Ryker walked into the hospital room where Talia was and sat down next to her, taking her hand in his "How are you feeling?"

She smiled as she looked down at his hand holding hers and placed her other hand on top of his "I'm feeling relieved, relieved that this is all over."

"Me too hun, I spoke with the doctor, he said that everything is fine and that the baby is OK. He also said that you can go home, he's getting the discharge papers ready to go right now."

He looked at her and stood up wrapping his arms around her "I was so scared." he says running his fingers down through her hair "I don't know what I would have done if something bad happened to you and our baby." He felt himself tear up a little and kissed the top of her head, he pulled back cupping her face and placed a kiss on her lips. "Let's get you home."

Talia signed the discharge papers while Ryker called Marcus for a ride. Andrea walked into the room as Talia was signing her papers "Thank God this is over." She sighed in relief.

"You're telling me." She handed the paperwork back to the nurse and grabbed her things to leave. "Let's go find Ryker, I want to get out of here."

They were walking down the hallway and had ran into Ryker, he was on the phone and had a look on his face that Talia didn't like seeing. "Let's get Talia home and we will discuss this tomorrow." Ryker had said to the person he was on the phone with before hanging up.

"Marcus is on his way, let's go wait for him outside."

"Who was that on the phone?" Talia curiously asked as they headed out the doors.

"Marcus."

"Why did you look worried while you were talking to him?"

Ryker leaned against the pillar outside crossing his arms. He didn't know how to tell her that her father was going to be taken in for questioning. Looking away from her he let out a groan and looked down to the ground. "I'm suppose to bring your dad in first thing tomorrow." he said quietly while running his hand down his face, holding onto his chin.

"Bring him in... for what?"

"Let's not talk about this here, there's more to this story than you know. I'm just debating if it's something that I should be telling you or if I should let your father explain."

"You better tell me." Talia insisted. Just then Marcus pulled up next to them, Ryker walked to the door opening it for Andrea and Talia to get in. "I'll talk to you later about it." He tells her as she got inside the vehicle. The ride home was quiet, Ryker was trying to figure out how to tell her what her father had done, he still thought that her dad should fill her in.

Talia sat back in the seat trying to figure out what her dad had done, the more she thought about things that has gone on and things that Ryker had told her before she was kidnapped she had a feeling that he knew more than what he had first told her and that her dad was most likely the main reason why this all started.

They dropped Andrea off first, both Marcus and Ryker walked around her apartment checking everything out and making sure that everything was safe before they left. Talia gave Andrea a hug before they left "I'll call you tomorrow." Talia said before leaving. Ryker was then dreading the ride home, knowing that he was going to be questioned about Arlo when they got home.

When they got home, he sat her down and explained to her what the whole entire story was. She already had a feeling that he had something to do with it, but was surprised to hear that he was involved with the drugs, and the money. She now understood what Christopher meant when he was asking her where the safe was. "I wonder if my mom knew about all of this?" She asked in shock.

"I'm sure when I bring him in we will all find out.. but it's pretty late, we should head to bed."

The next day Ryker had woken up early, rolling over he laid with his arm underneath his head admiring the beauty laying next to him, he started caressing her cheek "I love you." He whispered before he quietly got out of bed, not wanting to wake her, he then took a quick shower before he headed out to pick up Arlo.

When Ryker arrived to pick up Arlo, Arlo was sitting there on the couch waiting for him to arrive. "After I received a phone call from Talia last night I had a feeling that you would be here to see me today." Arlo said to Ryker when he entered the room.

"As much as I hate to do this, they would like to speak to you down at the station, I did work it out with them that I would come and get you rather them come here and place you in handcuffs. I feel no threat by you." Ryker says with his hands on his waist, really wishing that he didn't have to do this.

"Am I under arrest?"

"No... you're not under arrest, besides I cannot arrest anyone. All they would like to do is question you, I have spoken with the navy and they are willing to make a deal with you, being that what you did was a while ago, and you did help seize the biggest shipment that came in before you retired."

"Before you even ask, Amelia had no part in any of this, she had no idea about any of it until I explained it to her last night.... let's just say I'm not on good terms with her at the moment." He sighed as he stood up "Well let's get this over with."

On the way to the station Ryker looked at Arlo he could tell that he was nervous and knew that he just wanted to come clean about everything. "I do have something to ask you being that I have you alone right now."

"You have my blessing." Arlo spoke as he turned his head towards Ryker, giving him a wink. He had a feeling what he was about to ask him and he couldn't be any more happier for his daughter.

Ryker quickly turned his head and smiled "You knew what I was about to ask you?"

"I did, I could sense it back there that there was another reason why you offered to bring me in, and I just want to say she deserves someone like you, I can see how much you care for her and I can see how much she cares for you and loves you. After what you have done for her, and for us for that matter, I couldn't be any more proud to have a son in law like you, so yes you have my blessing to take her hand in marriage.... That is what you wanted to ask?"

"It was."

For the next week Ryker had been planning his proposal to Talia, he wanted to make her feel special and for it to be romantic. He had made reservations for a couple nights at the Driskell hotel in downtown Austin. After making the reservations he went up behind Talia who was standing at the stove making breakfast, he placed his hands underneath her shirt and rested them on her stomach that was starting to grow.

"I like that I can feel the pouch growing." He said softly in her ear giving her goosebumps, he then started placing kisses along her neck "When your done making breakfast I need you to pack your bag."

She turned around with a confused look "Are you kicking me out already? I know it's been a little over a week since everyone had been arrested, but I like it here with you." She pouted.

Ryker shook his head with a big grin, chuckling "No, no you goof, I mean pack a bag, because we're going on a road trip for a couple days. I figured you could use a little get away and a bit of relaxation after all you've been through the past few months."

"Oh? When and where are we going?" She felt a little bit of excitement run through her as she tried hiding her smile.

"You'll see. We're not going to Hawaii or anything." He chuckled "Just going about an hour and a half from here." He winked, he pulled her in for a kiss, a kiss that turned long and passionate. The more he kissed her, he felt his cock starting to grow and pulled away. "Wow." He moaned then growled pulling her in for one more kiss.

"OK that's enough." He says as he pulled away "If we don't stop now we will never get out of here."

Her face then lit up "Are we leaving today?" She says excited. "I better finish your breakfast then." She said when he nodded his head yes, grinning.

Talia quickly finished making his breakfast, feeding him sausage and biscuits with homemade sausage gravy. While he ate, she went to pack a bag for their weekend getaway. "Make sure to pack a nice outfit!" Ryker yelled out with his mouth full of food.

After she packed she hopped in the shower, Ryker looked for the ring he had gotten her, finding it in the ring box in the top of her dresser drawer. He left her a note saying that he would be right back, he then left and had gone to the jewelry store where he purchased the ring. While he was there he had the ring cleaned and polished, he also purchased a pair of diamond earrings and a diamond necklace for her to wear when he takes her out for a night to remember.

Talia got out of the shower and got herself ready, she didn't know what she should wear, she ravaged through the closet and found a sundress that she could still wear, all her clothes were starting to get tight and hadn't had time to go out shopping for any maternity or larger clothes.

Ryker finally got home and quickly packed his clothes. "Are you ready?" He asked as he held onto both of their suitcases. She nodded her head but had a noticeable sad look to her.

She was quiet the entire drive to their destination, he pulled up to the entrance of the hotel to let her out and unload the suitcases, he then parked the car.

"This place looks pretty cool." She said to Ryker when he walked up to her. She was still standing outside admiring the looks of the old historic looking hotel.

"This place is pretty cool, it's been here since the 1800's I believe, they're also suppose to have excellent food here too." They walked inside, and Talia was in awe as she looked around. "Wow, this is beautiful!" She continued to look around while Ryker checked into their suite.

When they got to their room, Talia still couldn't believe something this beautiful was in Texas. She walked out to the balcany overlooking Sixth street, watching the world go by. He walked up wrapping his arms around her "Sixth street is actually a lot of fun especially at night, sometime after you have the baby I'll have to take you out here again."

The first day there they toured around the hotel checking the building out before they had dinner at the hotel. After dinner they took a little walk on the boardwalk located on Lady Bird Lake in downtown Austin, as it got dark the lights of downtown shined right down onto the water. "Just beautiful isn't it?" He asked her while he held her hand, the walked over to the rail and watched the lights sparkle in the water.

Every once in a while he would stop and give her a kiss, the last time they stopped to kiss a couple kids yelled for them to get a room as they rode their bicycles past them "We should get back.. it's getting late." He chuckled.

When they got back to their room, Ryker noticed how quiet she was still, at dinner and while on their walk he tried figuring out what was bothering her. He kept watching her actions as she walked around the room and her expressions, he took her hand and pulled her to his lap when she started to walk past him.

"Tell me what's wrong. You were all excited and happy this morning, then on our way here and since we've been here you have been awfully quiet and showing signs of sadness. Is everything OK?"

She looked down at her hand and was scared to tell him about the ring. Her eyes started to fill with tears and placed her forehead on his shoulder "You're going to be so upset with me." She wept.

"Why? What did you do?" He asked as he pressed his head back to see her face.

"I lost that ring you got me, I'm so sorry. I thought I had put it in the drawer the other day. I didn't want to get it full of raw meat and had taken it off while I was making dinner. I realized when I was getting ready this morning that I had forgot to put it on, and now I can't find it."

He wanted to laugh, but ended up making a serious face. "Don't worry hun, I'm sure it will show up. Maybe you put it in a different spot, not realizing that you did... I'm not too worried." He smiled, still trying to not laugh, and to not get her upset. He's been told that you never want to piss off a pregnant woman, so the last thing that he wanted to do was to laugh at her.

"I'm going to hate myself if I lost that ring."

Well the chapter was boring to me, but I hope that you all enjoyed it anyways.
