Marinette can not believe she has been married to Adrien for almost a year already.  She takes a pregnancy test while he away at his new job. She hopes to surprise him with some good news for a change. She squeals when it shows two pink lines.

       "Yes we are pregnant," She calls out happily. She feels silly about it since there is no one to respond.

        Marinette wonders what they should do to celebrate this happy moment in their lives. She grabs her purse, climbs aboard her scooter, and goes to the store. Once inside she buys a few things for the baby along with some fabric, some thread, and a sewing machine. The only thing she can not figure out is how to get the sewing machine back to their cottage.

       She watches as the people at the store bag her purchases for her. "Thanks so much," She says.

     "You are welcome, do come again," The store clerk, Missy says.

        Marinette nods her head, grabs up the things, and heads outside. She unlocks the scooter, climbs abord it once more, and adds must of the goods to the small basket on the handlebars. She rides home in style as usual. She might not have a license or a car, but who cares. She is happy and that is all that matters.

     She arrives home a few minutes later. She hides the scooter inside the small garage area Adrien built for her a few weeks ago. She closes it back, then puts everything else away. She sighs as she washes her hands and eats a snack. She thinks any moment now Adrien should be home from his work.

      Adrien arrives home earlier than usual. He can see his wife is in a good mood and smiles over at her.  "Honey, I am home," He calls out.

       He notices Marinette is on the sofa and walks over to her. "So, how is everything, darling?" He asks.

     "Funny, you should mention this," She replies.

         Marinette can tell he has no idea what she is going about now, so she shows him the pregnancy test. She wears gloves though.

       Adrien grins, jumps up and down, then hugs her.  "Yes. there is a baby on board," He says.

        "I am so glad I get to be a father," He says.

      "You are?" Marinette asks.

      "Yes, I mean, I know we planned this for months, so yes, I am so happy," Adrien says.

       "Good, because so am I, dear," Marinette remarks.

           Adrien kisses his wife glad he chose to marry her privately since his father never would have approved of her anyway.  Besides, he can not let his dad control his life forever when he is the one to forbid him from seeing the girl he loves.
