It had not occurred to Elijah that you would ever come back into his life,and yet here you are. It had been 100 years since he had last laid eyes on Y/n L/n. She had disappeared one day without a trace, Elijah and his siblings had search everywhere but couldn't find her. Sadly they gave up hope believing she to be dead. Y/n had been sired by Elijah(turned into a vampire) and she had always been loyal to the Mikaeslon's. But the one she was closest to was Elijah. What surprised Klaus, Rebecca and Marcel the most was that Y/n and Elijah never dated.

The two where very close and the two would often been seen together. For a time Klaus believed Elijah to think of Y/n like a sister,but Rebecca said that wasn't the case. The way Elijah looked at Y/n was the look of love,but not of a brother and sister. But that of lovers, Elijah always said after Y/n disappeared that he regretted not being with her. Although he did fear that Klaus might compel her to leave or just kill her. But Klaus liked Y/n and he respected her too much for that. So the time went on and the Mikaelson siblings moved back to New Orleans and Elijah became close to the she wolf Hayle.

She was turned into a hybrid by Klaus and the two of them share a daughter called Hope. Over time Elijah did have feelings for Hayle but she then chose to marry another wolf called Jackson to bring there two packs together. And Elijah moved on from his feelings for Hayle,but Y/n still held a place in his heart. One day by chance the new sister Freya discovered that a witch had been holding a vampire in stasis to keep her self young,and that vampire just happened to be Y/n. She wasn't dead after all. So with Freya's help Elijah and Klaus saved Y/n from the witch and took her back home.

Y/n's P.O.V

It has now been two years since I have been freed from the witches prison and I'm learning about everything that I had missed out on. It surprised me to learn that Klaus has a daughter, I'm happy for him, weirdly I always knew he would make a good father one day. Rebecca had left New Orleans to try and have a normal life,and Marcel is in charge of the vampire community and Elijah is still trying to keep his family together.

I stood on the balcony looking out over the street,I watch the people going about there lives. It is a different era than the last one I was alive in.
"Are you alright Y/n?" A voice asked,I turned and saw Freya standing there
"Yeah I'm alright,still getting used to all this technology and stuff" I said,I stepped back from the windows and moved into the room
"Can I ask you something?" Freya asked
"Sure" I said sitting down on the end of the bed
"What's this thing between you and Elijah?" Freya asked.

"I thought you'd know about that from Elijah himself "I said
"He didn't actually say much" Freya said sitting beside me" Only that the two of you where close along time ago and you helped this family threw some difficult times"
"That's basically it" I said
"But not all though?" Freya said looking at me,I sighed knowing she is right
"Somewhere along the line,my feelings for Elijah changed from friendly to romantic"
"You didn't tell him did you?" Freya asked
"I didn't even know why though "I said.

"But it doesn't matter know,I hear Elijah has some she wolf on his arm now" I add
"That's not true anymore" The voice of Klaus said coming into the room" It seems dear Hayle couldn't handle the darkness in Elijah"
"So she claimed to love him,but as soon as she found out about the darkness in Elijah she couldn't be near him anymore. That was never proper love." I said
"It would seem that way yes" Klaus said" Even after we brought Elijah back from the dead,Hayle couldn't even look at Elijah the same anymore".
"I've not even met this Hayle and I don't like her" I said" If the man you claimed to love came back from the dead,you would except every part of him even the ugly bits"

"What about you Y/n, could you except the dark bits in Elijah?" Klaus asked
"Haven't I already?" I said " I have seen some of that darkness myself and it hasn't changed my feelings for him"
"Feelings that you never told me about?" I look over to the doorway and see Elijah stood there watching us. How much of this had he heard?
