It has now been two years since my family was killed before me by orcs. I am happy with my life in Rivendell but I still suffer from nightmares every so often,of Balg only this time he kills me as well as my family. When I do have these nightmares,I tend to stay awake for the rest of the night and then stay away from everyone the next day. And today is one of those days,I had been awake for half of the night and now I'm outside walking in the sunshine.

I had hoped it would be raining to match my mood,but not today. I'm walking along minding my own business,the sound of voices can be heard upahead of me. Not wanting to see anyone,I turn around and head back the way I had just come. Unfortunately though my plan didn't work,as walking towards me is Elrond. Normally I would be thrilled to see the handsome Lord but not today. I couldn't avoid him as he is too close,so I tried to act happy.
"Y/n I've been looking for you,are you alright?" Elrond asked me.

"I'm fine,why wouldn't I be" I said trying not to look at him. Otherwise he would see that I haven't been getting much sleep
"You can talk to me Y/n" Elrond said
"There is nothing to talk about" I said
"What about the nightmares you have?" Elrond said,this time I did look at him. Concern clear in his blue eyes
"How do you know about that?" I asked him
"I know everything that goes on in Rivendell" Elrond said " Why haven't you said anything?"

"What can be done about nightmares" I said" they are just something that happens,that we cannot prevent"
"That is true but I wish you would have told me,it saddnes me to know that you don't trust me" Elrond said
"I trust y my lord,it's just..."I couldn't think of how to word the next part
"I know what it is like to suffer with nightmares, having been in wars and seeing some horrible things... I know what you are going threw" Elrond said,he took ahold of my hands in his own.

I felt a fluttering sensation in my stomach as Elrond looked down at me
"If you have anymore nightmares Y/n, I want you to come straight to me" Elrond said " I don't care of the time,just come to me and I will help you anyway I can"
"Thank you my lord" I said feeling my self smile for the first time in a long while
"I have missed your smile,it brightens the city up" Elrond said, letting go of one of my hands and his hand coming to rest on my cheek
"I doubt that,Rivendell is bright and beautiful,even without my smile" I said
"That may be true but just you being here with me,makes my day even better " Elrond said.

"I didn't realise my lord is quite the charmer" I said
"There are some other things about me that you don't know Y/n" Elrond said" Perhaps you would care to find out sometime over dinner. Just the two of us" 
Dinner...with Elrond...alone..heck yes
"I'd love to my lord."
