Winter Wolf and I had an amazing time judging the last Star Wars x Lord of the Rings contest, so I decided to have another one this year!

We're going to do the contest a little different this time than we did last year, so pay attention! (Don't worry we actually made the rules a bit easier this time)

Rules & important info

1. If you already have a Star Wars/ Lord of the Rings book you may enter it in this contest.
If you don't then you can write one to enter! Just comment and tell me that you want to enter the contest

2. Unfortunately the winning stories from last year can't be entered unless you have updated it with 5 or more chapters than you had when you entered it last time. And the same authors can enter another book!!! 😊

3. Entries can take place during any time period of Middle Earth and Star Wars both cannon and non cannon

4. OC's are allowed

5. Please try to make a story that matches the prompt

6. No language!
If it was in Star Wars or Lord of the Rings, then it's okay. But if it's anything that is not in Star Wars or Middle Earth:
"You shall not pass!"

7. Violence is allowed, just nothing too gory please

8. Please keep all romance PG / kid friendly
Once again if it was in Star Wars or The Lord of the Rings then it's okay.

9. All types of stories are welcome, as long as it fits the guidelines. If you want to write a romance that focuses on the love story of a couple, that's fine. If you prefer action or adventure that's fine. Whatever you want.

10. One Shots are welcome.

11. All lengths of stories are welcome, but if a story is incomplete, it must be at least 5 chapters.

12. If you want to enter more than one story, you can! The more Star Wars/Lord of the Rings fanfics the better!

13. (This is not required but:) tag your story #starwars/lordoftherings #sw/lotr #lotr/sw #lordoftherings/starwars so that people who are looking for these types of stories (like me) can find them.

14. If you want to do this contest, but you don't have any ideas. Feel free to ask for suggestions. (Also, last year there were a lot of people who backed out of this contest because they couldn't come up with anything or didn't understand the concept, so I'm going to have several chapters with writing prompts and ideas following this one if anyone wants inspiration. I will also have writing prompts with more detailed story outlines that you can use in my"Reylo Writing Prompts" book)

15. Last time we had a deadline of 3 months, but I realized that since most people had to write a story to enter, it was bit too short, so we just decided to keep the contest open longer. (This will give everyone more time to get their stories ready and more time for us to spread the word.)

16. Please add this book to your library and public reading list to receive updates

17. This year there will be prizes for all participants as well as 1st 2nd and 3rd place winners (I know that most participants have to work harder to enter this contest than others, because most entries were written specifically for this contest and I think they all deserve something for their hard work and amazing stories!)

18. We're sorry, but we can only accept English entries because we can't read any other languages right now.
