Marinette's  POV:
       I hope you figure out something soon, my love!

         Marinette daydreams about Adrien and the kisses he gave her. She thinks, he loves me!  She is happy to have his love. She also, worries about how to avoid her fiance and keep from marrying him.

     The next day,  "Marinette, your fiance is here to see you!" Tom says.

   "Coming father," Marinette says. She hopes he does not like her.

     "Nice to see you again, Marinette!" Nathaniel says. He winks at her.

     "You know you are so cute," Nathaniel remarks.

      "This will never work because I do not love you!" Marinette says.

    " I can not marry you," Marinette says angrily.

    "I will not marry you, not now, not ever," Marinette yells at him.

    "I love someone else, bye!"  Marinette says and walks away.

       Marinette goes to room, and decides she can not stay home any longer.  She thinks, she must leave soon. She packs some things into a bag.  

   Meanwhile, with Chloe she thinks, what should I do? 

   Chloe's  POV:
  Adrien is happy without me.  I can not ruin that for him.

  Gabriel Agreste's phone rings.  "Yes, this is he!" He says.

   "Who is this?"  Gabriel says into his phone.

   *on the other end  "That is not important.   Call off the wedding between Chloe and Adrien."  Summer says.

   "Mr. Agreste, well what will it be?"  Summer asks.

"Make sure Chloe does not marry, Adrien!  Got it?"  Summer says.

*on the phone

  "My son will never see the woman who has caused our household so much trouble,"  Gabriel says.

  *on the other end

 "Fine, see what happens then when you refuse to listen to my advice,"  Summer says.

   "Good day, Mr. Agreste,"  Summer says and hangs up.

  Back to Marinette, she writes a quick note that reads:

   Dear Father,

 I am sorry to be such a disappointment. I can not marry Nathaniel. 

Tell him the engagement is over.

Love, you got to go!

ps. I can not tell you where I am going, farewell.

   Marinette sets the note down on her bed. She thinks, well here goes nothing. She ties a pink scarf and shawl together.  She ties one end to her wrist and the other end she throws out the window.  She slowly climbs out the window, with her bag in her hand, and lands safely on the ground.

  She removes the scarf and shawl from her wrists and leaves them hidden behind some shrubs.   

 Nino sends Adrien a text

  How did it go with the girl you like?

Shh, this is a secret...

Adrien thinks, hmm, I have to come up with a plan. He decides he knows just what ought to work.

Adrien text
Marinette meet me soon!

    Adrien gets a bag ready, he puts his phone charger, wallet, phone, a few clothes, his toothbrush, and a few other items inside it.  He smiles when he finishes adding the flashlight into the bag along with a few blankets. 

   Adrien uses a crowbar to pry the screen off the window, then the bars. He takes his matress off his bed, opens the window and throws the mattress outside.  He does not bother to write a note.

   He ties his sheets and quilts on his bed together,  and makes a chain so that he can safely leave through it. He grabs up the bag and places it on his back.  He jumps out the window and lands on the mattress below. He gets as far away from the mansion as he can get and thinks, good riddance!

 Back to Marinette's father, Tom he  begins to think, perhaps, I was to hard on her.  He goes to check on Marinette. He does not see her.  "What, she is gone?"  Tom says. He sees the note, and reads it.  

"Oh,no!" Tom screams

 Have you seen, Marinette?  She is missing!

Well,she ran away last night!

Perhaps, I should have known she would not be happy to marry, Nathaniel.

 Marinette does not love this Nathaniel boy. She loves someone else.

Tom's text to Alya

Yes, I know. She left me a note.

    Adrien sees an old abandoned motel and enters it. He figures this should be a good place to hide from his father. 

     Marinette finds an empty log cabin and goes inside, she starts to watch tv, but soon grows tired and falls asleep.

Mr. Agreste wants to speak to his son.  "Natalie tell Adrien to come here, please." Gabriel says.

   Natalie goes to his room, and knocks on the door. She receives no answer. She enters the room, and says, "Adrien your father wishes to speak to you!  Adrien!"  She still gets no answer and panics.

 "Sir, it seems we have  a problem, Adrien is missing!" Natalie says.

 "What do you mean, he is gone?"  Gabriel asks.

"I suggest you search the area outside the mansion, if he is not found, call the police." Gabriel says.

 Narrator/Summer Cheng shakes her head and thinks, I tried to tell him his stubbornness would only lead to trouble. Did Gabriel listen to me?  No

  Narrator/Summer's  POV:
 It serves him right his son ran away.  Can you blame him?  He put bars on his son's bedroom windows for crying out loud!  Who does this?  A power hungry, control freak that is who!

   Gabriel has some serious baggage left from his wife's death. He takes it out on his son. This is out of line, how exactly is this Adrien's fault?

   It was bound to happen, Adrien was bound to run away sooner or later. He could no longer stand the pressure of his father's selfish ways.

Back to the log cabin with Marinette, shh, you did not hear it from me on where she is okay.

   Narrator/Summer: Marinette is awake from her nap, now lets see how she is shall we?

"Ugh, who are you?  Did my father send you?"  Marinette asks.

  Narrator/Summer,   " Calm down Marinette it is just me the narrator of the story."

"Oh, sorry about that then. I am glad my father does my whereabouts though," Marinette says.

  "I got text today, it was from my crush." Marinette says.

  Narrator/Summer,  "Oh, and who might your crush be, Miss Marinette?"

  Marinette giggles.  "As if you did not know, it is Adrien," Marinette says.
