The Next Day
"Good morning unnie." I yawned as I tiredly walked into the kitchen to grab a cup of milk, maybe it can keep me awake.

"Looks like someone did not have enough sleep last night." Eunsoo unnie teased as I drank my milk.

"Probably because she was thinking of me the whole night." An oddly familiar voice spoke behind me. Startled, I turned my head behind and my eyes immediately widened in shock to see Jungkook who was already well groomed in his uniform, standing at the door, smiling at me with his hands placed in his pockets.

Jungkook?!

I choked on my milk as I started to coughed badly. The smile on Jungkook's face was now replaced with panic as he quickly rushed towards me.

"Yah yah... Are you okay?!" Jungkook frantically asked as he hurry pat my back.

"W-why are you here?" I managed to asked Jungkook as I looked at him after coughing for a few minutes. "He's here to eat breakfast. Now, both of you take a seat. Breakfast is ready." Eunsoo unnie answered as she take the plates of omelette before walking out of the kitchen.

"Appa didn't cook for you?" I asked Jungkook as we both walked to the table. "I told him not too since I want to walk to school together with you." Jungkook smiled, causing my cheeks to blush.

Jungkook, Eunsoo unnie and I are now quietly eating our breakfast. Sometime I could even caught Eunsoo unnie sending me a teasing look but all I did was ignored her.

"Oh! Eunsoo noona, is Eunji today free? If yes, can I bring her out after school?" Jungkook suddenly asked, breaking the silence.

"Ohh... You mean a date right?" A playful smirk soon formed on Eunoo unnie face as she looked at me teasingly, causing my cheeks to blush even more.

"Sure! She do not have anything on today so you can hang out with her  but don't be too late." Eunsoo unnie smile at Jungkook.

"Great, okay Eunji and I should better get going now. Thanks for the delicious meal." Jungkook smile as both of us stood up, carrying our school bag.

"Okay, byebye. Have fun!" Eunsoo unnie bid us goodbyes as we leave my house.

"So where are we going after school?" I asked as we intertwined our fingers. Are we now officially dating, you may asked. Well... To be honest, I have no idea.

"It's a surprise."Jungkook smile. "Can't wait." I said as I let out a warm smile.

What will the surprise be? I thought as we walked towards school.

When we finally reached school, we head to Jungkook's locker first since Jungkook need to take his textbooks. As we walked through the hallway, students started to gossip once their eyes landed on our intertwined fingers.

Girl 1: Didn't they broke up after Eunji cheat on him?

Girl 2: Why would Jungkook even want her after what Eunji did to him?

Girl 3: Surprisingly, Eunji and Jungkook looked better compared to Yena and Jungkook.

My smile unknowingly curled up after hearing some positive comment but still, I'm still quite affected by those negative remarks the student make.

Jungkook realized that I was being uncomfortable with those nasty remarks the students are giving me as he gave a reassuring squeeze to my hand. "Don't worry, I'm here." Jungkook whispered to my ear. I looked at him and our eyes met. I let out a small smile, glad that I have Jungkook right beside me.

Narrator's Pov
When Jungkook and Eunji finally reached infront of Jungkook's locker, both of them spotted Jimin and Yena, not far away from them as Jimin closed his locker. Just as he was about to leave his locker with Yena, his gaze landed on Eunji which caused him to halt his steps and walked towards Eunji with a warm smile instead.

Yena furrowed her eyebrows when Jimin suddenly stopped talking as he walked the opposite direction. Yena followed his gaze and a frowned immediately appeared on her face when her gaze landed on Eunji and Jungkook whose fingers are intertwined. Letting out a deep sighed, she reluctantly followed Jimin behind.

"Hi Eunji! Hi Jungkook!" Jimin greeted as he stood right in front of the couple. "Hi." Jungkook and Eunji smiled. "Oh Eunji, are you feeling better now? " Jimin asked concernly as he stretched his arm out and placed his hand on Eunji's forehead.

"Oh, y-yes I am feeling better..." Eunji stuttered as she took a step back away Jimin's hand, awkwardly after realizing Yena was shooting death glares from her eyes as her arms fold against her chest. Jimin was oblivious with the tension going on between Yena and Eunji. However, Jungkook managed to witness the whole incident.

"That's good! We will get going now then. Bye." Jimin smiled.

After Jungkook and Eunji bid goodbyes with Jimin, Jungkook quickly avert his attention back to Eunji. "Are you okay?" Jungkook softly asked Eunji.

"Of course I'm okay. Why won't I? Now hurry take your textbooks or else we are going to be late." Eunji laughed as she quickly turned Jungkook's body towards his locker. Jungkook let out a sigh as he opened his locker, taking all the necessary textbooks out but deep down in his heart, he clearly knows that she is lieing.

You don't have to lie... I know you are not okay... Jungkook thought.

Ring Ring

The school bell rang, indicating school just end. Eunji start to pack her stuff after caming back from the washroom while she wait for Jungkook since Jungkook went out to meet his teacher for awhile.

As Eunji was clearing her things from her desk, a shiny pink box suddenly caught her attention. Feeling curious, Eunji stretched her arms to picked the box. There was a note attached to it. It said...

To: Cherry

Have a chocolate first while waiting for me so at least you won't get bored :)

From: Jungkook, your wonderful boyfriend 💕

Eunji's lip unknowingly curled up as she stared at the chocolates. Jungkook must have secretly placed this under my desk when I was in the washroom. Eunji thought as she recalled Jungkook was sitting on her desk earlier before she went to the washroom.

Just as Eunji was about to pick one of the chocolates and place it into her mouth, someone suddenly snatched the box away from Eunji.

"What's this? Chocolates?"

Eunji quickly snap her head towards the person who stole her chocolates and a frown immediately made it's way up to her face when she realized who was it.

"Yah... Jungkook, it's rude to snatch someone gift. Especially when it was you who give it to me..." Eunji whined as she tip toe and stretched her arms up high to claim her chocolates back but it was useless since Jungkook was way taller than her.

"Me?" Jungkook asked confused but carried on to take one of the chocolates out from the box and place it into his mouth, in order to tease Eunji even more.

"Yah... I haven't a taste yet." Eunji pout as she drop her arms down to her side.

Jungkook let out a chuckled, finding Eunji's action cute but stopped as a frowned appear on his face too. "Yah, Eunji... What did you say just now? Who gave you these chocolates?" Jungkook asked as he scrunched his eyebrows after swallowing the chocolate that he took earlier.

"You. You placed it under my desk when I head to the washroom remember? You even left this note." Eunji said as she took the note out from her pocket and passed it to Jungkook before looking at him, confused.

Jungkook took the note and quickly glanced the whole note. But I didn't buy any chocolates today... Some more, why would I even want to give Eunji chocolates that have peanut fillings in it when I know she is allergic to it? Jungkook thought when suddenly he realized something.

"Yena..." Jungkook gritted his teeth as his grip on the paper tightened.

"J-Jungkook? What's wrong?" Eunji asked, concern was written all over her face when she saw the sudden change in Jungkook's expression.

"Nothing. I will buy for you chocolate next time. Meet me at the school gate, I will be right back." Jungkook quickly say as he grabbed his bag before running out from the classroom, leaving Eunji dumbfounded.

"Did something bad happen?" Eunji mumbled to herself as she avert her attention from her watch back to the school entrance, to check whether Jungkook have arrived already.

I had been waiting for more than 10 minutes... Eunji thought as she looked at her watch again.

"Oh there he is!" Eunji smiled after looking up to see Jungkook running towards her before letting out a sigh of relief.

"Sorry I took so long." Jungkook said with an apologetic tone.

"Nah, it's okay. Everything fine?" Eunji asked as she look at him, worried.

"Everything is fine. Let's go." Jungkook smiled as he grabbed Eunji's hand before leaving the school gate which caused Eunji's heart to flutter.

Jungkook's Pov

"Jungkook? Jungkook!" Eunji suddenly shout as she wave her hand in front of my face which bring me back to reality.

"Huh?" I blurted as I looked at her, blankly.

"Yah... I been asking you what bus are we taking since we had been siting here for ages!" Eunji complained. I quickly look around and that's when I realize we are at the bus stop.

"Oh, sorry... I was just thinking of something... Oh, here's come the bus let's go!" I quickly say as I intertwined my fingers with her and board the bus.

"That bus?! Yah, that bus at least came two times and you say is not that bus!" Eunji whined in disbelief.

When we finally take a seat on the bus, I finally let out a deep sigh.

"Jungkook? You had been acting wierdly since just now. Is something bothering you? We can cancel this date and have it on another day, if you don't feel good." Eunji say as she placed her hand on my hand while looking at me worriedly.

"Nah, it's okay. I'm fine. I'm just thinking what should we do on the date." I said as I give her my reassuring smile before placing my hand above hers.

Eunji hesitated for awhile before letting out a sigh. "Okay... If you say so... " Eunji let out a small smile before closing her eyes and resting her head on my shoulder.

"Wake me up when we are reaching... " Eunji mumbled under her breath but loud for me to hear it. I let out a chuckle before humming in response.

However, my smile didn't last long when I recalled what Yena said...

Flashback

"There you are." I say as I gritted my teeth angrily.

"Yah who dares to spea- Oh Jungkook! Looking for me?" Yena smiled.

"Why did you give Eunji these chocolates when you clearly knows she allergic to peanuts?!" I shouted as I shoved those chocolates and notes that were now crushed since I couldn't control my anger on her hand.

"What? I don't remember giving Eunji those chocolates. Why would I do that Jungkook?" Yena asked as she tilt her head to the side while looking at me innocently.

"Stop acting you are innocent. I know it's you through this handwriting and don't think that I do not know it was you who pushed Eunji into the pool." I snapped at her which received a chuckle from her.

"Oh Jungkook, you know me so well... And do you know what this means?" Yena asked as she walk closer to me, with a smirk plastered on her face.

"Well... It means deep down in your heart, you still love me." Yena said as she suddenly wrapped her arms around my neck, with her eyes locked with mine, while dangerously moving her lips closer to mine.

"Get off from me, you crazy girl. I like Eunji, not you." I snapped as I managed to push her clinging body off from me, feeling disgust.

"Break up with Eunji." Yena snapped as she glared at me after straightening her clothes.

"Why must I?" I retorted as I rolled my eyes in annoyance, seeing how unreasonable she is.

"Because..." Yena trailed off with an evil smirk plastered on her face.

"I will hurt her both emotionally and physically." Yena said as she fold her arms against her chest, with a victory smile on her face.

"In your dreams. I will be there to protect her." I scoffed as I turned my body back on her before leaving her.

"Yah! I mean what I said Jungkook! And I will do it!"

End of flashback

"I won't let anyone to hurt you Eunji." I said as I looked at Eunji who is now fast asleep before giving her a peck on her forhead.

I promise...

Since, I have already completed this chapter, I decided to publish it to thanks you guys💕 Originally, this chapter is way even longer than this one but it was so long that I have to cut into half, thats why I made some changes to the previous teaser.
