♡ Chapter 19 ♡
Meanwhile,
Somewhere in the city,
In an abandoned factory,
Nighttime...
Third Person's POV
"...SERIOUSLY? We are going to sleep here?" A teenage girl complained to her little brother. Her twin-tailed brown hair swayed as she looked away in discontent. The little brother sighed in defeat. He looked around the abandoned factory. It wasn't a pretty sight.
The place was dusty and dirty. There were roaches crawling on the floor. Ew, what creepy creatures they were. This sight could disgust the crap out of anyone, even a person who never cared about their hygiene. Who in the world was crazy enough to sleep in such dirty place?
Well, they were.
"We have no other option. Well, beggars can't be chosers. This place is much better than sleeping under the bridge..." The dark green-haired boy responded unenthusiastically, leaving his older sister speechless. Her retort was caught in her throat.
"Jeez, fine! Just this once! Next time, I will find a better place than this!" She declared strongly before tailing her little brother from behind, looking for the least dirty place to lay down. They found a giant table big enough for two people to lay on its surface. Luckily, it was not as dusty as other furniture.
The siblings duo cleaned the surface a little and then laid themselves on there. They stared at the black ceilings silently, minding their own business. The teenage girl suddenly frowned.
"Hey... Is this a right choice? Thinking it through, I feel like leaving Nii-san to beat up that guy... Is not a bad optio-"
"What nonsense are you talking about?!"
The teenage boy shot up from the table, glaring at his big sister furiously. His teeth were grinding in pent-up anger. "Have you forgotten our promise with Mom?! Our promise to stop Aniki from straying farther from the right path! If we let him be, he will only fall into darkness much deeper!" He yelled at the girl angrily.
"N-Nii-san is strong... He can handle that guy by himself-"
"This is not about his strength, but his feelings and emotions! He was already in bad state! He had gone through too many difficulties! Do you think he could contain his feelings after everything that struck him?! It is only a matter of time until he completely loses himself!" At this rate, he couldn't hold back his voice. Raising the volume at the loudest.
Tears began to flood in the girl's yellow eyes. She sobbed, hurt by her little brother's scolding. "I-It isn't like he is going to listen to us.... If even M-Mommy couldn't get through him, then how could w-we do it? I-It just seems impossible..." She voiced out her concern, her mind recalling all those horrible memories.
This time, the boy didn't resort to screaming at his big sister. He resulted to silence, face darkening with devastation. He wouldn't admit it, but he was taken aback by her words. "We lost Daddy, we lost Mommy... We got seperated from Nee-san while travelling here... Do you still think we have hope to stop Nii-san? He would not even listen to us when we tried to stop him before..." She continued, voice ringing with heartbreak.
Sighing, the boy pulled his older sister into a tight embrace. She cried her heart out in his arms. God, how they missed their parents' warm embrace. But right now... They only have each other.
The boy couldn't say anything back to argue. Everything the female teenager spell out were also his true feelings and thoughts that he hid deep inside his heart, but he refused to say it out loud. He wanted to assure himself. He wanted to feel there was at least a tiny bit of hope left inside.
But, oh how was wrong to do that.
The hope was nothing but delusional only. All he could see was despair awaiting them.
Will they even have a chance to stop their older brother?

Yagi's residence,
Nighttime...
Third Person's POV
"MOMMY! DADDY!"
Ichiru was the first one to greet his beloved parents as soon as they arrived. He hopped off from the couch and ran toward them with his little stubby legs. He almost tripped a few times, but managed to maintain his composure.
Kai smiled beneath the mask. Opening his arms, Ichiru then jumped at him. The germaphobic adult hugged his youngest son lovingly. Izuku only watched them from behind, smiling softly at her baby boy.
"Have you been a good boy today, Ichi?" Izuku asked, stroking his curls gently. Ichiru was picked up by Kai and hugging his father's neck. "Yep!" He remarked joyfully. He was being more clingy than usual. All of his older siblings went to sleep quite earlier today and couldn't wait for their parents' arrival.
"Daddy... Overjerk!"
Ichiru's next word caught the two parents off guard. Toshinori and Inko looked at each other defeatedly. Ever since returning from the playground, Ichiru has been mentioning the same curse word. He would sing that word repeatedly as he drew a picture of his beloved father.
Kai's body started shaking from rage. He hated that nickname more than anything in this world. It just ticked him off. His face darkened as he stared at Ichiru. "Ichi... Where did you learn that word?" He asked huskily. Ichiru looked reluctant to answer due to fear. He recalled his meeting with Rappa.
"M-Mommy's and Daddy's friend called y-you that... Overjerk." Ichiru blurted out that word again. Izuku facepalmed at this. "Ichi sweetheart, that is a bad word. Don't call Daddy with that name again. See? Daddy is not happy even a bit... Do you want to make Daddy sad, honey?" She spoke up softly.
Hearing that, tears welled up in his honey yellow eyes. Ichiru wailed before crying out words of apology. "D-Daddy, Ichi sorry! Don't hate Ichi! Ichi love Daddy!! Uwaaaaah!!" He hugged his neck. But Kai was not reacting to his apology even a little bit. He handed over the little boy to his wife and walked away from them.
"Wait, Kai-"
"Now, now, Izuku. Give your husband some space..." Toshinori cut Izuku off, shaking his head in disagreement. She sighed, complying with her stepfather. The greenette patted her crying son's back comfortingly.
'That nickname... Must have offended Kai more than anything... He always told me how he was constantly irritated everytime Rappa-san called him that... Well, I can understand his feelings. Kacchan gave me quite the mean nickname too.' Izuku heaved out a deep sigh at her thoughts.
"Sorry, Izu. I can not stop Ichiru from repeating that insulting nickname.... I don't know where he learnt it but he had been saying that name after returning from playground. Maybe he heard some bad kids cussing back then... " Inko said apologetically. Izuku noticed something was odd with her mother.
"Oh, it is okay, Mom. Don't worry yourself over it. Anyway, do you mind if all of us stay over here for the night? Kai seemed quite tired. I don't think he could drive.... And I'm scared of driving at night." The heroine asked, looking up at her parents. Toshinori nodded giving permissions.
"Sure! We don't mind. Stay over as long as you want." the yellow-haired man earnestly invited. Izuku smiled softly at him, mouthing a small 'thank you'.
"Ichi sweetie, let's go apologize to Daddy again, okay?"
Ichiru didn't respond to Izuku. He was busy sobbing in his mother's warm embrace. She just smiled sadly and excused herself. Walking over to the dining room, they found Kai sitting at the table. There was a cup of water standing on top of the table surface.
"Kai...."
Izuku called out for her husband softly and sweetly. Said man lifted his head up. Shock was written on his face. "Kai, I know it must have offended you but Ichiru didn't mean to call you with that name.... Please forgive him?" She begged, looking at her son back.
Ichiru had fat tears in his eyes, leaking out from the corner of his eyes. He reached out his arms for his father. Kai stared at the little boy. The moment he saw the crystal liquid, pity washed away his anger.
The young man sighed softly before taking the child from his wife's hold. "Sorry, little one..." He whispered. Ichiru clutched on his father and kept sobbing words of apology.
"Sorry, Daddy... Sorry... D-don't hate Ichi..."
"Hey, hey, it is fine now. Daddy love you so much, okay?"
Izuku let the two had their own touching moment while she eyed the house. Her parents already headed back to their chamber to sleep. There were only Kai, Ichiru and her in the living room.
"Come on. Let's go to sleep... Aren't you sleepy?"
Ichiru sleepily nodded his head. He leaned on Kai's chest, closing his eyes. Kai got up from the chair and approached his wife.
"Let's go to sleep. I'm really tired today.."
"Mhm, me too."
Without hesitating, the three Chisakis headed to the guest's room and went straight to sleep due to exhaustion.
