Two Puzzle Pieces (Part Two)
Let's not waste time, lets start!
Part two: The Bet:
While Dewey and Webby were in her room before they left:
You know how I said that Huey was reading, and Louie was knitting....well I was wrong! Kinda. Anyway, Louie and Huey were actually knitting together, both sitting on their own favorite colored beds knitting their own thing.(I wrote this before I noticed that they had bunked beds, so I don't feel like changing it, so their beds in my fic are lined up by each other.) But I was right about one thing....Huey is still reading his book......at the same time as knitting?!?
Louie took notice of this while he was knitting. He couldn't ignore how his brother could read from the J.W.G and NOT look while he was knitting, but still knit like a professional! "How in the world...?!?" Louie thought, squinting his eyes at Huey, stunned.
"Um...Huey how are you doing that?!?" He questioned his oldest brother by 3 seconds.
Huey, losing focus on what he was doing, looked at Louie confused. "Huh? What do you mean?"
"What?!? Does he even notice what he was doing?!?" Louie raised one of his eyebrows. "What I'm asking is, how are you reading while knitting?!? You weren't even looking at what you were knitting, but you never messed up once! And why are you reading that boring book anyway?"
Huey eyes widened in realization, "Oh! I guess it's just that I've always read while knitting, that I'm used to it." Huey shrugged while looking at something in his book.
Louie was kinda freaking out now, "B-But how is that even POSSIBLE?!?" He threw his arms in the air, exaggerating a little.
Huey shrugged, now looking at his shocked little brother. "I guess that anything's possible when you read the J.W.G!" He exclaimed, picking up his now closed book, then kissing the cover, with his knitting supplies still siting in his lap.
Louie was just shocked. Huey depended on that book way too much! Huey pretty much loves his book as much as Louie loves his phone!
Before Louie could say something about Huey's book, Dewey kicked open their door with his foot, with Webby behind him. "I curse Webby for teaching him that!" Huey thought, hugging his book, glaring at Dewey and Webby in the door way.
"...Guys!..." Dewey sounded out of breath, which to his brothers must of meant that he was running. ".....Ok....I'm good now! Anyway, I wanted to give ya'll a heads up that Webby and me are going hang out with Lena. Just letting ya'll know, just in case Uncle Donald ask where we are. Don't want him freaking out.....cause we all know how he gets!" Dewey chuckled nervously, thinking what his Uncle would do. His brothers shivered at the thought, never moving from their comfortable beds.
Huey couldn't help but correct Dewey, he started to count with his fingers. "First, I can't help myself sorry, but it's 'Webby and I,' and second, ok, just be careful! Webby keep a good eye on him please!" Huey instructed, pointing at Webby, then at Dewey. Dewey rolled his eyes and folded his arms.
Webby saluted at Huey "Yes sir! Come on Dewey let's go, Lena is still waiting!!!" Webby started to run down stairs, thinking that Dewey is following her.
Before Dewey left to follow her, he froze, still in the doorway after hearing Louie. "Have fun with your girlfriend!" Louie smirked, wiggling his fingers goodbye at Dewey, teasing him about Webby.
"S-she's not-" Dewey was cut off by Webby, who came back to get him, pulling his arm. "COME ONNNNNN! How many times do I have to tell ya, LENA'S WAITING!!!!!!" She shouted, pulling his arm, and then slamming the door behind them.
Dewey shouted at Louie, blushing while being pulled by the irritated girl duck. "This conversation isn't over Louis!"
Louie rolled his eyes, while still smirking, shouting back at Dewey. "Oh dear brother, I think it is.....and I WON!" Louie evil laughed to himself triumphantly.
Huey shook his head at his brother, laughing to himself.
"Ahhh" Louie relaxed on his bed after putting his knitting supplies under his bed. He pulled his phone out of his pocket, remembering what he was about to tell his psycho reading brother, before Dewey barged in.
Huey just finished putting his knitting kit away when Louie stated, "You know something, you are really attached to that book. You never leave it laying around, and you ALWAYS have it! You keep it in your hat, just in case! I bet that you wouldn't even last a DAY without that thing!" Louie chuckled, still looking at his phone, thinking that he was pointing at Huey, but he was actually just pointing at Huey's bed.
Huey was now sitting on his bed facing Louie. He had his book in his hands still, now dropping it on his bed. "Psshh, whattt! No I don't always have it!" Huey chuckled nervously in a high pitched voice. "I never touch it when I'm eating at the table, unlike you! You ALWAYS have your phone! You never take yours eyes off that thing, unless you are asleep, or knitting!" Huey folded his arms.
Louie was 'cool upset'(you are awesome if you know what I mean! if not.....you are still awesome!) that he was bringing his beloved phone into this. "WHAT?!? For starters, at least I don't SLEEP with my phone! You even tuck your book into your bed with you!!! I mean....who does that?!? And second! Don't bring Peridot into this!!!"(It's because it's a green phone....you get it!...no...oh ok...I'll just let you continue...) Louie got off of his bed, put his phone in his pocket, walked to Huey's bed, and poked Huey on the chest.
"You named your PHONE?!?" Huey smacked his forehead. "That proves that you are obsessed with it!" Huey pointed out, now standing up as well.
"Yes, of course I named my phone!.....You know what.....I bet that I can last longer without my phone!" Louie shouted 'cooly' at Huey.
Huey smiled with determination, "Heh, ok! I see how it is!.....And I bet that I can go longer without my book!"
Louie was slightly surprised that Huey was going through with this bet. "Alright, and if I win...." Louie thought for a moment. "You have to dress up as me for a day!" Louie smiled slyly.
Not bad! But if I win, you have to dress up as me, and act as me for a day as well!" Huey said, confident that he would win.
"You just stole my idea?" Louie put his hands in his pockets, raising his eyebrows.
"Yea I know, but to be honest, it was a good idea!" Huey admitted.
"I'll take that as a compliment." Louie smiled "So we have a deal or what?" Louie asked, holding out one of his hands.
"It's a deal!" Huey exclaimed.
They shook each other's hands, while they both were thinking.....
"You are so going down!"
