My sister Tina and I have had a rough life. We both have the same mom but different fathers. Our mother didn't really care too much about us and our dad's were never involved in our life. We have always taken care of each other and looked after one another. Especially Teens, thats what I call her. She's a year older than me and she keeps me on the straight and narrow cause sometimes, I can be a trouble maker. We were forced to check each other's homework growing up and forge our mother's signature cause she was never home. Partying and men were more important to her. We also had to do the cooking, cleaning and laundry cause if we didn't, we would never have food or clean clothes to wear. Sometimes we even had to steal our food just so we could eat.

We studied hard in high school and were awarded full scholarships to UCLA in California. Our mother never even told us she was proud of us the day we left for college. We moved into the dorm and became roomates. Tina is majoring in journalism and creative writing and I'm studing to be a nurse. We are in our sophmore year and are enjoying every minute of it. Teens has a very controlling boyfriend named Trap and I have a boyfriend named Shawn. Shawn is nice but kinda dumb and immature. I'm 20 and Shawn is 19. I've told Teens time and time again to get away from Trap but he seems to have a hold on her that I can't explain. I really like Shawn and we've been going out for 7 months now but I just don't know how much longer I can put up with his immaturity.

Teens and I were getting ready for class and as usual, I was making us late

Oh my God Karen! Will you hurry up! We're five minutes late already!" Teens said to me as I put on my cherry red lip gloss.

"Ok, ok hold on Tina! I'm almost ready, besides I hate calculus class with a passion, I really don't care if we're late." I tell her
"Well I do. I wanna do well in this class and you should too." She tells me picking up her bookbag.
"Yeah, well whatever Teens. When will I need calculus in the real world anyway?" I tell her
"Thats true but we need to pass this class in order to graduate and get our degree. Thats whats important Karen. God, I feel like the mother sometimes." she tells me
"Thats why I love you Teens. You are always looking out for me and I appreciate that." I tell her as I give her a big hug
"Yeah ok. Don't get all mushy on me now. Come on lets go to class." she tells me as she gives me a kiss on the cheek.

We run out the dorm and across campus and make it to the math and science building. We run up the steps and make it to the door. We open the door and walk inside.

"Oh..sorry we're late Ms. Williams but..." I start to say but I'm stopped dead in my tracks.

Ms. Williams is not there in the front of the class but a young man in his late 20's early 30's is standing there. He's the most gorgeous thing I've ever seen in my life. Gorgeous jet black curly hair, beautiful deep brown eyes, warm smooth caramel colored skin and a smile that can melt an iceberg. I lose my train of thought as he stands there staring at us smiling.

"Hello girls, glad you can make it. My name is Mr.Jackson and I'm substituting for Ms.Williams for the rest of the semester. She's had an unfortunate medical emergency but she should be ok. What are your names?" He asks us

I'm speechless. Tina jabs me in the side cause I can't stop staring at him.

"Oh..uhh...my name is Karen Smith and this is my sister Tina Smith." I manage to stammer out blushing
"Ok, I'll mark you as present then. Please, take your seats." he tells us

Tina and I make our way to two seats towards the back of the classroom.

"You see, you made us late now we have to sit in the back of the class." she whispers to me
"Yeah, nevermind that. I can't believe how gorgeous our substitute is." I whisper to her smiling
"Seriously Karen, he's our teacher. You can't be interested in him." she whispers to me
"Oh calm down Teens, no harm in looking, is there?" I tell her
"Well now that you mention it, he is quite cute." she tells me giggling.

I giggle back and it catches Mr.Jackson's attention.

"Something funny back there girls?" he asks us
"No, sorry sir." Teens says back to him.
"Ok, cause you girls have already disrupted the class by being late. Please don't cause any further interuptions or I'll have to report you to the Dean." He tells us.
"Ok, won't happen again sir." Teens tells him

I roll my eyes at him and suck my teeth.

"Gosh, he's no fun is he. As cute as he is, he sure has an attitude problem" I whisper to Teens.
"Shhhh.." she tells me

Man this is gonna be a long semester...

Class slowly drags by and I'm half paying attention to Mr.Jackson. I'm too busy staring at him and fantasizing about having my way with him. He's seems very strict but I bet I could soften him up, I think to myself. The class bell ringing brings me out of my fantasy.

"Before you guys go, there will be a test tomorrow on chapters 1 thru 3. So study hard. Ok, you're dismissed." Mr.Jackson says smiling at the class
"Ugh! I can't study tonight, I have a date with Shawn." I say standing up and gathering my books.
"Karen, school comes first, then fun." Teens tells me standing up and gathering her books.
"I'm beginning to hate this new substitute teacher. But God...he's handsome." I tell Teens.

She laughs at me. Just then our friend Nick comes over to us. He was sitting in the class on the other side of the room.

"You guys wanna form a study group for this test tomorrow?" Nick asks us
"You and Teens can, I've got a date." I say smiling at Nick
"Wow Karen, this is a mid semester exam, its kinda important." Nick tells me
"Yeah well, I'll be alright, I don't need to study, I got this." I tell him smiling

We walk out the class and walk by Mr.Jackson sitting at the desk.

"See you tomorrow girls, don't be late this time." He tells us
"We won't. Bye Mr.Jackson." Tina says

I say nothing and just roll my eyes at him. He sees me roll my eyes and he just smiles at me. I can't help it but his smile gives me butterflies in my stomach.
