picture) I said, "Wow! I wish I had one of those!" Trying to sound like I was paying attention. Then one of her relatives said, "Well then you should get one with your own money!" She sounded a bit angry. I just sat in silence the rest of the time.
After cake, we went to go play hide and seek because we were bored. We came back downstairs after the first round and her stepmom started yelling at us to be quiet. Of course my friend quickly found an excuse, "But (my name) fell!" And it was true, that's what gave away my spot.
After the second round we came back down again so we could count and her stepmom yelled at us again. "But I bumped into a wall!" Again, this was true. And again, that's what gave away my hiding spot. Don't blame me! I could stop laughing!
After that my dad came and picked me up and I think her stepmom was a bit relieved.
