He first met Superman after his battle with Frieza,Superman had killed Doomsday on Yadrat.Goku sparred with Supes,initially unable to win until he switched into Super Saiyan in an unstable fashion.He beat Supes.Currently he is alive because the Buu Saga happened,though Vegito had a bit of an tougher time than his non-New 52 counterpart because New 52 Buu could force the people he's absorbed to transform.Other than that,the only thing left to do for them is to wait for Beerus.
