"How was your business you had to deal with?" Aragorn asks Elrond
"It was um...good" Elrond says
"If you were working,why are your boots wet?" Arwen asks
"I was walking outside,the grass is wet" Elrond says
"The grass is dry,its summer time" Lindir says,Elrond glares at the younger elf who leaves the room.

"Why are you asking all these question's?" Elrond asks,heading to his desk
"Because you weren't where you said you would be" Arwen says
"Excuse me" Elrond says
"Eldarion told us" Aragorn says
"Oh" Was all Elrond said
"So let's hear it from you" Arwen asks her father, Elrond looks from Arwen to Aragorn and asks
"What do want to know?"

"Are you and Y/n a couple?" Arwen asks getting straight to the point
"No we aren't" Elrond says
"Do you want to be?" Aragorn asks
"I...I like Y/n a lot but..." Elrond pauses mid sentence "I'm scared to admit my true feelings for her
"Why you both clearly like each other a lot" Aragorn asks
"He isn't sure if Y/n truly cares for him,or is it a passing fancy" Arwen says.

"That's its" Elrond says
"Ask her,straight up and ask her how she really feels for you" Arwen says
"And if I don't get the answer I want,then what daughter?" Elrond asks
"I will deal with Y/n" Arwen tells her father.

Meanwhile with Legolas and Y/n

Y/n'sP.O.V

I found Legolas waiting for beside the trees
"There you are,I..." Legolas pauses mid sentence "Why are you smiling like that and why are your boots wet?" He asks me
"Oh I was just...um doing nothing" I say
"I don't believe you" Legolas says"If you where doing nothing, you wouldn't be smiling like that"I just shrug.

"OK so I have to guess" Legolas says sighing, we sit down on the grass
"You should know Leggy that nothing is ever simple with me" I tell the blond elf
"That is certainly true" Legolas agreed"so what made you smile so much" Legolas looks around him thinking
"Don't think to much,it might hurt" I tease him.

"Ha ha so funny" Legolas says" Did you plan a big prank and that is why you are so happy?" He asks
"Nope,guess again" I say
"Its got to be a an elf then" Legolas says
"Wow you are good" I say laying down on the grass
"We have known each other for 200 years,so yeah I know you" Legolas says.

"That's true" I say
"So this elf,guy or girl?" Legolas asks
"Guy" I say
"Do I know them?" Legolas asks
"Yes,but I'm not saying a name" I tell him
"Fair enough" Legolas says" Will you describe this elf then"
"Tall,elegant,charming, wise" I list
"That's a lot of elf's,my self included" Legolas says.

"Don't interrupt" I tell him"He is different from so many other elf's. With his long dark brown hair,beautiful blue eyes and when he smiles...wow"
"Wow Y/n I've never seen you like this before, you must really like this elf" Legolas says
"He is really amazing but..." I pause thinking back to my worry from last week.

"But what Y/n?" Legolas asks
"He's older than me" I tell him sitting back up
"And...?" Legolas pushes
"He is Arwen's father" I say quietly,Legolas is silent processing what I had just said
"You have a crush on Lord Elrond" Legolas asks in disbelief
"Yes I do" I say
"I see your predicament" Legolas says"But it shouldn't matter that he is older or he is the father of one of you best friends, what matters most is the fact that you make each other happy"

"I just don't want to upset Arwen and Eldarion" I say
"I don't think you will,I'm sure Arwen would be happy for her father to be happy again" Legolas tells me
"I hope so" I say"I will talk to them tomorrow"

Time skip to tomorrow

I woke up feeling uneasy,I had decided I'd ask Elrond how he really feels about me. I just hope he truly feels the same way. I made my way to Elrond's study knowing he is awake early. I was about to knock on the door when it actually opened
"Y/n I was just coming to look for you" Elrond says
"Can we talk?" I ask him.

"Of course" Elrond says, he heads back into his study and I follow him inside the room. I close the door behind me and face Elrond
"What would you like to talk about?" Elrond asks
"I...er...I wanted to talk about...us" I say
"I see" Elrond says"That is what I wanted to talk with you about"
"So...er...how does this work?" I ask

"First my grandson Eldarion showed his parents us together yesterday and they both know something is going on" Elrond tells me
"I told Legolas" I say
"So four people know about our meetings" Elrond says " Now I have to ask the more important question"
"OK"
"Y/n how do really feel about me?" Elrond asks"Am I just a passing fancy?"

"No you aren't, I really like you Elrond. I don't care that you are a lot older than me or the fact that you are Arwen's father,you are the most amazing elf I have ever met and I think I might be in love with you but I don't actually know how that feels as I have never known love" I admit to the elf lord. Elrond walks over to me and says
"I really care for you Y/n,I haven't felt this way in so long. I was just afraid to admit it to you, in case you didn't feel the same"

"Well you being the father of one of my best friends also didn't help" I tell him
"That's is true but this our choice not her's" Elrond tells me,smiling down at me
"You really should smile more,It looks really good on you" I tell Elrond
"Fine but only for you" Elrond says "Can we try that kiss again"
"I see someone found his confidence" I tease.

"Who's going to interrupt us here?" Elrond asks
"True but just in case" I say,I lean up and kiss Elrond on the lips. Its nice to kiss him without an interruption, I feel Elrond put his hands onto my waist and pull me closer to him so there is no space left between us. Strangely enough though as we are kissing, I hear a noise from the other side of the door.

I pull back from Elrond's lips
"Something wrong?" He asks slightly out of breath
"Someone is outside the door" I whisper to him
"I got this" Elrond says,he let's go of me and crosses to the door,he opens the door and Legolas and Eldarion fall on the floor at his feet
"Spies" I say,behind Legolas and Eldarion are Arwen,Aragorn and Lindir.

"Can we help you with something?" Elrond asks the elf's, who all begin to talk at once
"Look let's just get this straight" I say over everyone "Me and Elrond are just working on telling each other our feelings, and yes we like each other"
"I'm happy for you two" Arwen says
"I kept your secret grandad" Eldarion says "I only showed not told
" I tried to stop them with Lindir,but they didn't listen" Aragorn says.

"We will talk about all of this later,for now it is time to eat" Elrond says. Legolas, Aragorn, Lindir and Eldarion all leave the study and Arwen says
"Can you keep the kissing to a minimum"
"I'd except that from Eldarion, not you" I tease her
"I know I just have to get used to it" Arwen says
"Then you and Aragorn keep your kissing to a minimum" Elrond says
"Lets talk more later." I say and the three of us leave Elrond's study and head to get breakfast, I held Elrond's hand the entire time.
