Ryker panicked as he cleaned himself up, he knew the sex felt different and thought it was because of how tight and wet she was, she had him hot and bothered by her gorgeousness that he didn't even think about the condom. Now he knows why the sex was even more amazing.

He didn't want her thinking that he was trying to trap her in any way and that he didn't mean for that to happen. He twisted his lips and smirked a little although I wouldn't mind not using a condom and would rather not to, I just hope that she doesn't get upset when I mention it to her. He mumbled under his breath.

Ryker climbed into bed and pressed his body against hers, kissing her shoulder as he wrapped an arm around her. "Who were you talking to in there?" She asked quietly.

"You heard me?"

"Yes, I heard you talking and wasn't sure if you were on the phone or just going nutty talking to yourself."

Damn, you'll be a good mother someday. The kids will hate it. He chuckled to himself, he started to caress her arm trying to let out what he had done. He closed his eyes waiting for her to snap once he told her his mistake. "I was talking to myself after I realized I forgot to put a condom on. I'm so sorry." He sounded worried and continued to kiss her shoulder moving up towards her neck, he smiled when he felt goosebumps form on her arms.

The feeling of his hot breath, and his lowly sexy voice got her feeling warm and excited all over again. She didn't know what to say about him not wearing a condom, she didn't want to get mad after their perfect love making session, she was still in awe about it.

She rolled over wrapping her arms around him giving him a passionate kiss. "We can talk about that later, from now on we will have to be more careful. I'm sure one time isn't going to hurt and I'm about to have my monthly cycle anyday now."

"So you're not mad?" He asked sincere still feeling bad about it. With her situation the last thing that they need right now is for her to become pregnant.

"Not really... I mean what can I say? It happened and I know that there is a window on when you can get pregnant, which I know I'm not in that window right now."

He felt better, more relieved than anything. He gave her another kiss "Goodnight my fiancé."

The next morning while Ryker was driving he couldn't help but notice Talia smiling every now and then, especially when she would look at what was on her finger, it made him feel good and hoped to someday turn it into a real engagement, his feelings for her were strong, and after spending more time with her they were stronger than ever. As they walked into her work she quickly ran to the back to where Andrea was wanting to show off the ring Ryker bought.

Andrea was in the back grabbing bags of coffee to bring up to the front, she heard Talia walking in and looked over at her. "I see a smile, something happened." Andrea said as she smiled for her. She knew Ryker was a good choice for her and was glad to be a part of hooking them up.

Talia flashed her hand up to show her the ring "OH MY!! Wait... what?" Andrea grabbed her hand to look at the ring.

"I told you that I'm engaged." She giggled before giving a pout look "If only it were real." She sighed as she took another look at the ring. 

"Girl... if that were a fake engagement he sure as hell wouldn't have given you something as beautiful as that, even paying that much for a ring like that!" She was in awe as she studied the ring "A princess cut diamond and huge at that!"

"I love how it twists on the sides."

"Looks like infinity... that man is in love with you, there's a meaning behind that. He means this for life.. trust me." Andrea smiled as she walked away bringing the coffee up front. As she set the bags down she turned to look at Ryker, he was sitting in his usual corner looking at the laptop writing down notes. "Hey Ryker!" She called out to get his attention, when he looked up she smiled at him giving two thumbs up. He just smiled and went back to his work.

Later in the morning, Ryker noticed this Javier guy walk in and kept an eye on him as he walked up to Talia. "Morning Talia." Javier smiled as he approached her, Talia glanced over at Ryker quickly knowing that he probably saw him walk in. "Morning." She said as she took his order, it was different than normal as he ordered more drinks than usual, not wanting to have a conversation with him she just took his order. She grabbed his coffee while Andrea made the specialty drinks. As she handed him his coffee he noticed the ring on her finger and grabbed her hand to look at it. 

"Wow.. never saw that before." He said with a little attitude.

"I finally got it back yesterday." She said pulling her hand away from his.

"Where was it?"

"It was in getting fixed, I somehow lost a diamond."

Ryker could hear them talking and just sat back listening with a grin on his face. That's my girl he said quietly to himself. As Javier was leaving he noticed Ryker sitting in the corner and gave him an evil look as he walked out. Ryker noticed the glare and had gotten a bad vibe off of him. he then started to wonder if this guy was connected to Topher and did some more investigating, trying to find who this Topher was and who he is all associated with.

Later that night Talia woke up to Ryker not in bed and got up to look for him. She put on her robe and headed out of the room and noticed that the dining room light was on. As she walked in she saw him leaning back in the chair with his arms crossed fast asleep. His laptop was open and all his paperwork was scattered on the table. She walked over to wake him up and noticed a sketch of a man that was still up on the screen, curious as to what he had been looking at she leaned down and looked at the man. Her heart dropped and got closer to the screen to have a closer look OH MY GOD she whispered loudly causing Ryker to jump up scaring her.

"Ryker?" She questioned while pointing at the screen. "What is this about?"

Shit he thought, he then closed the laptop "Sorry I fell asleep while working."

"Why was Topher's sketch up on your screen? That was him wasn't it?"

He reached for her hand and pulled her to his lap, he rested his chin on her shoulder taking a deep breath "I'm not sure but that was my first thought when it was sent to me."

She opened the laptop back up having him log in. She looked at the sketch "That is him, I studied his face when he was at my parents. But why was it sent to you?"

He figured that he might as well tell her what was going on since she saw the sketch, he didn't want to hide anything from her and had been keeping this sketch from her while he made sure that it was him. Knowing now that she said his name after seeing it, he was certain that it was him. "As much as I didn't want you to get involved with this, but that case I told you about with the beating and her daughter missing... this was her sketch of him." He said touching the screen. "He's the father of that child. Hannah knew him as Christopher."

"What?!?" She was in shock, everything that she had finally put in the back of her mind suddenly came back. She felt sick to her stomach "I knew it, I knew it!" She says standing up "I knew that there was something off about him!" Her heart raced and felt like throwing up "Topher.. Christopher... makes total sense." She turned to look at Ryker "He's the father of that little girl?"

She felt even more sick to her stomach "If he left that woman for dead, murdered my parents, then that means that little girl is in danger and my sister is most likely gone." Her voice was crackly and her hopes of her sister being alive went away.

"I don't know for sure but I have a feeling he took Victoria for a reason, I believe that she is still alive, as for your sister I'm sorry, that I couldn't tell you."

Talia now more than ever wanted to help Ryker out, she wanted to somehow to help find Topher and make him pay for what he did to her parents and possibly her sister. The only thing was, was that she didn't know anything about him. All she remembered is what he looked like and would be able to pin point him out in a line up.

Talia had a hard time sleeping that night as she kept having dreams of her parents and her sister. She tossed and turned until Ryker woke up to get ready for work. She laid there wide awake staring at the ceiling. "What are you doing awake?" He said in his morning voice.

"I couldn't sleep at all, I've been awake for hours thinking, tossing and turning."

"You're lucky that you don't have to work today." 

She rolled to her side propping herself up to look at him "You should bring me to work with you today...."

"That's not a good idea, I have a lot to do today. Besides if you've been up all night you should stay in bed and get some rest."

She flopped back on her back "I guess you're right. I am tired but I just want to help find that asshole."

"Trust me I'll figure this all out, before anything else happens."

Ryker walked into the building where his office was and headed straight to his office and shutting the door behind him, he sat down and logged into the laptop searching for what he could find out on Christopher Garcia. Now that his suspicions were correct after Talia noticed the sketch he knew what his real name was. He found a few names in the areas of Texas, California and Mexico, there were some other places as well but was more interested in the areas that he already knew about.

He checked the arrest reports first looking for a photo that matched Christopher's sketch. He heard a knock at the door and looked up calling for them to come in.

Marcus opened the door peeking through "Hey."

"Come in."

"So word on the street is that you're engaged." Marcus said with a smile as he walked towards him.

Ryker looked at him confused squinting his eyebrows "How did you know that, I haven't told anybody."

"Oh.. maybe they just assumed you were, I was told they saw you in a jewelry store and walked out smiling with a bag in your hand.... by your expression and your tone I guess it's true." He chuckled.

"I'm determined to marry that girl. She's everything that I have been waiting for in my life, she's perfect."

"I was going to say it's awfully fast, I didn't even know that the two of you were dating?"

"When you know you just know." He said not wanting to give him the real reason why. He figured that was between him and Talia. "Was there something that you needed or did you come in here to ask about my engagement?"

"Oh yea... I was too excited to question you about your life that I almost forgot that the boss has been looking for you for a couple days."

Marcus left the room leaving Ryker to wonder what was going on again, he couldn't believe that someone actually saw him buying a ring, although it's possible he thought, but how would they know that he proposed or gave her the ring?

He figured that he better go see what the boss wanted before he headed back out. The door was open when he approached and looked in to see if he was in his office. "Come in Ryker." His boss said as he was putting some files away.

"I was going to let you know that I have to go out of town for a few days and wanted to see what your progress was with the Hannah case.. I heard that she's awake and that she has been giving information on to what happened."

"Yes, she has been talking, slowly everyday she remembers more. From what I was told she could be leaving the hospital soon."

"Very nice, keep doing what you're doing and get everything that you can out of her, I need this case finished soon and this guy caught." He insisted.

"Sir I'm doing the best that I can right now, I'm hoping to find this guy soon wherever he is.... believe me I want that asshole caught myself." Ryker said annoyed as he started walking towards the doorway, just as he was about to walk out of the room he stopped when he heard the boss say something by the way congratulations.
