After many months of careful tracking, I have finally located the orc band that had slain my whole family. Some would think I'm a fool to go after the orc's, one elf maiden couldn't hope to stand a chance against orc's. But I had carefully planned and I had learnt to handel a sword and bow and arrow from my father and brother's. Plus I have the advantage of being stealthy and light on my feet,if all goes well I shall have avenged my family.

I crept carefully to the camp where the orcs had settled themselves for the night. There is only ten of them and one of me but I would use my bow and arrow first. I made sure to be far enough away so the orcs wouldn't be able to smell me,and then targeted my first orc and fired. Thankfully the wind is blowing away from me,so that should also help. The arrow struck the orc straight in the chest,and it fell sideways dead. None of the others had noticed,so I reloaded an arrow and targeted the second orc and successfully killed a second one.

It was only then did the others notice the two dead
"What's going on?" One of the orcs asked
"Some filth is out there killing us" a second orc answers, I took aim for a third time,when a horrible smell filled my nose.
"Elf scum" a deep voice said from behind me,I had been found. I turn around and see two other orcs behind me"Oh female elf scum,Balg will be pleased to kill you"
"Not if I kill him first" I said

The two orcs laughed as they forced me to my feet and lead me towards there camp, taking my weapons as we go. Thankfully I have my mother's small dagger hidden in my boot, I am forced to my knees and they make the mistake of not tying my hands up. The leader Balg comes from a nearby cave and stands before me. The images of him killing my father,mother and brother's is still fresh in my mind. Somehow I will find a way to kill him
"Elf scum" Balg said,the other orcs around him cheer" You have killed two of my kin.."
"You slaughtered my whole family" I shouted at him,this just caused the orcs around me to laugh again.

"Then I shall send you to join them" Balg said before he could raise his axe to kill me,he himself is decapitated right before me. As I gaze down at the head of Balg,the ground beneath me begins to shake as horses appear and kill the remaining orcs. One dark grey horse stood close to where I am now stood,I draw the dagger from my boot not knowing if friend or foe is before me
"I can assure you that I will not be easy to kill" I said.
The rider on the horse raises his sword but a new voice says
"Y/n is that you?" I turn and see a dark brown horse behind me,the rider is stood beside the horse
"Lord Elrond,what are you doing here?" I asked .

"Tracking an orc pack that is close to Rivendell,why are you here?" Elrond asked me
"Sort of the same reason you are my lord" I said
"But why would wish to take on orcs on your own?" Elrond asked walking over to me
"They killed my family some months back" I said
"I'm sorry to hear that,I liked your family " Elrond said, my family had been invited to Rivendell a couple of years ago for a celebration and I had found the Lord Of Rivendell to be very wise,kind and very handsome.

"Thank you my lord" I said" I know it was foolish of me to be here but I had to try" I said
"I understand " Elrond said" Come with me back to Rivendell, you are always welcome there" I could go back home,but there are too many painful memories there
"I would like that my Lord"
