His Note To Them part of chapter one: in the history book

After a bit she gets a phone call. She answers it. All she replies with are "mhm" and "okay". When she says bye, She turns to me.
"Do you have a car?" I nod my head. "I need to get some important stuff from my house. My parents just sold it and they are home. Could you drive me to get my stuff?" I think about it before I answer.
"If you drive and tell me your name." She smiles, gets her jacket, and starts to put her shoes on.
"It's Catherwren" I don't know her after all. I thought I did. I get up and put my own shoes on. It's not too cold out so I don't need a jacket. We take an elevator, from the fourth floor, to the main floor. I was able to get my car parked next to the entrance. It's just an ordinary car. I'm not much of a car person, so I don't know what type, It's just black. I toss her the keys and we both get in.
We don't talk on the way. The drive takes about twenty minutes. She parks in front of a house with a for sale sign. Catherwren gets out and runs to the door. I follow after her. She lets us both in, she runs in first.
"Close the door behind you," She says while turning down picture frames.
"What are you doing?" She stops, all the pictures are face-down.
"These pictures are embarrassing. Now I'm going to get my stuff, You can wait here." She leaves to a different room. This house seems oddly familiar, I just don't know how. I down a hallway to a kitchen. Everytime I find a kitchen I have a weird habit of looking at what people keep on their fridges. Only one thing catches my eye. It's just a piece of printed paper, but I pull it off and go find Catherwren. I find her room rather quickly.
"Why the hell do you have a photo of me on your fridge, one with my ex?" She doesn't look at me, she looks at her box of stuff.
"Jace. . ."
"Emmett. You don't have a right to call me by my first name." She still doesn't look at me.
"You've changed, Jace," Now she looks at me. One of the things that irritate me the most is a person not being straightforward. "Cath. . . Remember me."
That's why she seemed so familiar. But her hair is black not, it used to be blonde. She doesn't wear glasses anymore. I turn away from her and go out of the house. I lean against the car, back facing away. The last happiness I had took herself away from me, now she's my roommate. Perfect. I feel hands on my back.
"Jace, I think I still like you. I honestly wish I never broke up with you," She turns me to face her. "I haven't been with anyone else. Don't cry, let's just get back together." I put my hands to my face. I remember that I hated it when she asked for something. I could never say no. It felt too wrong. Luckily she doesn't ask for things often. I have to nod my head. She leave to get her stuff. I get into the car. Cath comes back with a box. She gets into the driver's seat and drives us back to the dorms. I don't talk to her at all.
The first thing I do when I get back to the dorm is go to my bed. Time will let me think. I need time to let me think. It's only four in the afternoon. I have a few days to think before the term starts.
