Family Arc : Uncle Thor

"Remember to feed him before bed and change his pull-ups if he has an accident," Sally told her lovers older brother, Percy held onto his mother's arms as she held him in her arms. "He has his pajamas on the restroom counter ready after he takes a bath-"

"Do not worry Lady Sally, the child will be safe in my care," Thor reassured the worried mother. It has been a long time since Sally and Loki had a night to themselves, especially with the miracle they had brought to the world, so they had planned a date for them. On such a short notice, nobody could babysit. Sally didn't feel safe with a random stranger watching her demigod son, no matter how credible they were, that is till Loki suggested his older brother.

"It is not Percy I am worried about," Loki joked. "Your belongings are by the table." He pointed to the leather bag having off the chair back. "There's food for both of you, Perseus has a specific bowl with food that's just for him, understand?" Thor nodded with a smile. "Your food is in the big silver bowl on the table."

"Go and enjoy your evening together, young Perseus and I will have some quality time together," Thor said as he was handed the small child.

"Bye Percy, be good ok?" Sally smiled and rubbed his cheek.

"We'll be back later, my child," Loki spoke to his son in his brothers arms. Although he knew that Thor would do whatever to keep Percy safe and out of harms way, he still felt uneasy.

"Bye bye mommy, bye bye daddy," Percy waved his hand at his parents who left.

When the door closed and all that was in the room was Percy and Thor, Percy started to cry. His eyes welled up with tears that fell down his face. Percy grabbed a hand full of Thor's midgardan clothes and cried. To the little two year old boy, he had thought his mother and father left him alone with a man whom he had never meet before. It was scary for a child. Thor looked down to the child in his arms and frowned at the tears that fell on his shirt from his nephew. He wiped the tears away with his thumb and walked to the living room.

Percy asked quietly to be put down and Thor happily obliged when Percy went to the toy box under the window. He rummaged through the miscellaneous toys of hot wheels, Legos, Light sabers, and various other things when he pulled out a foam sword from the bottom. He trotted over to Thor and gave him the toy then went back to the box and pulled out a foam scepter.

Thor looked weirdly at the scepter that Percy had, his immediate thought when he had seen it was, was Loki trying to teach him at an early age? The boy is still quite young to learn magic, but I see why not.

"Perseus," Thor called. Percy turned around and looked at him with his big green eyes. "Where did you get that scepter?"

"Mommy and Daddy made it for me," Percy said smiling. "I wanna be like Daddy and do magic!" A bright big smile erupted on the boys face. "I can do a wittle bit." Percy trotted back over to Thor and put the scepter on the ground next to him before extending his arms out, palms facing up. He concentrated with all his might and a small and quick little 'puff' of virdigris magic came from Percy's hands. "See! I did it!"

"That you did, young perseus," Thor smiled. "But it is no match for me! The great and powerful god of thudner!" Thor got up of the couch and pointed the foam sword at the two year old.

"I can beat you! I have magic!" Percy said and picked up his scepter. "Wait!" Rummaging through the toy box once again, he gave Thor a plastic army helmet and (tried) to put on a cloak. "Can you help me?" Thor helped him with the button and continued playing with him.

Once Percy's cloak was secured around his neck, they began to play. While they played, Thor was named the consumer. He had tried to take the magical crystal Nemo and use the power for a horrible thing. To eat all of the pop tarts in the world. But fortunately the great sorcerer Perseus was there! The used his magic to defeat the evil man and to save the crystal Nemo.

With one last invisible spell, Thor the consumer fell in defeat. "My powers! They have been taken! I am defeated, I could not beat the great Perseus!" He closed his eyes and stuck his out pretending to be dead. Percy laughed and hit him in the face with his scepter. Although Percy hit him with all his might, it didn't hurt the god. It felt like a little pinch on his check. "Uncle Thor, I'm hungry."

"Then it's time to feast!" Thor exclaimed sitting up and picking the child up in his arms to girl the kitchen.

When he entered the kitchen he saw the big silver bowl of food for him and knew that it was all his, but finding Percy's might be a bit more difficult. He can't remember if Sally or Loki even told him where the plate of food for Percy was.  He looked through the cabinets and the around the counters. The table only had his food and the didn't know how to open the white metal box next to the refrigerator. Percy pointed to the metal box, he knew that's where his food was because he saw his mother put it in there when she was cooking, but Thor didn't pay attention to him.

"Not now Young Perseus, I am trying to find your food," Thor says. Percy frowned, "it's in the micwoave."

      "The what?"

      "Micwoave "

       "What's that?"

"It's over there." He pointed again to the white metal box that still confused the god. "I can open it."

       "Then open it"

"Put me down please" and that is what Thor did. He set the two year old on the ground and he went to the kitchen table. He pushed a chair (with the help of Thor) over to the microwave and climbed in top (again with some assistance.) when he could see the microwave, he lifted his arm up and pushed the button that would eject the door. When he did that, he didn't know that when he did he'd get hit by the door.

"Wahhhh!" Percy cried as the door hit him in the eye.

"What happened?" Thor said rushing to his injured nephew. He knelt down in front of the chair and examined Percy's face, his left eye was a slight purple and was getting puffy. "Did the door hurt you?" He nodded. "I see, well let's find some ice to lower the swelling of your eye, then we can eat. Where would the ice be?"

Percy pointed to the bottom of the fridge where the freezer was. "On-On the le-left is the I-ice thi-things." He stuttered, his breath still uneven from crying.

When Thor found the ice packs, grabbed a kitchen rag from the table and wrapped it around the pack and placed it on Percy's eye. Then he grabbed the plate of food in the microwave and set it on the high chair at the front of the table. Grabbing Percy, he placed said child in the high chair. "Do you still want to eat?" Percy shook his head. He didn't fell like eating, he just wanted to go to sleep with his mother singing him a lullaby and his father tucking him in. "Would you like to sleep?" He nodded.

Thor carried the sleepy child to the restroom and started the bath while Percy undressed. He sat in the tub and let his uncle wash him for he couldn't yet, and once he finished he got dried and put on his Spongebob pull-ups and his bubble guppy pajamas and fell asleep.

When Loki and Sally returned home, they saw a plate of uneaten food for Percy, toys scattered across the living room, the microwave wide open, and Thor eating his dinner. "You're back! How was your evening together?"

"It was wonderful, is Percy asleep?" Sally asked placing her bag on the coffee table. Thor nodded. "I am going to go check on him."

Loki day on the couch and looked at his sons toys laying about the floor, "Percy got hurt didn't he?"

"A simple accident that I did not know would happen," Thor confesses. "He opened the 'microwave' and the door hit him in the face. I'm sorry I could protect him from injuries."

"It is alright, I knew this would happen, it was bound too when I decided for you to watch him," Loki said as Sally walked to them.

"Why does Percy have a black eye?" Sally asked.

"He got hit by the microwave door, it was an accident," Loki answered. "Thor confessed and it was true."

"Ok, anyway, thank you so much for taking care of Percy while Loki and I had some time together," Sally looked to the god still eating.

"No problem! It was fun to spend time with young Perseus, he even called me uncle Thor!" Thor smiled and stood up. "I should get going, father needs me for something I do not know of."

With that Thor left the apartment and he went to the roof where heimdal teleported him back to Asgard.
