Snowflakes falls until hits to the ground, a boy with burgundy hair and black eyes with white pupils get his shoes on and carry a basket full of coals. as his about to leave, his siblings convince to go with him and he refuse, he don't want to let his siblings get tired from the walk plus is very snowy these season. he bid goodbye to his family, he spot nezuko carrying rokuta sleeping.

"onii-chan" nezuko smiled as she saw her brother about to go

"i just lulled rokuta to sleep, because he'll start making an uproar when he sees you leave"

tanjirou step forward and pet rokuta's head 

"he's just lonely because dad died..."

"yeah he missed dad so much" 

"hm" tanjirou nod and is about to leave

"see later!" as nezuko said this, tanjiou wave and smile. 

tanjirou walk down the snowy mountain until he reach the town. everyone is calling him to buy one of his charcoal. as the sun was about to set, it was dark and he's about to go back to his family and do as he promised his siblings to go back home. until suburo called him to stay since its dangerous to climb up the mountain this dark and demons would showed up at night. at first he decline but saburo insist him to stay since he don't want tanjirou end up getting devoured by demons. tanjirou give up and accepts saburo's invitation. he stayed the whole night and said he can go home when light arises.

next morning he thank and wave goodbye by saburo's kindness by insisting him to stay at night. while he's climbing he heard a scream from the distance. he didn't hesitate as his big brother instinct he drop the basket and run to where the noise came from. until he saw nezuko bleeding in the ground crawling while holding rokuta's dead body. he was about to go get her until a man showed up in suit and step on nezuko's body. tanjirou was furious so he ran up to him about to stop him stepping on his sister. the man sense this so he use his power to stop him. 

tanjirou feel so numb that he can't feel his body. the man let him go dropping him into the ground. tanjirou gasp for air until he notice something. he smell something different from this man 'a demon?!' the man in suit move towards him. 

"oh so you're the eldest one..." the man kneel in front of him and grab his chin to face him

"the hanafuda earrings... so its you" 

"onii-san!" tanjirou hear his sister's crying, he was about to get up until the man pin him down

"AH LET GO OF ME YOU DEMON!" tanjirou head butt the guy in suit and finally he's out of his grasp and run towards to his sister

"what happened?!" 

"this man... h-he kill them all..." nezuko replied, tanjirou look inside of his house and saw his family dead. he was so shock that he didn't hear his sister calling out of him.

"onii-san behind you!" tanjirou turn and saw the man was about to sting him with his hands, he dodge them quick but not for long. the man grab his neck and lift him up.

"you will become a demon"  what is this man saying!? i won't accept! no!

"no! i don't want to!"

the man squeeze his neck, tanjirou struggle for air from the sudden choke. nezuko can't do anything but watch him 'i'm sorry onii-san... i couldn't do anything but watch...' the man drop him and grab his chin facing him again.

"i won't say it again, now you will become a demon"

"and why do i need to become one!?"

"so you could protect your sister eternally"

tanjirou is in deep thought right now, if whether he accept his proposal to become a demon

"no onii-san! think of what he did to our family! don't accept his deal!" nezuko shout as she struggle to get up because of how the snow numbing her body of the coldness. tanjirou look at her for a second and he was deep in thought, he can't make up his mind.

"onii-san don't! i won't forgive you if you accept his-" before nezuko finish her sentence. the man inject tanjirou with his blood. tanjirou wheeze and coughing out blood, tanjirou feel his body change and his mind went crazy the he can't even think except the pain he was feeling right now. nezuko was so scared and struggle to get up because of the snow. she use her remaining energy to run as fast as he can leaving her brother behind. nezuko was so scared that she didn't know what to do, she fell helpless and lonely, seeing her family get killed and her brother become a demon. she can't take the coldness anymore, her legs grew tired and her lungs is freezing. she gave up and kneel crying her heart out, she wasn't able to save her brother all she have to do is cry and freeze to death. until one black hair faded to light green man appear in front of her

"you poor thing" the man kneel down to her level and rub her back

"there there breath" nezuko do what that man said, her breathing steady down until she feels her eyes getting heavier. she fell to the unknown man's form and fell asleep

"she must've have been through rough times" the man looks at her sleepy form

"onii-chan! where are you?"

"over here!" the man who's name gyutaro called out

"who's that? is she a demon?" the lady with long white hair faded to light green hair ask

"i think not, i can sense that she's a human" gyutaro explained

"is that so? hmm..." 

"let's take her" gyutaro stated

"what?! why?!" 

"she's having a rough time plus i can't leave her like this" gyutaro explained 

"hmpf! fine" gyutaro lifted nezuko's body on his back and go somewhere safe for the girl
