[Hiccup's POV]

*Thursday, February 25*

Today, we are finally going to perform our practiced song;'The Scientist' to the public, since today, the visitors 'we have no idea who' are coming to our school. Sure, they're important people but all we actually care about today is our performance. Actually, we're not performing it right now but we'd be doing it this afternoon at 3pm. Right now, we're on the classroom having discussion about History, sure I'm a nerd but I'm not totally into History, I'm on Math and Philosophy kinda guy. But I'm learning...unlike the rest of my friends who are 'dying' of boredom.

Kristoff has his chin resting on his hand, with his elbow on the table while he stared at the clock with drooping eyes, he kept mumbling 'please hurry up, please hurry up, please hurry up' but then time is a very playful element and it felt like it only moved slower as he kept staring at it.

After for like 4 eons, the bell finally rand and we all ran out of the classroom like it was on fire or something, I received a text from Merida that they're already waiting on our usual spot at the cafeteria. I announced it to Kristoff and Eugene then.

"So, that little plan of ours, will it work?" I asked Eugene who just shrugged. "I really felt bad not telling Elsa about this."

Kristoff rolled his eyes. "Dude, he just want to surprise Elsa and all, where's the surprise if you're going to tell her?"

I sighed. "Well, you're right."

It was almost a month after Jack's audition and the only person who doesn't know that he's the new member is Elsa, I've been planning to tell her but then Kristoff and Eugene stopped me because they wanted to surprise the girls, but then, it was ruined since they already saw him in the music room a month ago.

We finally arrived at the cafeteria and there we saw the four season chatting about our performance later, Elsa still has no idea and her friends are pretending like they also didn't know, but then...we can't actually ruin Jack's surprise. We kinda forgave him after he said that he is sincere on saying sorry to Elsa and he did told us their nonsense 'balcony argument' last Valentines' day and she almost broke down her wall, almost.

"Soooooooo, you've been talking about us?" Eugene grinned madly while looking at Punzie before sitting beside her, Punzie tugged a single strand of her hair behind her ear.

"We're just talking about your future performance...I'm super excited to see your new member!" She said excitedly and I smiled sheepishly.

"Yeah, I wonder who that mysterious guy is." Elsa said and raised an eyebrow.

"Where's Kristoff?" Anna asked and I pointed Kristoff who was ordering our usual on the counter. "Okay, what time will be the program, again?"

"3pm." I replied. "I heard the classes our canceled...again."

"Of course." Merida said proudly. "Who wants to miss the Big 4, right?"

We all chuckled.

[Elsa's POV]

It's already 2:59pm and now all the students (not really) and teachers are already sitting on the school hall. While we and the boys are behind stage looking at the audience. "What's the program flow?" I asked Eugene and he looked at his invitation card.

"Well, it says that we'll play after the main program...we'll be the 'entertainment' of the students, teachers and visitors as they look around the school or something." He replied and I nodded.

"Okay then, just don't forget to mention the student who requested it...you know." I said and shrugged, I look around to notice something or rather someone missing. "There's still three of you, is your new member going to show up any minute?"

"Not when you're around...nope." He said, popping the 'p' and I glared at him. "What? It's the grand plan, to surprise you all!"

I sighed in annoyance. "Fine, I'll be with the girls." I said and that I walked away from the backstage and proceeded to the reserved seats for us. Anna was smiling at me excitedly and I smiled back at her. Then the program finally started.

[Jack's POV]

"Is she still there?" I whispered to Eugene who just looked at me blankly.

"Err, do you see her anywhere?" He replied and I shook my head. He was about to say something when we heard the master of the ceremonies announced the program is already starting. I casually got out behind the curtain and took a peek behind stage, my heart started pounding on my chest as I saw the number of students and teachers on the great hall. I gulped and I heard Hiccup chuckle.

"Nervous?" He asked and grinned.

"It's my first time singing on public, so yeah." I replied.

"Are you sure it's the public?" I furrowed my eyebrows. "Not her?"

I looked at the sea of faces again and in the front line I finally saw the platinum-blonde haired girl sitting formally, beside her was her younger sister and friends. Hiccup laughed and I looked at him confusingly. "What's funny?"

"Dude, you are nervous because of her!" He pointed me. "Come on, say it!"

I sighed in annoyance. "So what if I am?"

"Awwwwww." Kristoff pipes in. "I knew it!"

"So...Jack, why are you all doing this anyway?" Eugene crossed him arms and leaned on the white wall.

"I told you, I wanna apologize to her." I said.

"Yeah, but...why?" Hiccup also asked.

"Dudes, come on, his conscience is probably beating him up, that's why." Kristoff said before looking at me. "Or...is it?"

"It's more than conscience to be honest..." I said. "But I'm not sure what it really is."

[Elsa's POV]

"Thank you, and have a wonderful afternoon." The principal finally finished her welcoming address and we all clapped loudly, not because we liked it or something, but we're clapping because the boring speech is finally over...trust me, I know how school programs work.

After another set of boring speeches, finally introducing the guests, welcoming them to the school and all other 'I won't tell it because the students are not interested in it anyway'. The program was finally done and finally, the MC already announced the next performer.

"Let us all welcome, the most popular boy band in D. Works Academy on their latest 'The Scientist' ; The Big 4!!" The students started yelling and cheering at them and the four of us covered our ears, mostly because of the shriek of the crazy fangirls behind us. The visitors just chuckled, shook their heads and mumbled something about 'teenagers' or something.

Eugene, Kristoff bringing his guitar and Hiccup bringing his bass went out and stood in front of the stage while the stage crew set up the new drums and the piano. The most awaited new member still wasn't there. Eugene held the microphone stand in front of him and cleared his throat. "Good afternoon." He said politely. "To our teachers, principal and college deans." He added. "And to all students." He looked at Hiccup and Kristoff who nodded at him. "We, Big 4 have a special announcement. I know that all of you here already know about Pitch and all...so we had our auditions, looking for a new member. We found him finally, and today is his very first performance as the new member of the Big 4. Ladies and gentlemen, I introduce to you all; Manolo Jackson Overland."

My jaw dropped when Eugene announced his name. Anna, Punzie and Merida were all looking at me worriedly as I froze on my spot, looking at Jack as he walk into the stage slowly and a bit shyly.

He sat on the piano set and tapped the microphone standing on it a few times. "Hello everyone, I'm Manolo Jackson Overland, but you all can call me Jack, this song is dedicated to the anonymous student who requested it." He smile shyly. "I hope you're here and I hope you'll like our performance today." He said and a single student screamed. Seconds later he started the entrance of the song. "And I wanted to dedicate this song to a very special person." He looked at me. "You already know who you are." And then the song started;

The song ended and everyone remained silent for seconds before they all went screaming again, the teachers clapped loudly and my shoulders dropped. I never heard him sing like that ever, I was about to stand up on my seat when I heard something that I never expected.

"Maria Elsa Winters...I'm sorry."

I turned around and looked at him, and he never took his eyes away from me, his cyan blue eyes were like blue fire that burned through my soul, he was breaking my walls apart, and I don't think I can handle that...

I'm not really sure if I should ever trust him again after what he did a year ago, but then if he's really sincere and that he's sorry then maybe I should forgive him.

I closed my eyes and sighed. I don't know if I can do this, it still hurts until now.

Why does it still affect me anyway?

I know the exact answer for it...it's the feeling that I was hiding for a long time.

I might be angry at him, but it doesn't change one fact.

I still love him.

[Jack's POV]

I sang the song but I couldn't take my eyes off her, but then while I was singing it it finally hit me...the reason I wanted to apologize is not that I just want to clear my conscience or just simply asking for forgiveness...

But it's because I finally realize, that it's not forgiveness what I'm after...but it's Elsa herself, I want her back.

Because now I realize...

She's the one I truly love...
