Here is a picture of what I think Zorander would look like ^^

This chapter starts after Raziel eats lunch in the cafeteria with Kai and his newfound friends but before their date in the evening.

Raziel's POV

"Demon!" I yell as I slam Zorander's office door shut; he doesn't even look up from his papers. "I have a problem! I'm being threatened by a human!"

Zorander lets out a throaty laugh. "And what is this to me? You do know I have a school to run."

I slump down in the chair opposite him. "Yes, but I'm sure my personal turmoil is more interesting than staring at your papers," I mutter sulkily.

"Valid point." Zorander smirks and gestures for me to continue.

"My human is being pursued by another." I let out an exasperated sigh. I hate Jax! Pesky human!

"I don't see how that's a problem. Surely you would have connected a bond after they declared their undying love for you. You know how limiting bonds with humans are," Zorander drawls.

"He's only known me for two days," I reply sheepishly.

Zorander's laughter booms through the air and his usually bored to death, black eyes sparkle with amusement.

"This isn't funny!" I exclaim, crossing my arms. Zorander only laughs harder.

"This certainly is better than paperwork," Zorander forces out through laughter.

I glare at his irritating face which only seems to spur on another fit of laughter. "I think it's time to banish you," I say through gritted teeth, my angelic aura pulsing.

Zorander immediately stops laughing. "I should get back to my paperwork then." His voice cracks but he still has that stupid smirk on his face.

I groan and rub my forehead. "Fine, laugh all you want."

I literally watch the annoying demon laugh at me for the next five minutes before it seems like he has gotten it out of his system. "Are you done?" I question, glaring at him.

"Why did you connect the bond so early?" Zorander says trying and failing to contain his amusement.

I let out an exasperated sigh. "He's just so cute and kind and perfect. How could I resist him? I thought it was possible that I would eventually want to connect a bond with him but I didn't think that it would happen so soon! It's just that I upset him and because he was upset I actually thought I was going to die from heartache! Then I stood out in the cold for hours waiting fo-" I am interrupted by ﹰZorander's laughter yet again.

"Happy I can entertain you," I mutter and glare at him.

"Continue, please. This is highly entertaining," Zorander says with a huge smile plastered to his face. I narrow my eyes. He's way too amused by this situation.

"When I woke up after passing out he kissed me and I just knew that it was time. I wanted him; I needed to make him mine. I just couldn't resist him any longer so I pulled him back to me and kissed him."

"And you've only known him for two days?" Zorander inquires, disbelief evident in his voice.

"I met him on Friday night but he's been talking to my star for months," I reply and Zorander hums a response.

After a brief moment of silence, Zorander suddenly gets a murderous gleam in his eyes. "I could get rid of the human pursuing your human. It's been a really long time since I've killed," Zorander says, licking his lips in anticipation.

"The human is annoying but I can't kill him. And, you do know that if you did kill any human I have a duty to banish you to hell or kill you. The primary reason I haven't is because your existence here doesn't cause severe harm to the humans," I say sternly.

"And the secondary?"

"Who will I rant to?" I answer, rolling my eyes at his self-assured smirk.

"Do something for your human then," Zorander suggests, leaning back in his chair. I frown at him and he continues, "Something humany, like a date."

"Oh I've seen dates on the magic box!" I exclaim and sit up in my chair.

Zorander let's out a sharp laugh and I raise my eyebrow at him. "I'm just wondering if I should tell you what your magic box is called but I won't."

I glower at him and he ignores me, reaching into his desk and pulling out a large rectangle. He walks around the desk and opens the rectangle in front of me. "This is even more magic than the magic box. You can look for date ideas using this. Just type in what you want to look for and it will come up. This is called a dildo."

I hum a response and move my chair closer to the desk. "Your dildo isn't working! And everything requires money," I say after an hour of quietly searching.

Zorander snickers before he responds. "What is something your human does often?"

"Procrastinate on homework," I reply instantly.

Zorander bursts out laughing and shakes his head. "No, try again."

I think for a second then say, "Video games! He likes shooting games and zombies!"

Zorander mulls over that for a few minutes then gives me a map and says, "I have paintball guns at home so your human can shoot my duplicates. I'll even dress up as a zombie. Meet me at this address."

"And why are you willing to help?" I ask, narrowing my eyes.

"I get to scare a human," Zorander replies with a shrug.

It does sound like something Kai would like especially because Zorander's duplicates would go up in smoke which would probably be impressive to a human. "If he gets too scared you'll call back your duplicates?"

"Yes."

I spend the rest of time waiting for school to finish so that I can take Kai on his date. Zorander and I plan the logistics of our paintball game and of course I threaten to end him if he hurts Kai in any way.

The paintball game was actually quite fun but the passionate kiss afterwards was even better.

"Raz?" Kai asks after our kiss with a puzzled look on his face. "How did you get the zombies to disappear into black smoke?"

"Finally! I thought you'd never ask!" Zorander's exasperated voice sounds from behind Kai.

My eyes shift from Kai's to the bothersome demon standing a few feet away and I glare at him.

Kai turns around and on seeing Zorander, who's still dressed like a zombie, he screams and shoots him twice in the head with the paintball gun.

I burst out laughing at Zorander's irritated paint covered face and sling one of my arms over Kai's shoulder, pressing a quick kiss to his temple.

"Control your human," Zorander grunts, wiping the paint that is now dripping down over his eyes.

"I thought we agreed that you would leave after we shot the last of your duplicates," I say, still a bit amused.

Zorander moves closer to us and smirks. "But then I wouldn't get to meet the human great enough to get Raziel to b-"

"Yes, this is the human that I'm dating," I interrupt before Zorander can say anything about the bond.

Zorander frowns and mutters so only I can hear, "you didn't tell him about the bond?"

I shake my head and Zorander shrugs. "I'm Zorander Ryu, principal of Agma High. I'm sure Raziel has told you I'm a demon."

"Hi principal Ryu," Kai responds in a surprisingly calm manner. "I'm sorry I shot you just now. I was a little startled," Kai finishes with a giggle.

Zorander stares at Kai curiously and even I'm surprised by how well he's handling this.

"Aren't you scared?" Zorander snarls at Kai and we both hear an uptick of his heart beat but other than that my human remains unfazed.

"A little but your face is covered in fluorescent green and lilac paint," Kai says, giggling again. "Thanks for helping out Zor!" Kai beams at Zorander.

"Rander. You forgot the rest of my name," Zorander replies, frowning at Kai.

Kai giggles and shakes his head. "No silly! It's a nickname! You're Zor and Raziel is Raz or Razzy!"

Zorander's frown deepens before he turns to me and smirks. "So Razzy."

"Call me that again and I won't hesitate to send you back to hell," I threaten glowering at him.

Kai giggles, drawing both of our attention to him. "Can we go somewhere else and talk? I'm getting cold." Kai pouts and bats his eyelashes at me and my heart tries to jump out of my chest at his cuteness. I smile at him and nod.

Kai takes my outstretched hand and we walk towards the car.

Fun Fact About Zorander: Originally, he wasn't going to have such a big role in the book. He was just going to have a very short scene with Raziel where Raziel threatened to send him back to hell if he caused trouble on earth. But the scene turned out to be a lot longer than I expected and I ended up loving his character more than I thought I would. So, I decided that it might be fun to have a recurring supernatural creature that Raziel can interact with.
