Two Puzzle Pieces: Part 6:

The competition:

Donald and Scrooge are on the docks, waiting on LaunchPad:

"Where is the lad? I thought I told him tu meet us here at 2?!" Scrooge looked at his watch, tapping his foot impatiently.

Donald leaned over Scrooge's shoulder trying to get a good look at his Uncle's watch, feeling like a child all over again. He raised an eyebrow questioning Scrooge, "But it's only 1:47? We got here early remember."

"Of course I remember!" Scrooge snapped. "I'm just confused to why the lads not here yet. He usually shows up early! Or on time at the very least!" Scrooge looked back at his clock on his wrists, grumbling to himself.

Before Donald could say anything, they got splashed by a wave of water. They looked up angrily about to go off on whoever it was.

"Oh sorry Mr. McDee! Sorry Donald!" The one and only LaunchPad has finally arrived, looking charming as ever.

"LaunchPad! What took ye so long?!" Scrooge threw his arms and cane up in the air, frustrated....and soaked!

Donald was ringing his soaked hat out, quacking angry noises that no one could understand at the moment.

"Yea...uh sorry about that Mr. McDee, I got caught up in this Darkwing Duck episode, and I had to finish it ya know." LaunchPad chuckled nervously. "Anyway, here's the boat you asked for." He smiled, showing off the boat that he steered there. Not a single dent on it to Scrooge and Donald's surprise.

"Whatever, let's just get going!" Scrooge grabbed Donald and dragged him onto the boat, just like he used to do in the old days.

"So, where to?" LaunchPad questioned with a simple smile, holding onto the wheel.

"Just look at this map and steer!" Scrooge out the map in front of LaunchPad, who took it from him and scanned over it quickly. They finally started to move.

Donald breathed in the salty air. "Ahhh just like old times." He smiled, he was trying to untangle the hooks.

Seeing Donald struggling, Scrooge approached him, asking gently, "Ye need any help lad?"

"Nah I'm pretty sure I got this, you go sit back and do whatever it is you do." Donald answered, with a hint of rudeness.

Scrooge could see Donald struggling with the hooks, he could tell that Donald was becoming frustrated, so before Donald could start quacking again, Scrooge asked one more time.

"Are ye sure ye got it lad...it looks like ye need some help?" Scrooge frowned.

"I got it." Donald snapped. He was about to stand up and get something, but he didn't notice that one of the lines were wrapped around his foot. So when he got up, he tripped and fell.

He looked so angered now. His whole face and body turned red in the matter of seconds. Donald started to quack, kick, and roll around, making himself even more tangled in the process.

Scrooge didn't want to be rude, but he couldn't help but laugh at his nephew's situation.

Donald stopped moving and breathed, trying to calm himself down. He looked at Scrooge, who was still laughing his tail off.

Scrooge walked up to him all tangled up, he stood over him, smirking amusingly. "Do ye need me help now?"

Donald rolled his eyes.

"I'll take that as eh yes." Scrooge started to untangle his nephew. "There, all better!"

"I'm not a kid anymore you know, I could of handled it." Donald pouted, folding his arms, now sitting on his butt.

"Sure yer not!" Scrooge nodded his head slowly, looking down at Donald one last time, then walked away slightly chuckling to himself about Donald pouting just like when he was 10.

"What's that supposed to mean!?" Donald stood up, brushing off his shirt.

"Oh nothing." Scrooge dug into the ice chest where the wish were going to go, looking for the bait.

"This is your captain speaking!" LaunchPad pretended like he was a captain of a cruise ship, even though the others were right by him. "We have reached our destination....wherever that is." Donald looked out into the ocean, they were in the middle of no where, all he could see for miles was blue water

"Don't werry, we are at me secret fishing spot!" Scrooge winked. "Ye could catch practically anything out here!" He smiled, looking at the beautiful water. "Plus, it's also closer tu where me camp is that we will be staying at."

"Wait a minute...CAMP! we are staying at your camp!? I thought we were only doing this trip for one day! The boys! What about the boys Scrooge?!" Donald shouted, and started to shake Scrooge like a maraca. "They can't be left that long! What if they get kidnapped while I'm gone, or-or-"

"LAD! Ye werry tuu much!" He took Donald's hands off of his shoulders. "Mrs. Beakley's there, an' I have the highest security ever! Nothing's getting in or out! Plus, we have Duckworth, he's like our own guard dog in the night." Scrooge smiled.

Donald snarled at Scrooge for lying to him. "How long is this trip going to last anyway?" Donald his arms, glaring at his Uncle.

"As long as the competition last." Scrooge was walking back n' forth, trying to get things set for when they began to fish.

Donald followed Scrooge's movements. "And how long will that last exactly." Donald was growing impatient.

"As long as it has tu last." Scrooge said simply.

"So what your saying is that this thing could last a week?!" Donald put his hands on his head, almost in panic mode.

"Well yes, an' no. It could last 2 weeks, or longer! But i'm pretty sure this one will only last a week." Scrooge was fiddling with the shrimp, trying to position it on the hook correctly.

Donald was hyperventilating, pacing back and forth. "WHAT?!? This better at least last a week! I have to see my kids again! Or I'll-I'll be swimming home!"

Scrooge sighed, "Donald!" He shouted over Donald's quaking.

Donald paused and looked at him, with wide worried eyes. "What?!" Scrooge winced, holding his fishing pole, that was already casted out into the water, he was sitting comfortably on one of the chairs, that was turned towards the ocean.

"Come sit down an' fish, it's relaxing, an' I think ye need it right now." Scrooge cringed, looking Donald up and down. He was a mess!

Donald stared at his Uncle for a moment, like he grew ears or something.(I'm sorry, I just had to! XD)

He hesitated at first, but sat down on one of the chairs besides Scrooge, and grabbed his fishing rod, put the bait on, then casted the line out to sea.

"Heh...I forgot how relaxing this was." Donald smiled gently, his tense body soon began to relax a bit.

"Yea, no wonder ye moved intu a houseboat." Scrooge smiled calmly, looking at his and Donald's reflections in the water, he saw the opposite of what Donald might have been seeing. What he saw was him, Donald, and Della when they were younger. They were smiling, looking down at the water, fascinated by their reflection, pointing at each other, and Scrooge.....he was smiling, a smile that he hasn't seen himself do in a long time.

"Hey Mr. McDee, is it ok if I take my lunch break now." LaunchPad said, pointing to the chest full of food, interrupting Scrooge's memories.

Scrooge looked up at him. "Oh...eh yea, sure." Scrooge looked back down, just seeing only him and Donald now. He frowned. "Where have the times gone?" He sighed to himself sadly.

"Hey I got one!!" Donald yelled joyfully. He was trying to reel the fish in, standing up.

"At a lad! Come on, reel em' in!" Scrooge stood up, getting a better view of the fish.

Donald, after all that pulling and reeling, finally was holding the fish up, smiling at it victoriously. "Ha! Yes! One down-" Scrooge finished his sentence.

"And a lot more tu go!" He patted Donald's back, "At a lad! Ye sure caught a beauty there!" Scrooge said, studying the fish.

"Aren't you going to weigh it or something?" Donald asked, still holding the fish up, dangling and swishing it's tail back n' forth, water slightly splashing on his shirt.

"Eh I don't believe in all that stuff! Just by looking an' holding it is a better way tu do all that stuff!" Scrooge opened the chest filled with just ice.

"Now put em' in here." Scrooge motioned. "But first, take em' off the hook." Scrooge instructed.

Donald started to fiddle with the hook in the fishes mouth, finally getting it off, the fish started to flop in his arms. Donald tried to not let the fish slip out of his hands, but it was too late, the fish landed safely back into the water, upsetting Donald, who was leaning over the boat.

"OH COME ON!" He yelled at the fish. The fish swam up and spit water in Donald's face, before swimming away.

"Of course! Just my luck!" Donald threw his hat on the ground and started stumping on it, quaking to himself once again.

Scrooge was just sitting back watching the scene unravel, he just chuckled. It reminded him of one of his own sisters when he and her were little.

"What's so funny! We just lost our first fish, and it's almost sundown!" Donald snatched up his hat and dusted it off.

"Eh lad, ye just remind me of one of me sisters is all." He lifted his hat and rubbed through his hair.

"You mean my mom?" Donald frowned.

Scrooge nodded his head. "She'd act just like you whenever I'd beat her at something, which was practically everything." He chuckled again.

"Oh..." Donald put his hat back on and sat back down, and casted his line out once more.

"Not giving up I see." Scrooge admired Donald's determination. "Well that's another thing ye an' yer mother have in common." (Idk Donald's mom well, cause I never watched the old version...I'm just going off of what I heard of her.....oh and Ik he has another sis...I JUST found that out, so I changed a few parts)

"She also never gave up on taking care of us..." Donald trailed off, smiling softly, looking at his reflection.

"True, but she had help." Scrooge winked.

"Who?" Donald asked, acting clueless.

"Hey!"

"I'm joking!" Donald laughed.

"Ye better be!" Scrooge smirked.

Out in the middle of no where this big wave crashed against there boat, rocking them out of there seats.

"I think we have company sir." LaunchPad said, pointing up at a big yacht over shadowing their old tiny boat.

Scrooge and Donald followed to where he was pointing. He was pointing towards this sold gold yacht that was the size of the Titanic, maybe a little smaller. The water was shimmering against it with the light hitting the boat, making the boat sparkle. It was almost blinding.(I'm not good when it comes to describing what people or things look like lol! XD)

"Who on earth could that be?!" Scrooge scolded, looking up, squinting a tad.

Donald was shading his eyes, "Maybe Gladstone." Donald suggested, rolling his eyes.

There was a figure standing at the top of the boat, looking down at them. "It sure doesn't look like Gladstone!" Scrooge mumbled.(hehehe HERE'S SURPRISE NUMBER ONE....COME ON YOU SHOULD OF GOT IT BY NOW...I HINTED IT IN THE BOAT DESCRIPTION!)

The figure started to shout down at them. "Oh don't tell me you forgot about me Sourdough?!" It was a woman's voice, he recognized it too...."It can't be?!"

"Goldie O' Gilt?!" He stood up surprised, his beak a gape. (EEEKKK! BOOM! One more surprise...which I doubt you would of guessed! XD)

"The one and only!" She smirked down at him. The sun was setting a bit, so he could see her more clearly now.

"Long time no see honey?" She flirted in her sweet tone.

"But how?!" He shouted.

"Oh I thought I'd come out for once and try out this fishing competition, sadly I had to leave my poor ole' Blackjack at home. But at least I made a friend through out my trip here, and I brought her along with me as well. Flower, can you come here please." She yelled off onto the boat. (Here's surprise number two....her nickname is a hint!!! HEHEHE! XD)

Donald was still on his butt, but what he saw next made him scramble to his feet.

"Donald?!" The women exclaimed, beaming down at him.

"D-DAISY?!" He almost fainted, Scrooge had to hold him up.(HAHAHA  that's the surprises! XD)

"Oh! So you two know each other! Awww cute! Goldie squealed a bit.

Scrooge slightly groaned, "So yer our competition? I'm surprised Flinty hasn't hasn't found me yet!" He rolled his eyes, even though deep down he was so happy to see his loved one again; oh how he missed her.

"Competition! Ha! I'm pretty sure we already won Sourdough." She smirked. Scrooge playfully rolled his eyes.

Goldie caught a glimpse of LaunchPad. "Oh and I'm assuming this is your captain?" She motioned to LaunchPad, who was now tangled in the fishing lines.

LaunchPad tipped his hat at her, "Nice to meet you ma'am!" He smiled.

"Oh cute and a gentlemen! Scrooge you could learn a few things from this one!" She smirked, making LaunchPad blush a little.

"Aww shucks!"

Scrooge rolled his eyes at Goldie's act. Slightly jealous. "It's nice tu see ye tuu Goldie, now can ye please go, cause ye already wasted out time, an' now we have to head to our camp." He folded his arms, smirking.

"I can see you never changed." She smiled.

"Same goes fer you." He said quietly, as they started to steer away. She flritterly waved goodbye to him.

Donald was shyly waving back at Daisy.

"Alright lad, It's time fer bed!" He smiled at Donald's goofy grin, and blushing face. Oh he was not ready for the triplets to be in this stage! He couldn't even handle his own love life at the moment...what makes the world think he could handle three more....oh right, he forgot Donald...make that 4 more! He didn't have to worry about Webby, Mrs. Beakley got her covered! All he had to say is good luck to one of the triplets if one of them were ever to fall in love with her....they had to get passed Mrs. Beakley's approval!

He looked up at the brightest star, thinking of Goldie, "Oh how I missed Ye..." He smiled dreamily.
